  • I don't mean to break away from the wonderful historical replies on here but, who is the girl at 5:13? Every time I've watched that scene it seems like she is of some significance.

  • Thanks for this great history lesson. I wish more vids like this would be posted .Very educational

  • Thanks for watching & sharing your comments! Early in her life, she suffered a traumatic head wound which caused spells of hypersomnia (excessive amounts of sleepiness) yet she lead the "Underground Railroad" freeing thousands of slaves & didn't loose not even ONE passenger...WOW what spunk!! She is truely a REAL hero to be inspired by & educate ourselves & children about her legacy of love for freedom & her fellowman despite extreme peril on her life & risks of her sickness!! R-luv

  • @RBCHILD4EV So well said RBCHILD4EV . We really need to do better.

  • Thank You again Star...for bringing attention to this strong and intelligent lady. With all that has occurred this past week within the political area, I'll learned that parents really need to do a better job at passing down messages from the past. Our legacy will guide us through the future. Many youth today have no knowledge of the struggle, take it for granted or see no significance n the past. They r in such a state of confusion.. due 2 the lack of a foundation. Parents can change that!

  • OMG YES! What a lady! I was just brushing up on my history & this woman is remarkable!! There is a link posted in the description area on the right that shows in great detail how legendary this woman was. Anyone who loves freedom should take note of her intense compassion for her fellowman & courage! Cecily Tyson portrays her very well but I'm sure it would be AMAZING to meet Harriet Tubman!!!:-) R-luv
