Ah, 45 Grave...what a pedigree (a lineup that featured former members of the Germs, Bags, Gun Club, Dream Syndicate, Vox Pop, Consumers, Screamers, Castration Squad, etc!).
I guess that since popularity with the mindless masses and huge records sales means everything, then Bon Jovi must be the greatest band that has ever existed?
to say that they are 'just sad' shows ur ignorance and that u know nothing about them. they are all incredibly talented musicians and are devoted to making and playing music, and they mean a lot to millions of people round the world, which apparently is a negative thing......
and now i wait for the 'thumbs down' marks, even tho all i did was stick up for a band i like...
hahahaahahahahaha... watching comments like this underneath a punk song like this remind me of the weird world we live in.. btw the lady's got soul man!! jeez or she sold it at some crossroad or something :P
45 Grave were so awesome. Pretty good testament to their talent that there's so many videos on Youtube when they only released one album, the excellent 'Sleep in Safety'.
watching the chilli peppers do a cover of a 45 grave song, in front of a massive younger (congenial) audience, and them loving it, is surreal. that's like an aging l.a. punk rockers queue that he's getting long in the tooth.
wow. intense as it was long long ago! that RHCP version i just watched was not bad, but it sure wasn't good. more carnivalesque, ho-hum antics that seem to titillate alot of pinheads. the RHCP were a fine band, but they sure went out NOT in style. californication? ugh. oy boy! glad that 45 GRAVE didn't cover THAT lol
