This is happening to America because Obama thought it was cute-n-funny to bail out Gold Man Sucks and JP Morgan.
Obama just yesterday announced that another 2 trillion in credit lines will be extended to Fannie and Freddie to bail out trillions more in worthless derivatives and credit-default swaps sold by Goldman Sucks and shorted by JP Morgan.
@genius2005 Well... I would never blame this mess on Obama (though it's "his" problem now). Large issues of joblessness and housing affordability, has been huge problems for a long time now. I would argue though, that the bailouts of large banking and investment corporations, and the lacking stimulus for everyone else, signifies the priorities of all of our elected officials.
continued...However, as Thich Nhat Hahn would argue, do we not deserve our government? If every-day citizens are not as active as the lobbyists in voicing their thoughts and opinions as to what is best for this country, what can we truly expect?
@genius2005 Ummmm - Genius, not saying Obama is perfect (he's another politician after all), but if this "obama's fault - why did the decline begin BEFORE Obama took office? This is a societal problem. We hand Nasa billions each year to throw junk into the sky and tell us they are going to another world while people can't afford housing. Stupidity is the problem in the U.S.
Why all the chat about political puppet figures, wake up already.
