  • god damn this band! they completely ruined music for me. after listening to how amazing they are i havent been able to like any other bands. they are fucking brilliant

  • @JamesMooody Why would you get these lyrics tattooed on you?? Are you a prison guard that had to execute a wrongfully imprisoned pregnant women named Kezia against your better judgement?

  • DOes anyone know where I can find a full version of this? Like the whole song played on acoustic? D: Cant seem to find it anywhere

  • planning on getting these lyrics tattooed on my fore arms. fuck yeah.

  • beautiful : )

  • i love this part thank you for uploading it :)

  • "A sin I didn't care for, but a sin that paid my debts. A sin that fed my children, that burned my smiles and cigarettes."

I love the writing on this album, Arif is so awesome!

  • personally, i find the second release with the piano intro and no acoustic outro suits more... it goes more with the song.

  • ive been looking for this for a whille. trying to look for blindfolds aside with this at the end but i cant find nothing.

  • @SUDZSK8

This is the UK release I think, I guess you've got the other one with the piano intro

  • Does anyone actually know who the girl is?

  • @Emenlll It's Jadea Kelly.

  • This is baeutiful..:)

  • @SamiiFosho I mean beautiful

  • luke hoskin for prime minister of Canada !

  • @JadenHellmann:

    (out of curiosity)

But why would he use dissonance rather than consonance, as the acoustic is a seemingly joyous and positive piece?

  • @ConflagrationAttempt because you touch youself at night

  • sorry for the late response..

its all out of preference for the sound you want to create. i cannot tell you exactly why he would use it as i dont know his mind set while he was writing. dissonance can be used effectively, especially by good writers. our ears are accustomed to hearing consonance (especially in the ever bland world of pop music) and by adding dissonance a musician can essentially throw a curveball at the listener. as you may agree, it doesnt exactly sound wrong, just different

  • hope this helps, any more questions give me a shout.. sorry kinda ran out of room there..

@ ipmatic .. sorry to see you fail to appreciate what makes the music you like so great.. i know somethin brought you here.

  • is that a wrong note at :58?

love this song, especially with this outro. so sick.

  • its a C# which doesnt fit the key ( of G major ) and its used over the C in the G, F# root /G, C progression.. when i play it with a D instead it sounds great but knowing how protest writes rody was probably looking to use the dissonance, i mostly say that of course because i know a band at protests level wouldnt leave a recording with notes that werent meant to be played... musically it is wrong but the secret to being a great musician is knowing the rules well enough to be able to break them..

  • @untreatable

My guess would be that this was Luke's best run of this, so he simply decided to leave it in.

  • Lol, i wouldnt think the ending to the song wouldnt be like this, i only listend to the first 45 sec. because i was only looking for this part, But now that i found it, i feel so stupid x3

  • omg, these guys are so talented

they wrote this album when they where like 18...

    amazing

  • where is this version

  • On the CD

  • There are two versions, the UK release has this outro, and the restoftheworld release has the Piano Outro. I wish there was one version that had both.

  • oh ok, i have the us version i guess i wish i could dl this one somehow. . .

  • I just got it off of Frostwire, but Limewire would have it too.

I've edited both versions so I'll put 'em up later on

  • Really?

    Huh.

I always wondered why people said this song had a piano outro. The version I got has this acoustic ending. Given, I downloaded it yeeeeeears ago (before I really appreciated music and thus, PTH) from some random site...

    Neato.

  • A sin I didn't care for, but a sin that paid my debts. /

A sin that fed my children, that burned my smiles in cigarettes.

  • i dont even care what this woman looks like, i'd do her just from her voice, if that's not the voice of an angel then what is?

  • Shes in "The Divine Suicide of K" video her name is Jadea Kelly

  • yea i saw her the other day in the video.

  • although in this context her name would be Kezia wouldn't it?

  • @OneMoreMemory shes not gorgeous but definately doable lol

  • @OneMoreMemory

    she's gorgeous as well!

  • @OneMoreMemory thats hilarious! i was just thinking that yesterday lol

  • @OneMoreMemory Rody's

  • @OneMoreMemory Thumbs up for Jadea Kelly, what a badass.

  • this makes this song twice as dope .... PTH!!!!

  • This is such an awesome contrast to the kickassness of the rest of the song. Great musicality imo.

  • yeah they should more of this kind of stuff on their next album which they said they begin writing in early june. but yeah this part sounds like some kind of baroque guitar song or it would probably sound appropriate in a starbucks or a some kind of urban coffee shop

  • I guess this part is on de national, first release. And on the international release there was a piano piece.

  • well uhrm i'm stupid

    here are the lyrics:

a sin I didn't care for, but a sin that paid my debts

A sin that fed my children and burned my smiles and cigarettes

  • i think she sounds like the one who also sang at autumns monologue by from autumn to ashes

but don't know if she is Oo

are there some lyrics for this part?

  • thats what i think too lol

  • This is music.

  • favorite part of the song

  • I got this album, and i was listening and then i heard this part and i was like..... wtf?? whered this come from.... but its quite soothing. Its different from the Blindsfold aside single i downloaded before. The acoustic ending version doesn't have that whole piano bit either which is in the beginning.

  • insane outro

  • Hey I found it, the album was re-released and it's on the original Canadian release (I think). Anyways I'll upload it in a second.

  • Yeah I'd like to find this too, no luck yet. Anyone?

  • Where do you get the version of the song with this part? I have the actual CD and its not on it.

  • yeah it is
