it was a little low but then again, any landing where there is no damage is a good landing. one time i flew against a japanese battleship with an SBD-5 and was shot to hell but made it back with about 50% power cuz they hit my engine
The bigger the plane, the easier the landing is only true because the pilot handles larger birds more slowly and deliberately. With small agile planes it is much more tempting to try to force it down even if high and fast. Landing a B-17 or 737 is easier than an F-16 or F4 because you don't get cocky.
i tryed landing once in a spit after a heavy fight, no ammo, holes in the wing etc. oh and of course one landing gear worked the other didnt took off the right wing and the tail spun and hit the command deck of the carrier
ha. thats nothing, i landed a B17 on one. Oh, and my engine was out in a 109 K4 and i really tried to preserve me speed, and i landed right on the deck, but without the arrester hook....I kinda fell of the end.(shoulda used flaps)
