  • what a guy

  • One of the most clutch shooters of all time..

  • The "Tebow" of the NBA.

Forget it haters. Bird was the best.

  • this video is awesomeness

  • one of the greatest player ever i one of my favourites after Magic and Mike

  • is the best player i saw!!!

  • If larry bird had 6 more ounces of ahtleticism than he had I have no doubt he unquestionably be the best player of all time....his stat line would read 32.0ppg 13rpg and 9apg....thats the truth. Hes already one of the best ever without being overly athletic...imagine if he had lebron james' body???? SCARY!!

  • @usnate1 actually i saw on NBA when the compared drik to larry it said 33.4 but it no difference i just wanted to point that out.

  • @BulletEndAlbo right...Bird's 84th all time defensive rating to Dirk's 154th....unquestionably the greatest passer who wasn't a PG, Bird still beats Dirk in rebounds as well, and you want to say Dirk is equal to Bird? Hmmm???not seeing brother sorry...

  • @usnate1 yeah at least we can agree on something. larry bird owns dirk nowitzki. the defensive rating does not make you a better defender though. nowitzki wasnt more efficient than bird on offense and bird beats him in rebounding from the small forward spot, thats pathetic for nowitzki. also bird was a much better passer

  • @netcap001 I hear you, but type in "Larry Bird Defense" on youtube the video is by merkin muffly....and then tell me what you think...Dirk doesn't move, anticipate or think like Larry Bird...no way. People just forget how good he really was. Bird is a top 5 w/o question and Dirk is a top 30 in my book. Larry was a superior defender than magic...1 on1 D he was ok, not bad(thats an exaggeration) but team defense prob the best ever. Never seen someone anticipate the way Bird did. Never.

  • @usnate1 i have no problem with you saying larry was a better defender than nowitzki. all im saying is,the defensive rating does not make you a better defender. few people would consider larry bird a better overall defender than jordan or pippen, despite the fact that bird has a lower defensive rating. and yes, magic did not give the same kind of effort on defense. bird tried to contest dunks although he had no chance of blocking them, magic did not even try.

  • @netcap001 No but it is a PART of overall defensive impact...one of the things that the Defensive Rating does is it takes the Defensive Rebounds into account...thats why rebounds are so pivotal in terms of wins...8 out of 10 games; the team that outrebounds wins...b/c it limits 2nd chances for the other team...points allowed per 100 possessions. Bird was underrated, Nowitzki overrated. In terms of the caliber of player each was/is. We are mostly in agreement anyway...Dirk is a fav of mine tho

  • @usnate1 yep,you make sense, but you can come to ridiculous conclusions with the defensive rating stat, for example, david robinson in '00 and '01 had a lower defensive rating than hakeem ever did(the lower the better),yet i dont think anyone would say that robinson made a bigger impact on defense than hakeem.

yes, nowitzki is no doubt a great player. has a great shooting touch for his height. i love and respect his game, but if you compare him to an all-time great, that means ur overrating him.

  • @usnate1 cont..that being said,i dont think bird is underrated. i think he is the best SF,ever and much better than james. there are plenty of people saying bird is the best ever. its not a bad opinion, but there is too much bashing of the other greats among fanboys.

  • which pixel was Bird again?

  • @00DroppinDimes00 What do u expect? Blue ray in the 1980's - 90's?

  • @00DroppinDimes00 the white pixel

  • lebron traveled

  • Bird is the word

  • what really matters is hes better than anyone who has or ever will comment on this video. not to be a negative asshole or anything

  • plaay a white song for a white man

  • Kobe raped her

  • At 1:11 one of the greatest passes ever

  • the two aspects of his game were very esasy to describe: 1) ball goes up. 2) ball goes in.

  • Larry Bird could wipe the floor with best players they got in NBA today

  • @josephmarks1 lol ur ridiculous

  • No U

  • @BurnRoddy lebron would eat him for breakfeast ;)

  • No. With all due respectn for James and you sir Larry Bird was beyond the level of Magic Johnson stated by Johnson himself.

And you can find videos about Michael Jordan moping the floor with Lebron James and he always said that he was always trying to be better to improve himself to match Larry because he would always come out with something new and unpredictable.

Now if the best basket ball player who ever lived said that; Lebron James stands no chance agianst ''The Bird''.

  • @BurnRoddy lol look what lebron is doing today... he is the best all around player in whole history of nba..so what pippen who was best teammate of jordan said that lebron is the best player

  • Well Pipen was nowhere near the shoes of Jordan. While Michael, Wilkins, Bird and Magic where always compeating against eachother though Michael was from another world. He would still find it hard to beat them.

  • @BurnRoddy well maybe, but u have to admit that lebron is player that never exist before in the nba...he can do it all..play all positions(only 5 maybe not)

  • @rapbasketball4ever Larry embarrassed dozens of better players than Lebron.

  • @pretorious700 lol just look at career stats..lebron is better in everything except rebounds

  • @rapbasketball4ever LEBRON CAN'T DO SHIT AGAINST BIRD....ASSSHOLE...HE CANT EVEN WIN A RING,YOU MOTHERFUCKIN IDIOT.....

  • @betwinner retard wait till he ends his career, look at statitics lebron s better than larry bird

  • @rapbasketball4ever: I don't know. In his prime, Larry averaged 28 ppg with 10 reb. and 7 ass. while leading the NBA in FT% and top five in 3 pointers. Lebron's stats aren't significantly better than that.

Lebron's a great player, though. I wish people would stop saying he's not just because they don't like him (they do it to Kobe, too). He's not Larry Bird, though.

  • larrybird is one of the best ever!

  • He's great, but let's not argue and put our own petty opinions to the front. Let's agree, One of the best !!

  • I hate that most of the footage of Larry playing is such poor quality.

  • Larry is the best of all time so those 27 ppl could blow mi

  • simply the best ever. Sure, Jordan was flamboyant, but Bird's basketball IQ was bar none.

  • @beatcavs09 I agree. In my 55 years, the only other player who comes close is Magic.

  • what about michael jordan ?!

  • @nbajordan2 Jordan is the NBA's most marketed whore ever.

  • larry bird sucks michael jordan is way better than larry and you bitch saying thug criminal uneducated fuckyou

  • @miguelzero92 Silly punk. Bird never lost a playoff game to Jordan. 6-0.

  • @reno93535 TRUE, but it was MJ vs Boston in those times. MJ hit 63 but his team still lost, surely you can't say Larry was better then MJ?

  • @WeAndWeR1 Well, it was Boston against Chicago, and once Bird and Magic were past their prime and/or retired, the Bulls for a while were the best team in a weak league. But yes, other than having a better outside shot, rebound average, assist average, FT%, more double doubles, triples doubles, blocks per game average. 3 pt FG%, and overall beating the MJ Bulls in 13 straight games and 23 out of 34 that they played one another, including 6-0 in the playoffs, MJ is the better player.

  • larry bird sucks michael jordan is way better than larry and you bitch saying tug criminal uneducated fuckyou

  • @miguelzero92 just shows how much hate when a white person beats a black person....

  • When Bird was in HS, he could jump & touch the TOP of the backboard square, and could make several reverse and 360 jams. But, he injured his back prior to joining the IS Sycamores, and had to ALTER his game immensely into what is always best remembered of him. So, when he injured his back in 1991, it was an OLD injury. If Bird never had back problems, he could've played well into his late 30's, and go down as the BEST basketball player ever. He's still considered by many as the best ever.

  • Yo soy mejor atleta que ese cojo. dizque el ave, inteligencia y coraje si, pero atletico ni ave.

  • 27 people dont know what basketball is!!!

  • and white guys cant ball

  • see that LeBron, Kobe, and Dwayne? it's called PASSING THE FUCKING BALL.

  • One of my fav players, He didnt have the same athletiscism as some but he worked and worked and worked on the court. Thats what made him great even with his back he gave his all every game.

  • Beautiful basketball at its best.

I find games in the 80's and 90's so much more interesting than the games now.

Games nowadays don't give me the same feeling as they used to, not sure why..

Something about it before made it feel great.

  • @sinorsaint it's because nobody is allowed to play defense anymore in the NBA.

  • @drewjitsu I agree looking back at the bird and jordan eras, although sometimes over the top, it was much more fluid due to play being allowed to continue not little girl fouls called cause someones arm brushed someone elses.

  • Why would you even think about disliking this video?

  • why do all white basketball player montages have music like this lmfao

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty vile words for such an idiot, this is real music, its about dreams and working hard not gang and drugs, it's John Mellencamp and it rocks, this is from back to almost 20 years ago black basketball players had music like this too so don't be a racist douchebag.

I wish you say that in front of the 1992 dream team and I'm not even american but I would love to see your sissy ass being trashed all over the stadium by the whole NBA back when you were like 10 hiding under your mommy's panties.

  • Mai più nessuno come lui!

Mi manca e manca alla pallacanestro

  • back when the NBA wasnt all about dunking from the free throw line

  • ps. look up Larry Bird's 1988 three point contest, I've never seen Jordan do anything like that.

  • @queballpuppy Jordan was a SCORER not a shooter

  • Jordan was more athletic, but aside from dunking from the foul line, show me Jordan shoot from behind the backboard, or fake the crap out of the other team so they are SO confused. Jordan Is better, but Larry's more entertaining.

  • @queballpuppy and jordan did shoot from behind the backboard

  • the greatest player and ambassador to the sport is dr j and dr j says that larry is a basketball genious I think ill take his opinion

  • @2663jim Dr. j knew the game. And is very humble like bird. He didn't have the more complete game that bird did, and he knew it. Julius was one of the best to take it to the rim. What people don't realize is that bird averaged a double double for his whole CAREER. And they weren't whats called back door triple doubles. Jason kidd has a ton of triple doubles, BUT I'd take bird's 25 10 and 8 games over kids 15 5rpg and 10 assists. Magic was great and SO close, but a healthy bird is slightly better

  • larry bird the greatest ever

  • I'm a Celtics fan, but I put MJ above Bird because of Bird's health. Everyone forgets that Bird changed the game more than anyone else except Russell and MJ, and Bird won immediately on mediocre teams, which MJ didn't do. If Bird had stayed healthy, and hadn't lost his explosiveness, who knows. If Bias hadn't died and Bird didn't blow himself out in the failed 86-87 campaign, or Reggie Lewis lived, extending Bird's career, who knows?

Then again, what if MJ hadn't left for baseball?

  • back then--larry passes the ball. people stand around and give the guy chance to shoot. Now. Pass the ball. FOUL!

  • SoutHcouGars2010 sorry wasnt trying 2 piss anyone offf here im just saying stats dont make the player

  • Anyone who thinks Bird was better then Jordan is a fool

Jordan was FAR more needed on his team then Bird, Bird won 3 championships, and didn't even get MVP all 3

Let me remind you, Jordan won 3 in a row, twice, and got MVP every one, not to mention not one series went past 6 games.

and BTW, Pippen wasn't even considered a top 5 PF at the time, McHale was.

Jordan averged 30.1ppg, 6 more then Bird, and still had a higher field goal %

Jordan also got a defensive player of the year...

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 The year bird didn't get the finals mvp; in'87- '88 LB averaged 7.8 assists that year and 28.1 9.3 rebounds. After his 3 in a row MVp's. Bird averaged more rebounds, assists, FT%, 3p%. I've said it once and I'll say it again; you cannot compare a SG to an SF. Lebron is the first SF to come along that holds a candle to bird THUS FAR. MJ was the greates SG of all time. MJ great, but so was bird, magic, oscar, wilt, russell, Moses, kareem, pettit, Walt, Barry, Dr.j at their spots

  • Lebron is the first SF to come along that holds a candle to bird THUS FAR. Lebron hasn't surpassed bird YET, but he might. But to bird's credit its been 20+ years. Time is one of the greatest measures of greatness.

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 Don't call people fools man, please. I saw bird in his first 6 years before the back injury. He had a great first step and average 2 dunks a game. Bird was NEVER nonathletic, for a player to average 10 rebounds a game and 2.3 offensive reb a game; you have to somewhat athletic.28'' vertical=bird which is the avg vert in todays nba. leading fast break almost every time. Thats what media hyped him to be because fans related to a hard worker who had more heart than skill. C'mon?

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 Pippen was an SF not a PF, and he shouldered alot for mike in the 90's. Everybody has help to win. And Bird was 1st in points, 1st almost always in rebounds, 1st almost always in assists, FT% 1st, 3p% 2nd. MJ was 1st in points, 4th in rebounds, 2nd or 3rd in assists, 3rd in FT% for starters on 3rd in 3p%their respective teams. BOTH 2 most complete basketball players of all time.Bird had injuries for much of his career. Wasn't 100% with the driving and still dominated.

  • @usnate1 Do you want to count the championship rings? Or MVP's? or Finals MVP's? Or DPOY? Or seasons about 30ppg? Larry is t5, but isn't close to MJ, MJ schooled him his rookie year go look it up.

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 Championships are team accomplishments. Thats why MJ didn' t win anything without a team around him. Just like all of them. The one thing that bird does have over magic and mj both; is a rookie winning season without, mchale, parish, DJ. Magic's team was set up and waiting for him when he arrived. MJ had to wait until lakers, celts, pistons were geriatrics. And I saw, don't have to look it up. Mj was a prolific scorer, but he had a slower development in terns of b-ball I.Q.

  • @usnate1 I'M GOING TO END IT ON THIS NOTE. MJ IS THE GREATEST HUMAN BEING TO EVER LAY HANDS ON A BASKETBALL. FOR MOST PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T SUCKED BIRDS DICK, THIS ISN'T EVEN AGRUABLE, THEY WOULD LAUGH AT YOUR RETARDED ASS. YOU GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF HATERS, HE WOULD OF HAD 8 IN A ROW IF HE DIDN'T LEAVE FOR BASEBALL. SHIT, I'LL TAKE KOBE OVER BIRD.

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 boy what an uininformed asshole.

  • @John19182004 What? What a great argument you have. I'm think you got me there, I'm a "uininformed" asshole, because you say so. Let me inform you, don't respond, I'm not going to argue with someone who can't spell uninformed. Your parents must be proud.

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 dyke lover. go f*ck urself and do it with a monster dildo with no lube

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 yes mj and kobe are great but bird is the greatest all around player...fuck you.putang ina mo...

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 Jordan lost every playoff game he played in against Bird. Every single one.

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 Larry was runner up 4 times in MVP voting along with his 3. MJ had no rivals in the 90's where he won most of his MVPs.Do you still think that you can compare positions? Please be respectful, and I promise I will be as well. Bird average .6 fewer steal a game than did MJ and the blocks are the same. Look at stats if you think that MVP's aren't political. 24ppg, 10 reb, 6.5apg is more impressive to ME than 30.0 5.3 apg, 5 reb. While bird takes 3p% by a mile, FT%huge.Arguable...

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 yeah he always loss against larry inthe playoff...your mj

  • Definition of court awareness- Larry Bird.

  • It is sickening how today's players are bigger, stronger, and faster (which is supposed to make them better) and yet none them could carry Larry's jock strap. Learn to shoot you spoiled thugs!

  • Bird had a greater impact in the W-L column than Jordan had with the Bulls. Nobody can seriously refute that. Bird took a McHaleless and Parishless team to the conference finals in his rookie season. He proved he could turn around a bad team. Jordan never proved he could lead his team to a winning record without Pippen. Look at how the Celtics collapsed in 1988-89; now look at the 1993-94 Bulls. That Bulls team went into the playoffs as the # 2 seed! Bird's 1989 team missed him more.

  • @suaved really? because Pippen wasn't even considered a top 5 PF at the time, and McHale was. For anyone to say he was better then Jordan is either: 1. Racist, or 2. from Boston. He won only 3 championships, and wasn't even Finals MVP all three times. Jordan even got defensive player of the year in 88, best Bird ever did defensively was all NBA 2nd team. Jordan also led his team to six championships, got Finals MVP all six times, and not one series went past six games.

  • @SoutHcouGars2010 I agree with you. Jordan is the best player but the case could be made for Bird. He was a far smarter player. He knew how to win instantly in the league. He was a better shooter, passer and rebounder than Jordan. Jordan was the better individual defender but Bird was a very underrated team defender. So don't insult people just because they think Bird is better.. He is more than a worthy choice for being called the best ever. And Bird played in a much tougher decade.

  • Michael Jordan got me interested in Basketball, and I'm still a Bulls fan. But Larry Bird really is basketball through and through... His work ethic and his sheer desire to never give up is the stuff which makes basketball great, some of today's "Superstars" could do with some of that heart and desire that Larry had so much of which made him one of the games greatest. Bird 33 - True greatness... and Im a Bulls fan :D

  • i wouldn't say the greatest player of all-time but i would say he is the best pure shooter of all-time

  • im not really sure y ppl think that michael jordan was better larry bird was better in his prime with out a doubt

  • @tallpaul3rd Were you even alive you moron? Not one category or achievement could back up what you just said. When Bird get's defensive player of the year LMK

When he wins six championships(two 3peats), and NOT ONE SERIES GOING PAST SIX GAMES, and getting Finals MVP everytime, LMK

Jordan averaged 30.1ppg in his career, Bird averaged 24 with only 1 more assits, but even with more points, he had a better FG%

Theres videos of Jordan absolutely schooling Larry Bird as a rookie

    plz stfu

  • Great video thanks for the post..!!!

  • My favorite player of all time!!!!!!!

  • Michael Jordan is much better

  • my buddy is a bird hater... i bet he didn't see this video.

  • this is how basketball should be played not like today's dunk contest and how no1 plays defense

  • The most..most self motivated player to i ever seen in basketball

  • Damn he was good---so were those teams-a pleasure to watch

  • Im a Lakers fan, but i gotta admit Larry was one of, if not, the best player ever to play...

  • @GuruITG

not the best. and im a LAL fan to. not the best. jordan, chamberlin, moses malone, magic, hakeem. comeon man he aint the best

  • @Venomenon314 thats why i said one of. what i meant was he was so versitile and could proberly play 4 of the 5 positions. He could hit the outside shot or drive the lane. Like magic said "There will never be another larry bird."

  • I remember my dad taking me to watch Larry cut his grass on Saturday afternoons... Yep, he cut his own grass. He had a small little brick ranch.. nothing fancy.. He'd wave and sign one or two autographs afterward.. He even picked me up real high over his head one time.. Dad said he had a good work ethic. Work, home, work, home work, Chores on Saturday. He lived basketball.

  • i am havin a hard time believing that, but if it is true. thats awesome!

  • That's true. I'm from Jasper, Indiana and I witnessed him in his young days. He truly was like that, even boring to a degree.

  • are you serious

  • What's amazing about him is how selfless he was and so dedicated to working for the team. The ultimate team player.

  • @boscoesarmy How about how he usd to throw his body into the chairs.. with or without people in them to save a ball? I am actually looking for the clip of where he chases a ball all the way down the court and dives to safe it and no one else is even trying.... The Hick from French Lick..

  • cant run cant jump doesn't dunk!

    Simply the best

Maybe the smartest and hardest worker ever!

  • one of my favorite players,he put the team first and everything else second.

  • You are correct !!

A career .886 free throw percentage.

The Bird-man did it all !!

Rebound, score, pass, hit 3's, from the line, in the clutch..won championships.

    Truly a legend !!

    No skin color needed..

  • Two categories of basketball players: (1) Larry Bird. (2) Everyone Else.

  • What happened to all of the great white basketball players?

  • Comment removed

  • Larry is the greatest of all time!!

  • @violin99 :how is larry the goat? he had 4 HOFers(including himself) 1 former finals MVP winner & only won 3 rings...& u can't say he faced better teams cuz guess what, his team was the best team @ that time...they even had a better team than the lakers & lakers won more rings than them...i am impressed by his 3 MVP's in a row (something nash should've gotten)...bird is just the greatest SF of all time, but 2 say he's the greatest is a slap in the face 2 the other legends.

  • Your a fucking moron, Magic had Kareem & Worthy, both had Finals MVPs, NCAA MVPS, NCAA Championships, NCAA Tourney MVPS, Bird had Parish & McHale: no mvps, both did nothing in college. McHale didn't even start his 1st 4 years in the NBA. Magic had 2 NBA players on his MSU team, Bird led a bunch of nobodies on ISU to NCAA finals undefeated. Bird took his team from 2nd worst to first his rookie year with no McHale, Parish, DJ, Walton. Bird is best team Player ever, period. FYI MJ had 4 HOFers

  • FYI, the only reason Magic beat bird in 85 & 86 was injuries, 85, no Cedric maxwell, Bird broken hand. 87, McHale on broken foot, Parish on 2 sprained ankles, no Bill Walton, they still beat Magic twice, should be 3 if not for shitty refereed game 4. Magic always had better talent around him from college to NBA.

  • @MerkinMuffly :whaaaa!!!!!!.....when did i mention jordan?....i was just talking about bird & magic

  • @violin99 : i have bird as the greatest SF of all time right now...but i think by the time his career is over lebron james will go down as the greatest SF...right now he's nowhere near larry bird so i won't compare them but he will get there & will pass him

  • the running one handed left hander against detroit right before the steal in this vid came in game 7 of the eastern conference finals in 87 ,,it was his 35th of 37 points, and he played all 48 minutes of that game 7,,,,,the steal was at the end of game 5,,,,larry post season efforts against the bucks pistons and lakers with oposing defenses looking to double him as the team was crippled with injuries are basically never going to be duplicated...should have won his 4th mvp in 86-87

  • Larry Bird is the greatest basketball player ever!!

He was not as fast and could not jump as high but for

hard work he was the best!! The NBA needs another Larry

Bird!! Those tattoos and bad behavior are common place

in today's NBA!! It's a thug and criminal league full

of uneducated fools who can't graduate from college!!

  • haha the nba needs another jordan, magic, bird, russell, chamberlain, west the list goes on. The NBA needs REAL stars

  • don't forget Pistol Pete

  • u r right man

uneducated fools who can't graduate from college

    i like u commjenttttt

  • tru, but 4 sum of these people, their talent in basketball saves thm from the streets.

  • @violin99 What are you saying? People were like that in the NBA back then.

  • @violin99 Racist White Boy. Larry Bird is overrated. Kobe would sh1t on him

  • @tybceo25 actually kobe would've probably been mad that the guy guarding him can't stop him from scoring. Kobe's ego is huge. If he's not winning then something's not right.

  • @tybceo25 hes not being racist and this is from another black man, i disagree that larry is the best basketball player ever but still hes good and him stating an opinion is not being racist and kobe bryant is a whining ass little girl and im a lakers fan as well

  • @violin99. You are not going to see another Larry Bird, because he forced NBA teams to stop quotas because he destroyed the white role player which nobody including Jordan couldn't do.

  • alltime celtic team bird,dj,parish,ainge,mchale,wedman,

    walton,sichting,maxwell,ml carr,henderson,archibald

  • magic,jordan,erving,bird,

    kareem

  • you read my mind. Top 5 ever. not even from other planet could beat them.

  • The 1st [3] you are right on the money, as everyone say's the same lineup.

  • PG- Magic Johnson

    SG- Michael Jordan

    SF- Larry Bird

    PF- Kevin Garnett

    C- Bill Russell

now i bet your all wondering about KG, theres without a doubt better natural PF's but he can do so many things that Malone, Barkley and McHale couldn't

  • my all time line-up:

    1 guard magic

    2 guard michael

    sf larry

    pf barkley

    c hakeem

  • Killer team

  • i love this music with this video, larry Bird played with heart

  • this video gets better every time i look at it-but the fact is you could make a 6 hr highlight video-this was right before tbs and others started televisiong nba games at night and more often--and the reason they were were willing to do so is because Bird and magic revived a non exsist league-- jordan kobe and lebron owe everything to the 80's celtics and laKERS,you were lucky to get a sunday afternoon game on cds in 1984,,,,,larrys great games were missed but i have highlights on my channel

  • than go post on an mj highlight reel

  • Larry Bird and Charles Barkley...the Greatest Forwards I Ever Saw

  • Larry Legend the greatest Forward of all time. Always made the right play @ the right time on Offense & Defense. Perhaps the best Hand Eye Coordination the game has ever seen.

  • the two greatest game efforts in baketball were Larry Birds performances in games 5 and 7 of the 1987 confernce finals against the detroit Pistons--when the pistons started talking Shi$% to Larry-he schooled them by himself..--Mchale had two broken bones in his foot... Parrish had two bad ankles and walton was out the whole year---i have some clips of those games on my account-if you want to see the greatest player in action,, no one even comes close

  • i love larry, but mj is better imo

  • Im not even going to get into todays leagues weak rules. The thing is Birds first 10 years were better than Kobes. He won 3 MVPs in a row. He had better FG% and was a far better team player. The reason Kobe has a higher PPG through 2003-2007 is because he is the teams main offense. Larry didnt have to be the first option because he had Mchale/Parish. Look at Kobes PPG this season with Gasol and Odom.. look at this stats when he was with shaq.

    Bird > Kobe

  • And one more thing; the Kareem highlight video would be of him 1st in a Bucks uniform and then in a Laker uniform shooting sky hooks to the sounds of the song "One Trick Pony".....put you to sleep.

  • Yeah cos even those made up stats of yours are really bad. He also has enough clutch and enough hustle to win more games than any other player to ever step on the court. You think anyone's work rate has ever come close to Larry Bird, he is a legend for a reason

  • umm no hes known as a bitch for being stubborn how can people respect his ass if he tried to fight kareem all the timme kareem whopp his ass anyways larry bird can suck his dick

  • Bird retired when he was 36 yrs old you nimwit. Larry grew up playing ball in Indiana where the sport is treated like a religion. Kareem was always known as a >soft" player and he even jokes about it in his cameo appearance in the movie Airplane. The Boston / LA rivalry back then was true contempt for the other team. BTW; learn to use the spellcheck feature on your computer because it makes you appear to be even more of a 'tard than your uninformed comments already do...ya MAROON!!!
