Okay creationists, you want your views taught in school, here is what you do. First, conduct some experiments, then write some papers. Then have colleagues review your papers, and then do some more experiments, revise your paper and then submit it for publication in a reputable, secular journal. Keep doing this until you have 10,000-50,000 papers in journals supporting your claims, then you can approach the schools about adding you to the curriculum.

Actually Evolution has been observed and it can be experimented with. Bacteria has developed drug resistance and you can mutate fruit flies by changing t heir environment. These are changes we can test and observe called Micro evolution. Most Creationists don't disagree with this. (If you are one that does disbelieve it then the conversation is over here because you have entered the realm of stupidity.) They say that Macro Evolution is not true and cannot be proven.
But I say what is Macro Evolution but Micro Evolution happening a couple of thousands of times. Check out Dr. Francis S Collins' book "The Language of God" and you will be able to align your faith with God with the truth of science.

What stops micro evolution? For a cell type to stop adding information it would have to have an information analyzer on board to know when it was on the road to going to far. It's not really a mutations (like cancer) that causes evolution. It's variety. All offspring are slightly different than their parents.
The changes over time are extremely slight.
Think of the time span. Lucy lived 3,200,000 years ago. 1,600 times as old as the birth of Christ. In about 1,000 years we can breed a wolf into a chihuahua. Imagine doing that 3,000 times.

Out of billions of scientific theories that have been proposed, only a small percentage ever do stand the tests and become accepted. No one weeps for them, do they.

pup101, that's why scientists get frustrated. Creationists make silly statements like "so, we came from a bacteria/monkey/etc.." and evolution isn't like a meteor falling on us. It didn't happen *only* "millions of years ago" and "can't be proved". It is happening all the time, even at this very moment and never stops. And any scientists can look at those same papers as the "evolutionists" and come to the same conclusions.

Consider the benefits to a lungfish or mudskipper type fish and the lack of predation (being the first into the new territory call land). There's the safety of eggs to consider, the lack of competition for food... next time some bozo yaps about there being no benefit to a fish of jumping onto shore

I just always figured some fish got stuck in receding waters and their lungs had to metabolize weaker and thinner water over time. Something along those lines. Ah well, I don't really care anyway. Good night.

Okay creationists, you want your views taught in school, here is what you do. First, conduct some experiments, then write some papers. Then have colleagues review your papers, and then do some more experiments, revise your paper and then submit it for publication in a reputable, secular journal. Keep doing this until you have 10,000-50,000 papers in journals supporting your claims, then you can approach the schools about adding you to the curriculum.

Seriously, why do creationists think they need to be exempt from the scientific process? Don't for a minute believe anything in this video, Evolution is well documented, and needs no defense. If any scientists could disprove it, they would gladly do so because that would forever cement them in history. Scientists love to challenge theories and come up with new ones. That is their job.

Actually Evolution has been observed and it can be experimented with. Bacteria has developed drug resistance and you can mutate fruit flies by changing t heir environment. These are changes we can test and observe called Micro evolution. Most Creationists don't disagree with this. (If you are one that does disbelieve it then the conversation is over here because you have entered the realm of stupidity.) They say that Macro Evolution is not true and cannot be proven.

Actually I've been talking about both types of evolution here. Please clarify your comment, it was confusing. Are you talking about the drug resistant bacteria or the fruit flies? Or would you like an example of how monkey evolved into man? I can give you one if you like. Seriously though, check out Dr. Collins book. He's one of the world's foremost biologist and a man of incredible faith. The book is well written and is arguments are well made.

What stops micro evolution? For a cell type to stop adding information it would have to have an information analyzer on board to know when it was on the road to going to far. There is no such thing in any cell ever seen. You just WANT it to stop because that feeds your need for evolution to be ridiculed. Find that mechanism and you'll have the last laugh.
