i still cant believe after so many accidents that the city council hasnt looked at changing the warning lights to something more visible at street level. having flashing lights up so high is so easy to miss. by having a pole on the sidewalk with flashing or strobing lights, it should reduce the problem

someone needs to lower the warning sign about 2 feet, they can't see the bridge below the sign when they approach it. Probably the person filming these videos are sabotaging the sign.

wow an OTR trucker finally hit your bridge. In an unrelated incident, earlier this week an OTR trucker got on the Hutchinson River Parkway in the Bronx and nailed the Westchester avenue bridge good. he was hauling a container, and the container was ripped off the trailer and landed on a truck that was parked on the side of the road occupied by 2 bridge inspectors. Both men were badly hurt --one is in a medically induced coma.

It absolutely amazes me, that this continues to happen. There is a way to fix the problem, I can tell you how to end the crashes all together, but if you did, then you wont get to enjoy the videos anymore. I can just imagine how many Bridge Watching Parties, you must throw, oh what fun you must have laughing every time it occurs... With the exception, of when your brought out of a deep sleep, with that oh such familiar BAM!!!!

That's a driver who will be looking for a job. There is no quarter given to Class A CDL drivers who damage their trucks by running into a restricted vertical clearance. It's not only grounds for instant termination, it goes on their DAC report which will make it hard for him/her to get a job elsewhere.
