I would need to see more. Certain viruses suppress tumors, such as HVS-2, but the cancer will come back. And if it only works in 25-30% of mice its not a universal cure. @doobersmanster I've done allot of research on marijuana and there is no real evidence that supports the claim that smoking marijuana causes lung cancer. It's known to cause all types of pulmonary diseases, but not cancer. Cigarettes on the other hand are pure cancer on a stick.

Also I notice that about fifty percent of those that use MJ also smoke cigs (or more). I also have read that NJ is good for those with asthma..so I think there is alot of controversy on this issue.

I had cancer of the skin and found that rubbing on the canabis oil it has now cured it. The doctor was treating it with some kind of liquid and it did nothing and when I told him about cannaabis oil he said it was not in the computer and so it was no good. Well I proved him wrong. I would need to see more. Certain viruses suppress tumors, such as HVS-2, but the cancer will come back. And if it only works in 25-30% of mice its not a universal cure. Everything that works in mice does not automatically work in humans. Lastly, its great step forward and please do not mistake what I am saying but just simply smoking weed will NOT cure cancer.

I am literally speechless. Marijuana does not cure cancer. It has four times the amount of tar than that in cigarettes. Tar causes irreversible lung damage. This is a very poor scientific analysis of the matter; no peer-reviewed literature is cited, no evidence is presented, and the claims are hyperbolic to the extent of believing that God created the universe.

Also I notice that about fifty percent of those that use MJ also smoke cigs (or more). I also have read that NJ is good for those with asthma..so I think there is alot of controversy on this issue.

Don't expect anything to be magical or totally simplistic.
Marijuana has, over many studies, show to have promise in controlling tumors.
The idea is that if there are no tumors there can be no cancer.

@econoroller You are right about 1 thing, he DID die from cancer in his toe. He did not, however "collapse one day playing soccer". He was playing soccer and injured his foot. When it did not heal, he went to a doctor and was told he had melanoma in the toe. Being a devout Rastafarian he decided against having his toe amputated, a decision that condemned him to death. The cancer spread throughout his body and he collapsed and died in Miami while on his way back to Jamaica one last time.

THC kills cancer cells by stimulating the CB receptors on a cancerous cell's surface to induce ceramide that forces the cell to eat itself.

@thatsfornoobs The cannabinoids, like Delta-9-THC and CBD, does directly kill cancer cells by either elevating the ROS generation or inducing ceramide. It's just that smoking cannabis inhibits their anti-neoplastic activity, which is a method of cannabinoid delivery that people resort to. Like you said, there are other methods of cannabinoid delivery, like ingesting oil, that doesn't include accompaniment of carcinogens that the lungs would've been exposed to if one smoked it.

@econoroller My comment was not regarding melanomas, your statement is irrelevant. THC does not cure cancer. It is used by cancer patients because it helps relive the symptoms of cancer and more importantly the curing process.

@dreadincify I highly doubt that cannabis edibles would all be classified as marinol or rimonabont >> I assume that you have watched that "Run from the Cure" documentary, so I think you have already taken cannabis oil into account, right? If you read the Pharmacology and Therapeutics Journal 2007, smoking cannabis is an archaic form of cannabinoid delivery that should be replaced with other methods, like vaporization, to reduce the carbon monoxide content.

@zekdom being carefull to keep the temperature below 420f degrees while vaporizing is an important point to prevent the release of, or conversion into toxic substances. peace.
