@TomoexNanami No. Nook actually runs android, that's how this was discovered. People just put on Froyo (Android 2.2), and it worked. It's not as fast as say, the ASUS or the DELL, but it is cheaper, and runs 4x longer than the Dell.

FYI, CyanogenMod 7 (Android Gingerbread) is probably still your best bet for a daily-use OS on the Nook Color. There is a Honeycomb 3.1 port now that's nearly as functional as the 3.0 build, but CM7 is actually based on Gingerbread source code, whereas Google WILL NOT release HC's code, so everything on HC is hacked and reverse-engineered, like a translation of a translation of a translation.

@GofreMcNoodle If you flash it, it'll wipe the nook OS, if you don't, it'll run from the SD card (So if you took out the SD it would boot into nook OS

I have 2.2 on my Nook, All I can say is 2.2, Gingerbread and Honeycomb are unstable on Nook Color, yes you can install it but most of the Apps will force close, I will wait for a stable version maybe in few months...those Nook sd card on Ebay is a robbery, don't buy that shit....

@ZER0EVO No, that only works because honeycomb is installed on the microsd card. Removing means that it won't run, so the nook loads the normal os.

Has anyone figured out to install the market app using a Mac.

Have HC v.4 running on my Nook. I know it has been asked, but I cannot find clear instructions on loading up the Market app for Mac. The instructions on Post #1 are for PC. You cannot run those commands via Terminal on Mac, or at least I cannot get them to run. Using the latest Android SDK, which includes a /platform-tools directory. Just point the way to clear instructions - I can figure the rest out myself.

It's seeing videos like this where Android has lag and lowering frame rates that makes me completely prefer iOS. I know the video was showing an unofficial build, but even the official builds have more lag and frame drop than iOS and Safari has always had a smoother flow to the web browsing. Android is cool, but it needs to be better regulated so that only versions as smooth as iOS get shown to the public.
