  • The OT is back in production by Semroc Astronautics, and there is also a very nice upscale version available from Hawks Hobbies...

  • I also had one, by the way the kit is back in production but under another company - unfortunately I don't have the name of the new manufactuer.

But, it is back in production.

  • Yep! It's in production by a little company called "Semroc", and available from Apogee, and some retail hobby stores.

I still have my (built) original-sized clone kit, and an Estes re-issue from about 4 years ago. That one's staying in the bag. :0)

  • They re-issued the kit a couple of years back. I bought one, but now I wish I'd have bought a whole case of them.

In any case, you can build a clone pretty easy from parts, balsa machining sells nose cones, tubes, and even sells a laser-cut fin set for it.

I bought the upscale decals from tango papa decals, they sell the standard sized set, too.

  • Great footage...I miss the old Estes Orbital Transport...had one when I was a kid...too bad they quit producing the kit!
