@Trebgah you don't need to be racist to dislike certain things that are conducted by some members of a culture. You are taking an extreme aspect of a culture and applying it to the rest. Example: not all Americans own guns, but there is a stereotype that Americans are gun-crazy. Is that fair? No. Your argument is very self-serving and limited.
Certainly. The same way removing wolves and panthers from an area hurt vegetation by causing overpopulation of ruminants.
Coral reefs are fragile, and easily destroyed by invasive species or overpopulation. This has happened many times with the overfishing of reef predators who prey on crown-of-thorns starfish, causing massive destruction of reefs when the crown-of-thorns stars grow unchecked.

@iTrollThis consider the area in which these superstitions arise. There's not much education in Africa. They don't know. Their beliefs are still centered around superstition (why I say "they", I mean Africa as a whole, not the individuals who may be educated). There's a belief in Africa that if you get aids, you can take it away by having sex with a virgin. They don't know, and thus they still believe superstitions.
@Mikraken23 Also consider that some people, who believe themselves to be educated, can have an amazing amount of arrogance towards those whom they believe are 'uneducated'. I have yet to find any man from Kenya or Sudan who helped defend the U.S. Army's Forward Operating Bases in Iraq to be the 'stupid superstitious people', but comical, entertaining, intelligent men with strong faith in God and strong love for their families. That is a rarity these days in our so-called 'postmodern' world.
@thanatosstorm I'm not in disagreement at all. From a sociological perspective, a culture that is undereducated in one area may know more in a different area than another culture.
I hope you didn't take my statement to be offensive. I did not mean, in any way, that Africans are "stupid" or that any particular culture is better. I simply meant that in the area of science and medicine, Africa has the least knowledge. Thus they explain things through superstition.
@Mikraken23 Is everything that is believed superstition? As a born-again Christian I have learned that we should not look merely to our mental faculties, but also our emotional and spiritual matters, and to say that everything in the human condition is to be explained away with science is a matter of nonsense for those who do not believe in God.
And no, I did not take your comment as a offense. I was making an observation.
@thanatosstorm I too am a born again Christian. But as the Creator of the universe, isn't it natural that the functionality of the universe would reflect its Creator?
Many Christians seem to be scared of science. As if it might discredit God. But science actually validates the Word of God. This is where people go wrong. Superstition, however, has no logical basis. Our God is reality and is supported by a logical basis. Superstition, however, is not.
@Mikraken23 Depends on the conjecture of what is superstition and what is reality. A superstition is something that has no basis... demons, for example, are spiritual creatures that are just as real as God. But we oftentimes forget to understand that we live in a world that is undergoing a spiritual war at all times of the day and night, and we forget what the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians about putting on the armor of God and stepping forward as men of God and Christ.
@thanatosstorm the difference between superstition and reality is is that superstition has no basis. Superstition has no basis. Thus since the Word of God is reality, and that we can trust the validity of the evidence of the truth of scripture, we can trust that what it says about the unknown is true.
@iTrollThis I love how people assume religion is unintelligent just because it doesn't make sense to them. And yet anything I say to you will do nothing to persuade you, so really, what is the point in starting an argument? That's where I see this going.
By the way, religion is a cultural universal in the study of sociology. You better get used to intelligent people claiming faith. :)
@Mikraken23 Its not about making sense or not. Lets take for instance the bible, its so full of contradictions and mistakes. I bet if u were born in a Muslin country by now would be a die-hard Muslin. Anyway as you said its pointless arguing with you. Here read this: rationalwiki. org/wiki/List_of_mistakes_made_by_God .
@iTrollThis I've already read that before. (these numbers are rough estimates) About 70% of those things are differences between the old and new covenant, 25% is taken out of context, and 5% or completely irrelevant. 9 out of 10 people who say there are inconsistencies in the Bible can't point them out for themselves. Those who can point them out are pointing out details stemming from misunderstanding.
@iTrollThis Oh, I was thinking of a different list. I was looking at this list you just linked. It seems like this guy is upset because God didn't design things "conveniently" for us. Convenience isn't perfection. Also, for the list of biblical mistakes, he fails to take into account for the PURPOSE as to why God did these things. He just focused on what seems inconsistent without asking why. If you don't ask why, you'll be satisfied at face value.
@Mikraken23 Truth of scripture? Like how it describes the earth as being shaped like a flat disk, says that insects have four legs, and holding a striped cloth in front of a pregnant, solid colored cow will cause her to give birth to a striped calf? That truth?
@Macrochenia No, the scriptural truth of the Bible. Not Roman Catholic superstition (borderline mysticism) with no logical foundation. Don't confuse the Roman Catholic teachings with what the Bible actually says. Read a book before you criticize it.
@Mikraken23 Alright, here's a few: Matthew 4:8- Jesus travels to the top of a mountain so high he can "see all the kingdoms of the world" Only possible if the world is flat (and a lot smaller in diameter than the Earth actually is).
Leviticus 11:19 refers to bats as birds and 11:20-23 refers to insects as birds with 4 legs.
@Macrochenia Matthew 4:8- This doesn't imply that the world is flat. This is figurative language. Just like somebody says something like, "I'm so hungry I can eat a whole cow!", they are getting across the fact that they are hungry. Likewise, they are getting across the fact that Jesus went to a mountain where He could see many cities in the distance.
Leviticus 11:19- the bat is being listed among the birds. Their definition of a bird was a flying animal. So bat had to be specified here too.
@Macrochenia Leviticus 11:20-23 "On all fours" is a poor choice of words used in the translation of scripture. My guess is that in the original greek translation (the Septuagint) another expression was being used in this place, and that this expression was the closest thing we had to the original expression used. But that part may will require some research. I do think that in this case, however, "On all fours" is meant to depict the fact that they mainly crawl on the ground rather than fly.
@Mikraken23 Given the difference between the symbol for "four" and the symbol for "six" in Greek, I find it difficult to believe that a translator would make such an error. It is more likely that the error was made in the original writing. But you appear to be playing the classic game of "well, that part was just metaphor" when faced with parts that can't be true, and I don't have time for someone who's going to bother with such word games.
@Macrochenia It's sad that you are so set against the Bible that you don't even realize that figurative language existed back in that age as much as it did in this age. That every single phrase in the Bible must be taken in its literal context. But I'm sure that thousands of years from now, when people analyze our manuscripts, there will still be the ignorant few who still take literally every piece of information that we write.
@Mikraken23 Humans have spent more than 1500 years claiming that the bible is literally true, but when modern observations and experiments began demonstrating the impossibility of it, it suddenly became a metaphor. So much for sacred, inherent truths.
@Macrochenia Then the question must be asked: does modern observation show inconsistencies in the Bible? Or does it show inconsistencies in the traditional views and interpretations of the Bible?
I guess I can't change your perspective. But the message of the Bible hasn't changed, no matter how hung up we can get on these little issues that don't seem to make sense. But from what I see in my perspective is that the Bible isn't flawed, but our traditional understanding of it.
@Mikraken23 "Or does it show inconsistencies in the traditional views and interpretations of the Bible?"
Now you're being ridiculous. This is a book that has been shown to be wildly inaccurate on biology (already discussed), math (pi is not equal to 3) or, astronomy (the earth is not surrounded by a crystal dome from which the stars hang and the sun can't be made to stand still in the sky). Its punishments are outragous (stone disobedient children, Noah curses Ham's son, original sin).
@Mikraken23 The idea that the bible is somehow "divinely inspired" or "sacred truth" simply doesn't work. The book just falls apart under any amount of scrutiny.
@iTrollThis That speaks to your education... it would seem that so-called 'education' breeds arrogance. God bless, pray you'll think twice before you speak once again.
@thanatosstorm please! pray (50% 50%) change."it would seem that so-called 'education' breeds arrogance." Religion would be the best example of that.
@iTrollThis No, religion would be to have a relationship with God and with Jesus, not arrogance. Having faith in God is not the hallmark of an arrogant man if that same man admits humbly that he himself is only a sinner redeemed through faith and attempts to live a better life for God and for Jesus. Faith, hope, love, and charity are some of the hallmarks of these.
This was an offer of correction of your attitude towards a people, but if you do not take what is offered, than so be it. GBU.
@thanatosstorm "The believe that some cosmic jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as you master, so you can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-women was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. Makes prefect sense." LOL. for me your religion is a superstition. Damn i want some of ur drugs.
@iTrollThis You can have all the drugs that the world has to offer. I smoke cigarettes and that's it.
As far as all the stuff that you quoted, here's what makes sense for you:
You don't believe in anything. You don't have any hope in an afterlife, you don't have any faith except what you can see, taste, or touch, and you don't have any love for anyone else outside of yourself. That's what you say when you don't believe in God and you act in such a despicable, dishonorable, disgusting manner.
@iTrollThis Men like you, who have no faith, who have no hope, who have no love other than money, sex, and whatever else it is you uphold as your personal idol for the minute that you have it, are the kind of men who expect everyone to get out of your way and expect that everyone else will see things your way eventually if you continue to act in the manner that you do, when in fact all you do is harden your heart, your soul, your spirit, and you distance yourself from everything good about life.
@thanatosstorm Men like you who have faith, have not real hope, not real love just hypocrisy. You all want to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. You all do good things because if you do bad things youll go to hell. What is so scary about having no afterlife? there is a afterlife, And its called Descendants, Because they will be the only proof of your existence. /TrollOff
@iTrollThis We don't do "good things" to get to heaven. Nothing we do on our own can ever be good. We get to go to Heaven because we've made God our Lord. As a response to that, we naturally begin to do "good things". Is heaven our goal? No. Who cares about what Heaven is like? Our goal is to spend eternity with God Himself. Not to end up in paradise. However, paradise comes as a result. Hell is separation from God. If you don't want God, He'll give you what you want- eternal separation from Him
@iTrollThis Mikraken has it correctly. You think because I claim Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, that I am somehow immune to the world we live in?
You think we are not intelligent enough to know all of the arguments that have been made against the Bible?
And yet, all of those contradictions (none of which are contradictions in reality, simply unknowable to those who do not believe, as it is written, the Word is foolishness to those who do not believe) are factual and real and have basis.
@iTrollThis And if you understood what was meant in communion, you would know that, in fact, it's NOT eating the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, it's eating it IN REMEMBRANCE of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross... for YOUR sins, as well as for mine. And that, I find amazing, because I've been a horrible man in my life, and I've done a lot of things that I'm not proud of, but Jesus would still accept me if I asked Him for it. You, on the other hand, are too proud for Him or God.
@The1andonlyIris IT IS CUTE!. though the ear shapes catch my eye some time. then again i have a cat with no ears (just the breed) but it looks...so right (his hearing is fine the ears are just flat thus the name Scottish fold cat)
my dad told me that china ppl althought protect pandas alot. but they still ate them. just that they don have the chance to do that YUCK!poor pandas =(
@Tactual It was transfered to a protected Safari, where it will be nurtured and helped with reproduction. The biologists are doing what they can to heelp it. Calm down man!
not all chinese people eat everything. :P my mom ate her pet dog though. :( it was a boy and I asked her what they did with the penis. my dad said they ate it :O
These are adorable. I'd love to feel a pangolin scale one day before I die. Who ever could have it in their heart to hurt a pangolin is sick. People eat them in China; this is WRONG WRONG WRONG save the pangolin!
Beautiful and interesting animal. Looks unreal, like it was designed opposite of what mammals should look like (instead of hairs, it has armor platings).
..i for one dont care about what language people spk or where they come from , we are one plant, one people and colour and language and race should never be a tool to beat others with, your sad ....grow up or shut up....
..the world and its plants and animal species are in trouble and all you care about is stiring up hate about something this clip is nothing to do with....you want to harp on about how hard done you feel, how bad it is that people spk english then go find another site and whittle on to people who give a $hit....
you guys are fkin jokes....this is about an endangered and hunted animal and all you are worried about is that the guy spks english...your fkin sad, no wonder the world is in such a mess when idiots like you work this earth. Protectingafrica you and people like you are the reason there is so much hatred in the world. you go on about the language of the oppressor... fkin grow up, who gives a fk..
Using English as "ProtectingAfrica" does not by any means mean that we are servants of the English. A Luo that can speak Kikuyu is not a servant of a Kikuyu. It is important to develop our languages but your reasoning is completely misleading. English is basically the official language of business. If you go to China and you cannot express yourself in mandarin, my bet is that you will go English. In some countries in western Europe, its compulsory to study English in high school. Style up!
Decolonize what? A lot of Kenyans have benefited from living in the diaspora and have in turn benefited Kenya through remittance. Foreign Languages like English, French and German have enabled Kenyans to live and work in the diaspora without the burden of a language barrier. Some other Chinese woman, working at Grocery store in the meat section, took out her frustration for not being able to communicate in English by slashing customers with a meat cleaver. Open your eyes!
your words are words of manipulation in order for the oppressor language to survive in Kenya and Africa.
less than 1% of Kenyan benefit from leaving Kenya and going to UK for work, it mean 99% of Kenya will be chained to English for the less than 1%.
Kenyan cannot sacrifice their language because of artificial claims, because the English, the French and Portuguese when coming to Kenya for work do not learn Swahili, so why should we learn their languages?
I pity you and suggest immediate intervention to free your mind. Its been a while sincce I saw or read from someone so enslave by their own prejudices. Please Mr or Madam ProtectingAfrica seek some help before it is too late
English is a British people Language and not our language, Kenya should only speak Swahili in order to decolonize and protect our languages from dying.
Using English mean we are servants of the English people that brutally enslaved us and raped us. that language was brutally imposed on the African people and now that we are free it should be removed and a way paved for an African language to be dominant and high.
You want me to seek help because my words are threatening the oppressor language, ahahahaha.
You believe African's didn't pay enough in the hands of europeans and now must reject their own language and only speak our oppressors languages as if we were born to be their servants for eternity.
you must go back to europe where you come from, we will bring that colonial language down. it is a colonial language and it brings us nothing but destruction of our own languages.
i am not white, and i will name my child however i please, whether its gregory or odhiambo or both. if you have a problem with that, then please go jump off a cliff.
The reporter also has a europeans name, what will happen to African names if we do not use them, please make it a law that every brown "black" baby born can only have an African name given to him.
Because English should be phased-out nationally, it mean the government pass laws and phase by phase it is removed, that is the only way it will be effective.
So i was calling on the Kenyan government to start the process and that will make all of us decolonize, because the law will apply to all of us.

By the way, religion is a cultural universal in the study of sociology. You better get used to intelligent people claiming faith. :)
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 Its not about making sense or not. Lets take for instance the bible, its so full of contradictions and mistakes. I bet if u were born in a Muslin country by now would be a die-hard Muslin. Anyway as you said its pointless arguing with you. Here read this: rationalwiki. org/wiki/List_of_mistakes_made_by_God .
iTrollThis 1 year ago
@iTrollThis I've already read that before. (these numbers are rough estimates) About 70% of those things are differences between the old and new covenant, 25% is taken out of context, and 5% or completely irrelevant. 9 out of 10 people who say there are inconsistencies in the Bible can't point them out for themselves. Those who can point them out are pointing out details stemming from misunderstanding.
Mikraken23 1 year ago

That truth?
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@Macrochenia No, the scriptural truth of the Bible. Not Roman Catholic superstition (borderline mysticism) with no logical foundation. Don't confuse the Roman Catholic teachings with what the Bible actually says. Read a book before you criticize it.
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 I have read the bible. Would you like me to start quoting chapters and verses?
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@Macrochenia That would be wonderful, thank you.
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 Alright, here's a few: Matthew 4:8- Jesus travels to the top of a mountain so high he can "see all the kingdoms of the world" Only possible if the world is flat (and a lot smaller in diameter than the Earth actually is).
Leviticus 11:19 refers to bats as birds and 11:20-23 refers to insects as birds with 4 legs.
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@Macrochenia Matthew 4:8- This doesn't imply that the world is flat. This is figurative language. Just like somebody says something like, "I'm so hungry I can eat a whole cow!", they are getting across the fact that they are hungry. Likewise, they are getting across the fact that Jesus went to a mountain where He could see many cities in the distance.
Leviticus 11:19- the bat is being listed among the birds. Their definition of a bird was a flying animal. So bat had to be specified here too.
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Macrochenia Leviticus 11:20-23 "On all fours" is a poor choice of words used in the translation of scripture. My guess is that in the original greek translation (the Septuagint) another expression was being used in this place, and that this expression was the closest thing we had to the original expression used. But that part may will require some research. I do think that in this case, however, "On all fours" is meant to depict the fact that they mainly crawl on the ground rather than fly.
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 Given the difference between the symbol for "four" and the symbol for "six" in Greek, I find it difficult to believe that a translator would make such an error. It is more likely that the error was made in the original writing. But you appear to be playing the classic game of "well, that part was just metaphor" when faced with parts that can't be true, and I don't have time for someone who's going to bother with such word games.
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@Macrochenia It's sad that you are so set against the Bible that you don't even realize that figurative language existed back in that age as much as it did in this age. That every single phrase in the Bible must be taken in its literal context. But I'm sure that thousands of years from now, when people analyze our manuscripts, there will still be the ignorant few who still take literally every piece of information that we write.
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 Humans have spent more than 1500 years claiming that the bible is literally true, but when modern observations and experiments began demonstrating the impossibility of it, it suddenly became a metaphor. So much for sacred, inherent truths.
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@Macrochenia Then the question must be asked: does modern observation show inconsistencies in the Bible? Or does it show inconsistencies in the traditional views and interpretations of the Bible?
I guess I can't change your perspective. But the message of the Bible hasn't changed, no matter how hung up we can get on these little issues that don't seem to make sense. But from what I see in my perspective is that the Bible isn't flawed, but our traditional understanding of it.
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 "Or does it show inconsistencies in the traditional views and interpretations of the Bible?"
Now you're being ridiculous. This is a book that has been shown to be wildly inaccurate on biology (already discussed), math (pi is not equal to 3) or, astronomy (the earth is not surrounded by a crystal dome from which the stars hang and the sun can't be made to stand still in the sky). Its punishments are outragous (stone disobedient children, Noah curses Ham's son, original sin).
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@Mikraken23 The idea that the bible is somehow "divinely inspired" or "sacred truth" simply doesn't work. The book just falls apart under any amount of scrutiny.
Macrochenia 1 year ago
@iTrollThis That speaks to your education... it would seem that so-called 'education' breeds arrogance. God bless, pray you'll think twice before you speak once again.
thanatosstorm 1 year ago
@thanatosstorm please! pray (50% 50%) change."it would seem that so-called 'education' breeds arrogance." Religion would be the best example of that.
iTrollThis 1 year ago
@iTrollThis No, religion would be to have a relationship with God and with Jesus, not arrogance. Having faith in God is not the hallmark of an arrogant man if that same man admits humbly that he himself is only a sinner redeemed through faith and attempts to live a better life for God and for Jesus. Faith, hope, love, and charity are some of the hallmarks of these.
This was an offer of correction of your attitude towards a people, but if you do not take what is offered, than so be it. GBU.
thanatosstorm 1 year ago
@thanatosstorm "The believe that some cosmic jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as you master, so you can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-women was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. Makes prefect sense." LOL. for me your religion is a superstition. Damn i want some of ur drugs.
iTrollThis 1 year ago
@iTrollThis You can have all the drugs that the world has to offer. I smoke cigarettes and that's it.
As far as all the stuff that you quoted, here's what makes sense for you:
You don't believe in anything. You don't have any hope in an afterlife, you don't have any faith except what you can see, taste, or touch, and you don't have any love for anyone else outside of yourself. That's what you say when you don't believe in God and you act in such a despicable, dishonorable, disgusting manner.
thanatosstorm 1 year ago
@iTrollThis Men like you, who have no faith, who have no hope, who have no love other than money, sex, and whatever else it is you uphold as your personal idol for the minute that you have it, are the kind of men who expect everyone to get out of your way and expect that everyone else will see things your way eventually if you continue to act in the manner that you do, when in fact all you do is harden your heart, your soul, your spirit, and you distance yourself from everything good about life.
thanatosstorm 1 year ago
@thanatosstorm Men like you who have faith, have not real hope, not real love just hypocrisy. You all want to go to heaven but nobody wants to die. You all do good things because if you do bad things youll go to hell. What is so scary about having no afterlife? there is a afterlife, And its called Descendants, Because they will be the only proof of your existence. /TrollOff
iTrollThis 1 year ago
@iTrollThis We don't do "good things" to get to heaven. Nothing we do on our own can ever be good. We get to go to Heaven because we've made God our Lord. As a response to that, we naturally begin to do "good things". Is heaven our goal? No. Who cares about what Heaven is like? Our goal is to spend eternity with God Himself. Not to end up in paradise. However, paradise comes as a result. Hell is separation from God. If you don't want God, He'll give you what you want- eternal separation from Him
Mikraken23 1 year ago
@iTrollThis Mikraken has it correctly. You think because I claim Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, that I am somehow immune to the world we live in?
You think we are not intelligent enough to know all of the arguments that have been made against the Bible?
And yet, all of those contradictions (none of which are contradictions in reality, simply unknowable to those who do not believe, as it is written, the Word is foolishness to those who do not believe) are factual and real and have basis.
thanatosstorm 1 year ago
@iTrollThis And if you understood what was meant in communion, you would know that, in fact, it's NOT eating the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, it's eating it IN REMEMBRANCE of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross... for YOUR sins, as well as for mine. And that, I find amazing, because I've been a horrible man in my life, and I've done a lot of things that I'm not proud of, but Jesus would still accept me if I asked Him for it. You, on the other hand, are too proud for Him or God.

winslow73 2 years ago

Open your eyes!
daddycliff 2 years ago 2
your words are words of manipulation in order for the oppressor language to survive in Kenya and Africa.
less than 1% of Kenyan benefit from leaving Kenya and going to UK for work, it mean 99% of Kenya will be chained to English for the less than 1%.
Kenyan cannot sacrifice their language because of artificial claims, because the English, the French and Portuguese when coming to Kenya for work do not learn Swahili, so why should we learn their languages?
They too come here for work

English is a British people Language and not our language, Kenya should only speak Swahili in order to decolonize and protect our languages from dying.
Using English mean we are servants of the English people that brutally enslaved us and raped us. that language was brutally imposed on the African people and now that we are free it should be removed and a way paved for an African language to be dominant and high.
ProtectingAfrica 2 years ago
You want me to seek help because my words are threatening the oppressor language, ahahahaha.
You believe African's didn't pay enough in the hands of europeans and now must reject their own language and only speak our oppressors languages as if we were born to be their servants for eternity.
you must go back to europe where you come from, we will bring that colonial language down. it is a colonial language and it brings us nothing but destruction of our own languages.

You are without doubt a pink 'white" person with evil hatred in your heart and want to see all African names dead.
if that is not your intention, why would you want us not to use our names but use european names?
do europeans give their kids our names.
you little devil deserve to be------- in order to protect our identity from extinction.

You are certainly pink because there is no one with a white skin color on this planet.
When the law is passed African names will be protected and that's it.
your attemt to destroy African't names so that we can keep having the symbols of europe supremacy over us will be terminated.
we are equal humans and not europeans dogs.
they never name their kids with african names why should we?
your threat against us is seen as the devil plot.

ProtectingAfrica 2 years ago
Why don't you start 'decolonizing' yourself by not writing in English.Tsk!
loisenasio 2 years ago
Because English should be phased-out nationally, it mean the government pass laws and phase by phase it is removed, that is the only way it will be effective.
So i was calling on the Kenyan government to start the process and that will make all of us decolonize, because the law will apply to all of us.
