@tomizdabest1 Yes, but that doesn't come up until a whole lot later. Besides, he has to fuse three ancient gear golems, so it's really hard to bring out. On the other hand, characters in the entire yu-gi-oh series have a really strange knack of getting the exact cards they need to bring out something super powerful over and over again. LOL

1. Crowler declares attack on Winged Kuriboh with Ancient Gear Golem.

2. Since Winged Kuriboh's defense points were less than Ancient Gear Golem's attack points, Winged Kuriboh is destroyed and sent to the graveyard.

3. THEN Ancient Gear Golem's effect activates, which deals direct damage.

4. Winged Kuriboh's effect, which protects Judai from any more damage this turn, activates and negates Ancient Gear Golem's effect, so Judai does NOT take ANY DAMAGE!!!

@Shadower66666666 - The characters in this series tend to rely on fusion a lot more. Especially the main character who uses fusion monsters to basically win all of his duels. The main problem is the fact that elemental heroes are rather weak cards individually. Most of the elemental heroes just aren't that powerful and the neo spacieans (sp?) aren't any better for the most part.

@Shadower66666666 All the yu-gi-oh main characters (as in Yugi, Judai, and Yusei) generally believe that even though the monsters by themselves are weak, by combining their effects and card types with other card effects, the entire deck is strong. Also, Yugi got his deck from his grandpa, Judai looks up to Yugi, and Yusei lived in a rough part of town so he had to scrounge whatever he could find.

Damn, what a way to kick off a series sequel! I haven't watched GX, just the first few duels(up until Pegasus teams up with Jaden in a duel i think) and the final "Graduation Duel" between Adult Jaden and Yugi from in the past. Jaden was a fun character to follow from what I've seen.
