Abolish the fed & let the citizens of this country decide what kind of financial system they want.
Why is it that, if the Oil is selling for 90 bucks a barrel. Why are we still paying nearly $4.00 at the pump per gallon ? In reality we should be paying $2.30 a gallon. Tell me that something fishy isn't going on.

Is Peter Schiff related to Jacob Schiff who was the Jewish American who financed the assassination of the Russian King in 1917, and who paid to destroy Russia, and bring them communism?
The real problem is the federal reserve system. Google "Money as debt". What do you expect with a system based on thin air and debt? The Gold standard won't work either. We need to base our money on our infrastructure and assets, then it will have real value. And stop rentingour own money from a private company of international bankers.
Hate to go against you but assets and infrastructure DEPRECIATE over time. If these assets depreciate then it is also logical to assume that your money will also depreciate over the years. Money has to be based on something intangible that gives it real value, we could either create our money based on the amount of goods and services produced in the economy or simply base it back on the silver standard for the obvious reason that it is abundant and hard to corner..
8:10 Beck just admited the Federal Reserve is a PRIVATE OWNED bank NOT GOVERNMENT. Wake up people. Realize this private bank has been given permission to counterfit our cash at their own discretion WITH NO ELECTIONS OR OVERSIGHT. Only when we abolish it AGAIN (1st was abolished by Stonewall Jackson, 2nd by Lincoln) can we restore our Constitution.
Even Ron Paul has asked his supporters not to write his name in. That would truly be a wasted vote. He has suggested, as evidenced by his recent press conference, to vote for the 3rd party of your choice that is actually listed on the ballot or any AUTHORIZED* write-in candidate (which obviously would be considered 3rd party).
In some states there are specific steps one must go through before a "write-in candidate" can even actually be counted. Because you write "Joe Blow" doesn't mean anything
The Fed reserve is NOT Federal! The national debt is from banks printing OUR money! We (u.s. gov) don't even print our own money! That's why we are in debt! We're not borrowing from other countries to the tune of all this money! We owe it to the BANKS!
I wish more people would talk about the privately owned Federal Reserve. I think Glenn Beck is a complete tool, but at least he finally talked about something real. That lessens my cynicism somewhat.

So how do we unhinge ourselves from all of this? What will it take to impeach the entire corrupt government from office? What needs to happen to untangle our nation's wealth from the clutches of criminal corporations and Wall Street's web of deception and theft?
This so-called bailout only hurts the average citizen and allows the criminals to continue perceiving the majority as their personal debt slaves.
After criminally bankrupting the world's economy theyre rewarded with a shiny bright bailout package- complete with a big red, white and blue bow on top.
They'll maintain their personal wealth-mansions (how many houses does McCain have?), fancy cars, over priced clothes, yachts, exotic vacations, profit shares, bonuses, etc . . . & enjoy a renewed license to rape & pillage the world's people & resources. All on our tab.
The rest of us will be pawing our stuff to get a little gas & bread.

It is time to wake up! Rise up! And these bankers didn't stop at the U.S. ! To receive an aid from the I.M.F. or the World Bank, the condition is that you privatize your national bank. The WTO is to synchronize all monetary systems based on the corrupt U.S. system. Wake up slaves! Read and spread the news!!!!
8:00-9:40 - is a huuuuge breakthrough here for america. media talking heads are, probably unkowingly, hinting to the greatest cover up in U.S history-the federal reserve banking cartel. just look at how much influence an UNELECTED people have on the economy. its so obvious when you have educated yourself on the matter( search"money masters","money as debt")
Look up freedom to fascisim on here. That will wake you up! Zeitgeist as well. But thats more about religion. Yes its true.. there is no written law where americans have to pay an income tax. ITs all BS.
I know it sounds crazy, but Washington spoke of the powerful bankers robbing us of our freedom. He spoke true. Read and research and you would have to be dense not to see what this monetary system is causing worldwide.
This is one of those time Ron Paul and Peter Schiff could yell, "I told you so!"... Damn I wish people listened. The Feds will be abolished soon! over 63 million Americans DO NOT file income taxes anymore! The Truth is OUT! Even former gun carrying irs agents learned the truth and stopped filing too! Do the research! WAKE UP!
I hope you are right, NoSkeptic, but history seems to prove otherwise. Did you ever hear of The Bank Of The United States? Same setup as our present day Federal Reserve. I believe it was abolished through efforts of Andrew Jackson. His life was threatened and security was always tight on him during his life. Guess what? Fast forward to 1913. A few people in congress duped the President, I believe Wilson, into signing the Fed into law.
He said, loosely, "I may have destroyed our economy".
Wow, and to think people considered Peter Schiff a doomsday nut 9 months ago. Thank goodness Glenn Beck is helping to spread the real laws of economics.
I heard Lindsey Williams speak on the radio. Everything he said is true about the Elites plans. Oil is going to drop to $50. Food and natural gas are going way up. We are going into a DEPRESSION which will be worse than what my mother & father went thru. Start preparing with food and water.
Not as much of an argument with Peter these days. Guess people are finally starting to get it.
A quote I heard that summed it up was.
"Those who refuse to go through a small recession will suffer a large one."
The US fed is still trying to change the course of the tidal wave instead of getting it over with. A rate cut will come before a raise. The pushing down of oil guarantees it.
funny that no one is talking about the the people that are benefiting most form this bailout it is not the people of the USA it is Japan and China they hold the majority of the stocks in these companys
As for the Fractional Reserve Banking System, all banks, every single branch, creates money out of thin air. Banks in America have a Required Reserve Ratio (RRR) of 10%. That means if the bank initially deposits $100 to the Fed it could loan out $90 to someone. If they wrote a check to another person who deposited the check back to the bank the bank could loan out $81 of that money and so on. The money lent out and paid back to the bank (without interest) cancel out but banks do use interest.
That is what I thought but learnt recently it is incorrect. For some time that have had a 15:1 ratio and for some loans (investments - ha!) a staggering 30:1 ratio. It's insanity in a bucket
We have a fiat currency in America that has been made so retarded by the Federal Reserve and our Fractional Reserve Banking System. Basically if politicians are too afraid to raise taxes they simply ask the Federal Reserve for a check. The mint prints the money which is then given to the Federal Reserve which then LOANS the money to the government. Therefore every dollar created after 1913 has some small amount of debt associated to it. To help pay off the debt the government borrows more. WTF?!
If you do not have free markets which dictate the prices of ALL goods and services; you do not have a capitalistic system to begin with. The US capitalistic system is kaput. When was the last time the US economy was based on a total free market system? Answer; 1776 Declaration of Independence until the creation of the Federal Reserve.
As usual Glenn Beck talks more than his guests who know what they are talking about. GB just yaps, restates the headlines with concern and takes away from PS and the others.
Peter rules, you see its OVER, we are not quite 40 percent of the way through this crisis. We have till 2012 and there may be nothing left after its over.
Check this out. Remember its still late 2008 and look at how much more of this debt we have to go through.
At least these guys agree not to bail companies out. The best regulation is the market. You can bet your ass this wont happen again after all these trillions of dollars are loss.
I know a lot of people think the word "capitalism", like "liberty", is holy but like most things it needs moderation via regulation. Corporations can't be allowed to participate in politics, form cartels(like the Federal Reserve), etc. That is capitalism run amok.
Socialism is, of course, dead wrong and needs to be avoided as much as possible.
The Federal Reserve is not socialism because it is a privately owned cartel, not an organ of government.
No, capitalism doesn't need "moderation"... it needs to be understood so that it may be both properly implemented and protected. Also, the Fed is not quite a private cartel. Like all true cartels, it cannot exist without government sanction through force of law.
This just shows the extent to which the US has fallen to corporatism. The Fed Reserve is a privately owned bank to which the US signed over part of it's sovereignty over economic matters. What kind of a legitimate country would do that?
It's no country at all. In fact the US is a corporation. In fact, if you look up the definition of person, you will find that you are a corporate entity by birth. We are collateral for the national debt. Those who are assets to their corrupt agenda are exploited, those who are liabilities are expendable.
The Federal Reserve is better described as central economic planning. It comes from the idea that the government can plan the economy better than the economy can plan the economy. As for capitalism we had all the moderation we needed with the original Constitution which prescribed sound money and protection of individual liberty. If those were our goals we wouldn't need much more.
"comes from the idea that the government can plan the economy better than the economy can plan the economy"
I think this is wrong. It came from the idea that bankers could make more money if they stopped competing against each other, that's why they formed a cartel.
Unfortunately, the constitution couldn't anticipate the cultural changes caused by things like TV and internet(the amount of information pouring into our eyes and ears every day). I don't think the constitution prohibits foreign..
Make no mistake, while bankers and the federal gov't certainly benefit from the Fed, it could never have passed without a widespread belief that such an arrangement would be beneficial. The great consolidation of power in the federal gov't over the decades has resulted from a ideological shift in the people of the U.S. We've become complacent. The dominant political philosophy today is a shade of fascism (read: a general exaltation of centralized government)...
... This also explains how the Constitution is more progressively ignored with each passing decade. It doesn't matter how a Constitution is written if the dominant political philosophy of the day is so antithetical to its doctrine that a systemic violation of its precepts cannot be avoided. The Constitution does not need to "be changed so it can't be ignored" as you wrote in a later comment. Rather, the American people need to return to their fear and distrust of big government.
"the American people need to return to their fear and distrust of big government"
I cannot agree with this more. Throughout history people have been will to lie, steal, and kill(even their own families) for wealth and power. Not all people are like this but enough. We should all assume that people are trying to steal our wealth and freedoms and enslave us, and we should be on guard against such.
ownership of that media. Nor does it do anything to prevent media conglomeration. Nor does it do anything, seemingly, to prevent foreign or corporate lobbying of those who are supposed to "represent" the voters.
If these issues aren't dealt with then the constitution can't even secure a legitimate democratic system-conglomerated or foreign owned media prevents legit national debate, foreigners lobbying congress "is treason". "constitution" is another "holy" word but it needs to have been...
I know the whole story on the Fed, whenever I have children I will be reading a kid's version of their tale:) People need to start talking to family and friends because most people have no idea whats really happening.

It only took a recession to knock some common sense into him. Glad he's aboard, though. :)

It's a banking cartel. That's capitalism run amok, corporatism.
Epic878787 3 years ago
This is socialism, we have NEVER lived in a capitalistic society since at least 1913.
Rustyshackleford08 3 years ago 8
I know a lot of people think the word "capitalism", like "liberty", is holy but like most things it needs moderation via regulation. Corporations can't be allowed to participate in politics, form cartels(like the Federal Reserve), etc. That is capitalism run amok.
Socialism is, of course, dead wrong and needs to be avoided as much as possible.
The Federal Reserve is not socialism because it is a privately owned cartel, not an organ of government.
Epic878787 3 years ago
No, capitalism doesn't need "moderation"... it needs to be understood so that it may be both properly implemented and protected. Also, the Fed is not quite a private cartel. Like all true cartels, it cannot exist without government sanction through force of law.

This just shows the extent to which the US has fallen to corporatism. The Fed Reserve is a privately owned bank to which the US signed over part of it's sovereignty over economic matters. What kind of a legitimate country would do that?
Epic878787 3 years ago
It's no country at all. In fact the US is a corporation. In fact, if you look up the definition of person, you will find that you are a corporate entity by birth. We are collateral for the national debt. Those who are assets to their corrupt agenda are exploited, those who are liabilities are expendable.

Oh, I knew that, I am glad you are spreading the word:)

Epic878787 3 years ago
Make no mistake, while bankers and the federal gov't certainly benefit from the Fed, it could never have passed without a widespread belief that such an arrangement would be beneficial. The great consolidation of power in the federal gov't over the decades has resulted from a ideological shift in the people of the U.S. We've become complacent. The dominant political philosophy today is a shade of fascism (read: a general exaltation of centralized government)...
mariasman100 3 years ago 3

Epic878787 3 years ago
changed over the years.
If the constitution has been largely ignored then it needs to be changed so it can't be ignored.

I know the whole story on the Fed, whenever I have children I will be reading a kid's version of their tale:) People need to start talking to family and friends because most people have no idea whats really happening.
