  • I love it when Spike corpses or tries not to, makes him even funnier

  • "By the year 2000, England could run out of Arabs." !!!

    What happened to that prediction?

They can take the Pakis with them.

  • "And now, the late news. To be precise, an hour late." LOL

  • "Good news for Bing Crosby fans...Tom Jones has broken his neck". Priceless.

  • Can I just say the I have it on the finest authority that the tie was deliberate!

  • I always thought it was charming that they kept Spike corpsing, shows it was obviously first-take stuff, and the audience is actually really reacting to him rather than being forced to laugh after 39 takes.

  • I have a cassette recording from the ABC (Australia) in 1982 when Spike was in the newsroom studio and kept interrupting the news reader with: 'What about Spike Milligan?' When the reader read out: 'The Prime Minister was met at the airport by (...) and members of the cabinet including the treasurer ' he couldn't resist adding: 'and Spike Milligan.' When starting on the next item, the reader broke down laughing. I suppose it's covered by copyright so I can't play it. Pity because it's funny.

  • @Britcomsarebest Search "Spike Milligan interrupts ABC News" there you go

  • I'm glad to see all Spike Milligan-videos I used to watch still exist....(after seeing so many others disappearing). Hmmmm. Perhaps the BBC doesn't have copyrights.....hmm perhaps it doesn't care (they didn't release Q on DVD, so maybe they just don't want to be held responsible for Mr Milligan). Let's hope they won't change their minds and we'll keep getting the kind PERMISSION to watch stuff we can't buy or watch on TV.

  • Which of his shows was this from?

  • Goon but not forgotten R I P

  • Satire, wordplay, surrealism and silliness all in the space of a minute :-)

    Classic Spike indeed.

  • Why do news channels always turn off the lights at the end of the programme? Its as if there trying to remind you to go to bed. lol

  • he's only just about keeping a straight face

    lmao

  • I agree!

Could tou imagine Spike in that very famous lift clip!

Spike and Sellars are both pure genius.

  • There's no knob on my side?!? I imagin Spike cracking up St Peter Sellers at the pearly gates.

  • Funny till the end on his grave he put

"I told you I was ill" funny till the end

  • Brilliant.

  • we all miss you spike.

  • Genius, genius, genius.

  • if you google 'q6 milligan', you will find the Qseries tribute site with lots of scripts and pics and vids from Spike Milligan's finest TV hour. And a DVD petition to sign!

  • the day today ish! excellent
