Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Derrick Rose, Gary Payton, Isiah Thomas, John Stockton and Jason Kidd are all great PG's, but none of them are on the same level as Magic Johnson. The only one that comes close is Steve Nash IMO

I remember growing up and watching Magic and Bird and all of the no look passes and then going out to the playground and trying to be like them. They really changed the game and brought enthusiasm to the game. You really don't see it that much in today's game.

@armiasazariya He does, and he's one of the all time greats, but the reason he has the record is that he played for so long. He has 0 titles to Magic's 5. 2 Finals appearances to Magic's 9. 0 MVP's to Magic's 3. He did compile a lot of stats, and not just anybody can do what Stockton did, but ultimately he didn't achieve the ultimate prize even once.
The person usually in conversation with Magic as the greatest PG is Oscar Robertson.
Stockton's in the 2nd tier with Isiah and Kidd.

Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Derrick Rose, Gary Payton, Isiah Thomas, John Stockton and Jason Kidd are all great PG's, but none of them are on the same level as Magic Johnson. The only one that comes close is Steve Nash IMO

@xhotsizzlex By the end of there careers, Rose will proberly be conidered the better player and one of the best point-guards of all time, but overall right now, Steve Nash is the 2nd best PG of all time, theres just no question about it! You see Nash this season, he's still good, well multiply how good he is now by 50 and then you get the Steve Nash of 2005-2006.

@HTMAJPW Not saying Nash isn't a great PG because he is. But he's only in the top 5 if you mean his generation. If you say all-time you have to look beyond the last few years. You probably don't know about someone like Oscar Robertson who was top 10 all-time regardless of position, and young people don't even mention him because he wasn't flashy and came before Sportscenter.

I remember growing up and watching Magic and Bird and all of the no look passes and then going out to the playground and trying to be like them. They really changed the game and brought enthusiasm to the game. You really don't see it that much in today's game.
