take a look at the site: icecap (dot) us ...and then the page: /index.php/go/faqs-and-myths . I'm not saying every there is true but they raise some points that should be researched. . Also look at the video: watch?v=ztvxGbH8Mqw . CO2 will always be produced by some of our processess, but it does need to be reduced, but not in an alarming way. Again the earth can stabilize CO2 by increased plant and algae/ plankton growth. Toxic chemicals kill and last for years/decades until they biodegrade.
@TheRealNews ... In your opinion, is "CO2 induced global warming" a money-grabbing scam with many loop-holes or do you feel it is valid science and undeniable truth?

@madebutante Who is lying. Let me ask you something could you please explain to me this:
Big Corporation = good
Big Government = bad
Have you ever lived in a country where government controls fairly much everything, where you can not do business. I have. I was born in one. So, I have quite a bit of knowledge about the wonders of government. Read F. A. Hayak and Milton Freidman. Show me a modern day model that works better than what you had in United States. Yes, Had. :)
What a hypocrite! You want the products they produce. You use all the latest high tech electronics that contain extremely toxic materials.
This is why American jobs are disappearing. As long as there is a demand for these products the manufacturers will exist, either here or in another third world country. If you truly believed in what you preach, you would live under a tree and eat bugs. but you won't. But you want everyone else to.
@spartaeus it's not that people want the products; there is usually nothing cheaper available since the oil companies re subsidized and it's toxic products are simply cheaper.
For instance Poor people can't always buy local foods even tho it's healthier for you and bolsters the local economy.
When you look right at the problem it boils down to one thing that can never hide itself plain and simple fucking Greed. Corporations and their lust for more keep pushing their products which if most people haven`t yet realized are made cheaper so they break faster and then you need a new one sooner . Lets just take a look at TV`s . We go from big analog to Hd and just as the price drops they shove something new 3-D WTF would I want that for , Nothing on it anyway

There have been 5-6 major "ice ages" and "warming periods" in the Earth's last 400-500 Thousand Years; in a CYCLE every 100 Thousand Years. And the ocean ACIFIFIED then too! Would that be human caused greenhouse gas too?
more money to bankers will solve this CO2 problem.. lets dump the grossly obsolete 120 year old internal combustion contraption instead for its dozens of very old and clean replacements.....parasitism will not hear of it!

Your arguments lack; oxygen can be toxic, CO2 can be toxic, nitrogen can be toxic .... everything in the world can kill us if we are exposed to too much for too long. This point is pointless!
.
IN NATURE ... carbon dioxide, oxygen and water form a foundational cycle of life. In any normal amount, even what YOU call "catastrophic" none of these three substances are toxic in nature.

So if something were to impede the uptake of excess carbon in the atmosphere - would you agree, hypothetically at least - that some effect would occur?
@mikepalomino almost; there are differences in opinion on what is called toxic.
.
I believe in finding clean alternative sources, but the alarmist attitude and taxing of carbon is the mis-direction of corporation heavily invested in this business
.
They chose carbon because they can now charge almost every business a tax.

The true enemy of life are the toxic chemicals mention in this video. These chemical shred building block of carbon based life and DNA.
@mikepalomino there is a ton of new evidence pointing to the fact that the "greenhouse effect" by carbon, methanes, etc. accounts for 0.2 - 0.3 % of the heat retained by earth. The other 99.7 - 99.8 % of the retained heat are due to other factors.

CO2 and the actual heat retained by earth is NOT strongly correlated. You can see this by looking at a temperature graph vs. CO2 graph for the last 110 years of fairly good empirical data; and it doesn't match.

All of this when the enemy are chemicals that kill life; the earth can deal with CO2; 4.5 billion yrs so far.
@mikepalomino NASA GISS data, the South Pole winter (June/July/August) has cooled about 1 degree F since 1957 and the coldest year was 2004.
.
Antarctic Ice Sheet is growing and covers some 5million square miles, twice as big as the U.S. It's almost 100 times bigger than all the rest of the world's glaciers put together.
.
90% of the world's glaciers are growing, but we hear about the ones melting.
.
I was a Greenhouse Effect activist for 10 yrs; but there's new evidence in the last few years.
good video to show why to be concerned less about CO2 and more about these chemicals mentioned in this video:

@mikepalomino NASA GISS data, the South Pole winter (June/July/August) has cooled about 1 degree F since 1957 and the coldest year was 2004.
.
Antarctic Ice Sheet is growing and covers some 5million square miles, twice as big as the U.S. It's almost 100 times bigger than all the rest of the world's glaciers put together.
.
90% of the world's glaciers are growing, but we hear about the ones melting.
.
I was a Greenhouse Effect activist for 10 yrs; but there's new evidence in the last few years.
