Thank you for this video, I'm a Glazier apprentice and I didn't quite understand how to read the tape measure. Now it wont be as difficult for me to measure aluminum to cut and will give me more confidence.
I am 56 years old and never learned how to use a tape measure.Listening to you made it really simple in explaining how to use one.I caught on real quick by listening to you.Thank you so much and now I can say I know how to use one.I could never catch on before from someone else.
You did an awesome job explaining this! All the other videos I searched didn't cover the hook issue and now you have cleared it up for me. Thank you endlessly for this!!
@theStormaftertheCalm You're welcome. The "hook" issue is on one of my course quizzes. It's one of the ways I can tell if my students have watched the entire video.
I'm glad the video helped. Thanks for visiting. Scott
He didn't tell you that the tape hes useing has loose rivets and wont give you a good mesurement .butting the tape to whatever your measureing will push the end of the tape in ,and hookin the tape to whatever your measureing will pull the hook out .
great job explaining it i have an interview an i have to measure things to due the job but i did have a clue about a tape measure only in inches lol But no i can go in confident in measuring somethin thanks so much for the post!!
I do electrical and mechanical engineering at collage and if this was explaned to me on the first day I would understand alot more than I havee been doing.

@ElReyD3Reyes I'm glad you liked it. I'm working on another that deals with adding fractions of measurements together.
Take care, Scott
