  • Absolutely wonderful. Beethoven´s piano conserts are truely amazing. no. 2 and 5 along with this ,no 4. ,are all masterpieces.

  • an absolutely masterful interpretation...wonderful

  • so you write a piano concerto !

  • Wprowadzisz me cry.

  • Too slow...

Why? Well just listen to 3:19. Does that sound like emotional breakdown? Sounds more like a light little boat leisurely rowing its way across the water. Besides, Ludwig himself wrote it in the score: Andante. He even wrote 'con moto' in case the players were dim-witted, but that still wasn't enough to be picked up by these two.

  • @laurienesbitt what a pedant and ignorant comment.

  • WHY IS THERE A DISLIKE.

  • From dispair to triumph/ good over evil. Beethoven is a genius. Both heaven and earth are represented in this movement with such feeling.

  • I'm gonna hear this concerto live this thursday :)

  • My kingdom is in the sky, said Beethoven. His music takes us there

  • god i love this conductor! hes so fired up!

  • @Mayjayy Bernstein... Gotta love him.

  • There's no words....

this music is indeed magical, congrats to Zimerman for this incredible performance

  • @wnxg4nd4lf well put

  • a pure merveille!!!!!!!

  • This whole 2nd movement is a miracle. The final notes from 5:05 to 5:50 are so profound... so powerful... They seem to carry the weight of the whole universe. Even if i manage to hold my tears at 2:56 i just cant resist at the end.

And after a movement of such magnitude and depth, after the darkness that clouded are souls, only Beethoven could lead as again back to the light with this marvel that 3rd movement is.

Heaven cant be much better than this.

  • @wnxg4nd4lf Agreed! Beginning at 4:11 really, the diaphanous, ethereal quality of this music takes it to the heights. Hail Beethoven!

  • @wnxg4nd4lf TOTALLY agree!

  • This piece of music summons the awareness that we are at the total mercy of a greater power.

  • @peterdewitt : I would respectfully disagree. At least for me, this piece invokes great pride in the beauty of humanity :)

  • I want his skills, and obviously his hair too.

  • but my God can he play

  • @MrAsungot never trust the appearances of someone.

  • @MrAsungot What a stupid and nasty comment.

  • Beautiful Rendition, I've always admired Zimerman's work.

  • YES!!! I´ve been looking for Zimerman playing this movement for ages.. Thank you so much for uploading this superb moment in musical history by none other than Zimerman.
