As for China, they need an EPA in their nation.

Environmental Protection Agency

Hopefully headed by the Chinese youth who are the breathers of the polluted air that inhabits the country.

They are the ones that will be affected the most from the ongoing pollution and they should have the control on this matter.

Realize if an EPA does arises, many corporations will seek other third world nations out, instead of China.

Move the industries to India and lets see how they like producing electronic goods for American consumers while we bitch about their pollution in their country.

Then they will realize the experience the Chinese have endured for the past 40 years.

The solution here is for the rest of the world to stop buying luxury items and just maintain necessities to live.

Our desire for the next big electronic gadgets fuels massive production of these goods in a Chinese factory that churns out pollution as a byproduct.

Again, a majority of the Chinese people still can not afford the computers they manufacture for you.

And yet you reap all the joy while they deal with the pollution.

If the Chinese stop producing these affordable electronic goods, they would cut the pollution in half in one day.

But this would mean massive un-employment in China and Americans would be paying higher prices for electronic goods.

Similar to the early 90s where the average home computer was in the 10,000 dollar range.

Big corporations would have to layoff thousands of people as the trickle down effect would go into motion.

And we all know about corporate greed.

The US makes population is only 12% of the world's population and yet it consumes 45% of the world's resources.

No other nation was ready to carry on this task of providing the world populace a steady and affordable supply of goods for mass consumerism.

From what I see in Shanghai, the Chinese are very waste (environmental) conscious these days!

They definitely aren't into large SUVs and Hummers! And they are smart enough to use diesel rather than gas, (which gives them no less than 50 mpg)

I am extremely confused why Americans fail to use highly economical diesel - Turbo/Super charged diesel can easily pump out 500 horse power

In villages near the Great Wall you can see streams and creeks full of trash, and keep an eye out for trash pickups (YOU WON'T SEE ANY).

Chinese are taking steps to take care of their country and people.

Currently the price for mass production is mass pollution.

In order to solve the pollution problem would lead to an economic problem.

Corporations seeking for more profits might leave in and invest in another nations such as Malaysia and Singapore.

Can Malaysia and Singapore provide the same amount of mass produce as the Chinese?
