That is his best line. You cannot buy elections by telling people to cut back and expect less and then be able to cut the massive debt spending in the US, both public and private.

@pismo10 100% correct. Politics in US is a money making enterprise and their concern is making money not telling the US people the truth, ie that the country needs the worlds biggest Austerity measures in order for the country to survive.
