  • I saw Gerry with Chuck twice in a small jazz club in Syracuse. I remember Gerry walking around the stage and playing everything.

  • I know I am getting nmore mature when I can say I recall seeing Jerry, Chuck and I believe Muff Potter at the Embassy Tavern on Young Street in Toronto in some forgotten time. The time is forgotten, but never the sweet sounds. Love to drive to this and Hill where the Lord hides.

  • Gerry Niewood - soprano sax

  • Some very nice soloing on flugelhorn and soprano! Really like the bass lines on this too.

  • Hey Satchmo. Yeah the bass line is great isn't it. Talk about blisters. This is a very fast tempo. I'd be falling all over myself.

RIP Gerry. Thanks for the memories and enjoyment. You are already missed.
