This shows an example of the programming in Sonic 3. Tails is simply a resurrected Sonic. (Tails doesn't actually die, he just gets teleported back to Sonic's side before his death is counted as a loss.) Hence, when Sonic is hit (which would normally make him die) and then the Debug Cheat is used to move Sonic back to a safe position, he becomes a Tails.

TAILS IS IMMORTAL.

I only know a little bit about programming...but people think I know a lot because of what I do with it.

In addition to the double tails thing, I used codes to make Tails follow Knuckles, and got double Tails...in the LRZ 2 Boss! (you know, the one with the crumbling platforms that takes about two minutes.)

@wookums2015 You're right, You have to do the level select cheat on Angel Island Zone act 1, and then do it again on Mushroom Hill Zone, Then choose another level and hold A+B+C until the level begins. Then you'll have debug.

Debug mode doesn't count as glitches, as far as the Sonic community is concerned.

Technically it would, because Debug was purposely left in the game by Sonic Team, and though they did not intend for such instances to occur, they did nothing to prevent them.

Are you kidding me?! Sega knew that their codes were left there by the Sonic Team in fact they made profit out of it. I remember making calls to Official Sega Operators on the phone when I was a little kid to get Codes for Sega Games mainly all of the Sonic games. It wasn't a free phone call ether, hehe and I didn't know that back then.

You can get the two Eggmans with only going in Knuckles path as Sonic. You don't have to do anything before that (besides the debug that is.)
