  • Tsuchiya is so good he kept ahead of the NSX in his CTR!

  • Btw that was when new type r just came out so they had to advertise it properly. Nsx ownz all.

  • i was hopin 4the civic but the nsx got him on the last couple laps :(

  • Type R is very fast!!

  • The S2K had a bad driver. JS...

  • Can someone explain to me how a 4doors FF sedan can keep up with a mid-engined two seater sportscar ??

  • @Parsifaal fd2 civic is pure racer + it is 10years younger then nsx-s

  • Less power = More grip as Tsuchiya proves... and that he can whoopass in any car no matter what the power. Although I wish he was driving the integra R since I own one :P

  • what happen to Z??

  • Damn the Integra came in last

  • I loove the Integra. I have a turbo RSX-S

  • NSX all the way baby!

  • Yeah right the civic type r is contending with a nsx type s, and the 2.2l s2k would have been faster.

  • omg civic type r is such a pos. all honda fan boys here. nsx and z are the only considerable "sports cars". Keiichi is just such a good ass driver. $30k for a civic, get the F*ck out of here!

  • @girlmagnet3 yea its such a pos it broke the records of some rwd 4wd with much more hp.

  • god i am so glad i own a civic type r they are by far best car for the money and best hot hatch ever made honda's rule

  • Civic type r so fast. That's true...

  • lmao you can tell tsuchiya is having mad fun

  • Can someone please explain to me how the NSX can be so slow or the Civic so fast ? I know Akira is waiting on purpose to save his tyres but even after overtaking Tsuchiya he's not that fast...

  • @Parsifaal you can clearly see Akira was not pushing the NSX hard. He had oportunity to pass the civic from the first lap but he didn't. Maybe he knew he didn't have to push really hard to win and also as you say, he was saving his tires.

  • Omg it looks like the same person drove every car :O

  • The new civic type R fd2 is a lot faster then the Dc5 integra type R and is faster the the s2000 that's way the civic was infront of the fairlady z.I did see that the z's time was faster the the civics thought.

  • @eg2171 but its not faster than the NSX typE -R ... so dis looks more like they are just having fun and not being serious in this battle !!

  • @eg2171 i take that back.. i meant the nsx .. not nsx type R

  • @eg2171 I found it weird also that the guy in the Integra was not accelerating hard. he was shifting at 7500rpm which is well short of the 8400 redline.

  • civic type r quite amazing

can par on nsx for so long taking the lead

high performance at a stock car

    nsx high performance car ~

  • tsuchiya is cornering with the greatest RPM in there...

  • Z is fallin behind.. the truth is the Weight ratio~

  • @Gred922 It still wouldn't over take them because the Z's brakes were already weak and they will continue to weaken. Not to mention the cars weight also would have put more pressure on the tires thus it would only get slower. Magnificent car though.

  • sounds like hes wackin off in the civic

  • Honestly, i knew NSX would win way before watching the Video

  • @deehaw2 the first place was taken by the beginning!they were fighting for the rest places that were left lol.

  • What in the hell is wrong with that ITR driver? He is shifting around 7000-7500rpm when the engine redlines at 8400 and is DESIGNED to be redlined, particularly in the first 4 gears. You gain nothing by shifting early in an ITR. If he were driving a torque monster or turbocharged car that loses power at high rpm, I'd see the point, but he is shifting so early that he's falling out of the power band after each shift.

What the fuck is he doing?! I expect more from BM drivers!

  • I don't know anything about that car he is driving, but in my 2000 civic si, max hp was at 7800 not 8200 (it's redline was 8200) so shifting earlier, the engine had to slow down less than at r/l saving time. Maybe it was something like this? I dunno though.

  • Yeah, I know what you mean. I never shifted my SRT-4 at the redline after 2nd gear (I'd shift about 200rpm to 300rpm before the redline because boost pressure, and thus power, drops off quickly as you get up there), but he was shifting WAY too early for a B18C in my opinion. Shifting over 1000rpm before the redline with that engine is just plain odd. The B18C engines love to wind up and not taking it to the redline in lower gears will cause you to fall out of vtec. Who knows why he did it.

  • maybe they told him "if you break it you buy it" hahaha

  • Haha, I've seen them tear up some awesome cars on this show too! The owner may have been like, "Don't be fuckin up my ride like that other guy's, son!"

  • @mindsmirror thats a k20 in the type r and it redlines at 9 grand..he was being a pussy with it tho

  • @vabeachbully yeah you're right, I have no clue why I was thinking DC2. It was a brain lapse.

  • The NSX won before the race even started LOL well in my opinion. MR cornering machine in a circuit dedicated to cornering. Auto win for NSX. And if it was the Nismo Z package, NSX should get the NSX TYPE R package. Since thats the track dedicated package xD

  • 4:34 brute horsepower at work lol. not bad for an affordable sportscar. 2nd best time too. the only reason Z behind the civic is because tsuchiya drives it.

  • @TamanLinkin

The civic type-r is MURDEROUSLY fast around a track.

  • @w00t692 i have to agree. honda certainly make the best n/a 4 pot engines in the world, period!!!

  • @TamanLinkin

yep! the BATTLE RESULT scores/times at the end at 8:31 shows you that it was the NSX in first, Z in second, CTR in third, s2k in fourth and the ITR in fifth time wise.

  • @TamanLinkin The only Reason why the Z is behind the Civic is because the Civic is much more Sophisticated....

  • s2000 780,000 yen...?XD

  • The dude in the S2000 made a lot of costly mistakes!

  • the nsx and then the civic was 1,2. the z had the second fastest lap time, but when crossing the line the nsx then the civic was 1,2

  • I think they should have actually tested the Nismo Z, since that's the dedicated track package. I'd love to see a matchup just between the NSX and the Z.

  • incompatible

  • @ambientflier ummm... you just did. 350z's advantage is that its NEW! prodution of nsx stopped in 05 and nissan and all others had to start turbo charging to keep up. lol

  • nice battle! honda gets a 1,2 win! yeah the s2000 didnt stand a chance once the 350z caught up. idk why the integra was in there... lol

  • Actually the Hondas finished in 1st and 3rd. 2nd was the Z. But yeah, I'm impressed with that civic.

  • Z got 3rd check again. Civic got 2nd

  • I meant the Z had the 2nd best time. Their finishing order is irrelevant.

  • Wow, I'm impressed at how well the civic type-r handles. Crazy.

Of course, out of all the cars I'd rather have the Z. It tore by the S2000 at 4:34 like it was standing still, and had the 2nd fastest lap time, right behind the NSX. Not bad for an affordable Nissan.
