i actually disagree. I like Suicide Silence but there is one thing i can agree with. That is that if the most deathcore songs have too much breakdowns it becomes boring and that it needs a lot of speed afterwords, but that's just my opinion.

I am not a scene kid in any way shape or form. the only deathcore band I like is For Today. I'm mostly into stuff like Opeth, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Becoming The Archetype, and Eglyn (unsigned band; you probably have never heard of them). I enjoy a breakdown everynow and then. My favorite is the one in Bastards of the Machine by Symphony X.

So my closing argument is Metal invented the breakdown. The difference is Metal= the whole song is the breakdown -/- Metalcore/deathcore= has only one or two sections of the breakdown.

Great examples are Pantera, Sepultura, Meshuggah and Fear Factory (the last two aforementioned bands were responsible for pioneering the dual chugging riffs/bass drum pattern that later be used by countless metal/deathcore imitators).
First of all lemme try to re-educate you on the history of the breakdown. It was metal that invent the breakdown because metal is a sub genre of rock and roll, which its blues-based sound help provide the groove and rhythm. Hardcore punk back in the days was 1-2 minutes songs. It was basically pure aggression and energy. Somehow both scenes intertwine with each other, thus give birth to all the grindcore, thrash, death and black metal genres.

I mostly listen to progressive/technical(i.e. Dream Theater, Karnivool, Periphery, Veil of Maya, The Controtionist, etc.), but JFAC WAS a really good band. Don't talk shit. i actually disagree. I like Suicide Silence but there is one thing i can agree with. That is that if the most deathcore songs have too much breakdowns it becomes boring and that it needs a lot of speed afterwords, but that's just my opinion.

I'm mostly into stuff like Opeth, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Becoming The Archetype, and Eglyn (unsigned band; you probably have never heard of them). I enjoy a breakdown everynow and then. My favorite is the one in Bastards of the Machine by Symphony X.

First of all lemme try to re-educate you on the history of the breakdown. It was metal that invent the breakdown because metal is a sub genre of rock and roll, which its blues-based sound help provide the groove and rhythm. Hardcore punk back in the days was 1-2 minutes songs. It was basically pure aggression and energy. Somehow both scenes intertwine with each other, thus give birth to all the grindcore, thrash, death and black metal genres.

Breaking down simply means less instruments, simpler rhythms, perhaps a tempo change. NOT necessarily a slower one, either. In terms of the breakdown applied to heavy metal, look at such pioneers as Pantera, among others. Domination?

I'm not familiar with breakdowns in bluegrass, but in metal and punk it's usually a slowing down of the music after fast tempo sections. Deathcore breakdowns, on the other hand, do involve slower tempos, simplified playing from all instruments and the use of typically one note, usually the lowest note for extra br00tal.

Proper uses of breakdowns in metal include Suffocation, who first used breakdowns in metal, and thrash metal bands such as Slayer and Kreator, credited with using "thrash breaks". Now those bands were pioneers.

What i don't get is when u make a hater vid u always use bmth,ss,J4CB, personnaly I'm not a great fan of these bands, yet I'm a deathcore fan, why don't change the songs up aliitle, me, I listen to both death metal,black metal and deathcore, and i don't see where the fuck is the problem!

One last thing! There's far less scenekids listening to deathcore than there is casual people. And the emo's don't even like it. Sure, they attend at concerts, but I've seen them as the nervewreck they really are when a moshpit starts. By the way. The whole "br00tal" shit. I have not ever.
