the LDS church is not stupid. Look all around us we are self sufficient for the most part and do not depend on government. WE will stand with the constitution sooner or later and enemies BEWARE.
This video is an OPINION and does NOT represent the views of all Mormons. I say this because I am a Mormon. Liberty is important no doubt, but what of social justice?
To reach our fondest dreams as humans, the day must come, the day WILL come when the US will be done away with and a new a far more glorious government will be implemented. We would do well to keep our eyes on the savior, Jesus Christ, and be careful to avoid the idolatry of excessive patriotism.
@HerrimanMustang "Patriotism" does NOT necessarily mean devotion to one's GOVERNMENT. In fact the founding fathers were traitors in the eyes of their government (the monarchy of England) and devoted to liberty.
I am a Latter Day Saint in Iowa. I am frustrated, disappointed, and frankly perplexed by the lack of overwhelming support for Ron Paul within the Mormon community. The prophets have told us repeatedly that the Constitution is a sacred document. We have been COMMANDED to seek diligently for honest and wise men to hold political office. Ron Paul is the "Champion of the Constitution". Wake up, Saints!
@spacehabitats What's interesting to me is I know EXACTLY how you feel. I am perplexed that Mormons are not supporting Obama en masse. How are you and I of the same religion yet so far from each other politically? Is one of us wrong? Are both of us wrong? Or are we both lacking vision? No doubt you think I am wrong and a few years ago I would have said the same of you, but I think there's more to it than that oversimplistic answer. What do you think?
Excellent video. I lived for over 15 years in the Salt Lake Valley and have many LDS friends. All the friends I remain in contact with are voting for Ron Paul. Mitt R. is not even a possibility in their eyes.
The fight for freedom produces an dividing line; if you are found to be on the wrong side of this fight then you are on Satin's side. Satin wants you do nothing or be ignorant of 'The Object Principle of Freedom'. Nobody can escape from this dividing line. There are many who go to church and are fully dutiful in high places, but this does not exempt them them from the said dividing line. In essence the said dividing line separates those who are on God's side and those who are not.
@SunnyDaysRFun I am interested in this "Satin", because satin is a very fine fabric and pleasing to the skin, so if there is a dividing line between satin and say itchy wool, I will choose satin every time. But maybe I am confused, if god is against satin, does that mean he want us to wear itchy wool?
@calamagrostis88 I am more interested on how you can be tripped on on miss spelled words instead of getting the point. Do you work for Satan?-- because I think he is good at finding fault instead of providing loving corrections. Maybe I am confused too, if you go to your local fabric store I think you can find all the satin that you want. Oh, and you find wool itchy? If you started to eat right you would not have such problems.
I think we waited to late. The stock market I believe will crash before 2013 and then a third world war will begin shortly after. Then the Tribulation soon after. If I am wrong then it won't be by many years. Keep praying.
The Constitution is clear about the Presidential oath of office. There is no mention of god in the oath or anywhere else in the Constitution because the founders intended the United States to be a secular nation. In Article VI the Founders state that there shall be no religious test for office. By adding the words “so help me god” to the oath the new President is illegally amending the Constitution. He is taking the pledge and breaking it at the same time.
@calamagrostis88 Article VII of the Const. it states " . . Year of our Lord . . " Article 1 Sec. 7 it states " . . (Sundays excepted) . . " Declaration of Independence states " . . endowed by their creator. . ." Pursuant to 1811 NY The People v. Ruggles, 8 Johns 545 (Sup Ct N.Y. 1811) you have committed blasphemy and treason when you stated the founders intended the US to be a secular nation. Please tell me who you are so that I may charge you with TREASON.
The Oath Of Office is the thread by which the Constitution hangs. He who has taken this oath and violates it must be warned of their violations, onced warned this warning automatically brings a wrath of vengance upon their heads if they do not change their course. Spread the warning!!
Munson said the other area missionary, Josh Baum, was based in the northern section of Santiago. Munson said church headquarters in Salt Lake City, which directs the mission program, had not been in touch with Paul Hintze, president of the church in the St. Louis region. Hintze took that as a good sign, according to Munson.
Interfaith is not about losing faith; its about strengthening your own faith, said Alan Bachman, music chair for the performance and Jewish representative to the roundtable. He compared different faiths to different notes and explained that only when your own note is strong can you harmonize with another note and make beautiful music. Thats what will make the world work.
From the Ames courtroom on the Cambridge, Massachusetts campus, Elder Dallin H. SALT LAKE CITY 26 February 2010 An apostle for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints addressed students at the annual Mormonism 101 Series convened at Harvard Law School (Read the full transcript of the speech).
He said, "I felt that [volunteering] was a good way to give back to our great community here in Vancouver and help the world enjoy and appreciate the beauties of our area."
Vancouver British Columbia Stake President Thomas Walker, a dentist, is volunteering as a host with Event Services on Cypress Mountain, the location for snowboarding and free-style skiing events. Among his responsibilities are taking tickets, directing crowds, answering questions and ensuring that the guests and athletes have a safe and enjoyable experience
Part of the reason President Walker was selected as a volunteer was because he is bilingual; He learned to speak French while serving in the French East Mission. He noted that he was given a surprise test on French ability when an Olympic staff member telephoned him and spoke in French. "Apparently I passed as my uniform has 'Bonjour' on it to indicate that I can assist French-speaking visitors."
FACT. The lds church will only confide in the law when it is convenient or agrees with their doctrine. Earlier in the history of the church they ran from the law, hid crimes away from the eyes of justice.
You're right. I know that most members would like to see this as water under the bridge, but the doctrines, leaders and wild west mentality produced the MMM. Not all of the guilty of MM were convicted and punished in this world.
"I know that most members would like to see this as water under the bridge"
one thing I know is that after MMM, there were NO longer threats to EXTERMINATE the Mormons! Now your types are regulated to throwing stones on youtube!
Are you paranoid about something that happened in the 1800s? You never mention Sidneys speech of exterimination. Regulated? Is this like destroying a press or burning books that displease you?
Mormonism is a ridiculous scam created by a fraudulent self-obsessed liar trying to win back credibility for being convicted in a court of law for being a fraudulent. He was sued by the state for telling people he was "a finder of precious metals in the earth" , and he was getting paid when he never found anything. Its so ridiculous that so many people follow this complete moron. i feel sorry for all these people. "Momonism" should be called "moron-ism" Joseph Smith is a Moron.
jphenicie, this video is about the Constitution and is sharing the views Mormons have about the Constitution. Your viewpoint about Mormonism itself is close to being irrelevant here. In fact, we are in the biggest take-over of the government and trashing of the Constitution in our nation's history and all you can talk about are Mormons?
I would easily bet that I could trash your religion in a heartbeat myself... with facts. Just talk about the topic here. Thanks and no thanks for your hatred.
Equating liberty to deregulation strikes me as an awfully simplistic notion. The current economic crisis seems to support this. Too much deregulation has led to rampant 'me first' abuses of the system. Regulations were there to prevent radicalization of the system. Now we must pay with a 'trickle down the debt' solution.
Bitherwack, the current crises has nothing to do with deregulation, deregulation always encourages economic growth. The current crises is due to the inflation created by the government through the federal reserve. Study Austrian Economics, there you will find the truth.
I agree. Banks lending to unqualified people was their downfall. But that is just what the banks wanted to do. Leaving people without any guidlines to live will lead to their destruction, just as it has for banks. Taking away banks' guidelines has been the blank check they've always wanted...and it lead to the kind of usury so offensive to the authors of the bible. Look at your credit card statement, and tell me if you agree with deregulation. I'm glad the Credit Card Bill of Rights passed!
It depends on wording etc. Usury would still be illegal if not for evil judges in this land that deliberately misinterpret the constitution for their own personal gain, money. I'm all for protecting the right to property but not one jot or tittle more than is necessary. Otherwise the gov't gets too much power and uses it to gain money and power, all to the detriment of the people it is supposed to protect.
I'm not sure I trust the private sector any more than I trust the government, 'Radont.'
We need to uphold the law, and shall expect others to do the same. We must always work to change unfair/unjust laws, and vigilantly preserve the right ones. And then keep the government and corporations obeying them.

Ah, well, as they say "The purge will begin within the Church." I'd recommend looking up Joseph Smith's platform when he ran for President - you'll see that Ron Paul paralleled him almost perfectly (maybe Joe Smith was a "whacko," too ;)
dolcepeter, It terrifies me that people with views like yours actually believe that they are faithful mainstream members of the church. You are living fulfillment of prophecy. Brigham Young said the day would come when you wouldn't be able to tell a Saint apart from a Blackleg (worldy gentile). Im sorry but its true. Roll on the cleansing! I don't suppose you believe in that either?
most of the momrons who supported romney supported him cause he was mormon.. i as a momron was supporting ron paul. cause he's a leader... and this country lost the opportunity to change itself back to what it use to be by not putting ron paul in office. biggest mistake by american people in my opinion.
Libertarians still have a negative image for most people, so many people never take the time to actually learn about it. Mormons are overwhelmingly Republican, yet so much of our doctrine points to libertarianism. We're all the victims of nanny-state government telling us that we can't do anything without its help. It takes a lot of work to break from that mindset & realize that just because you're told you have liberty doesn't make it so. It's time to reclaim the virtue of self-reliance.
The Prophet, Thomas S Monson should stand and declare Ron Paul as a great candidate. If the Prophet does not STAND and fight, then he is on the wrong side of freedom, for the enemy to freedom wants the prophet keep doing what he is doing becasue it doesn't hinder the growth of the enemy. It is a deviding line, if you are not fighting for our freedoms you are on the side of lucifer, nobody is exempt, not even Thomas S Monson.
Understand that the Prophet and the Church are under enormous scrutiny in this time. It was not so when we had more "vocal" prophets fifty years ago.
The enemies of Christ are looking for any opportunity to launch an all out attack on the kingdom of God. The brethren cannot outright warn us. They must do so subtly.
You may wonder if this is fair to the saints and to the world populace. Christ himself said "Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." It is up to us to seek for knowledge.
"Our friends wish to know our feelings towards the Government. I answer, they are first-rate, and we will prove it too, as you will see if you only live long enough, for that we shall live to prove it is certain; and when the Constitution of the United States hangs, as it were, upon a single thread, they will have to call for the 'Mormon' Elders to save it from utter destruction; and they will step forth and do it." (President Brigham Young, 1855; Journal of Discourses 2:182)
What a fantastic video!!! My hope is every church member in these United States has a chance to view this. It makes so much sense. It makes me want to become a Mormon. Wise men are these Mormon leaders in understanding that the Constitution is essential to their very existance. The tide is turning despite what the tuuuube says or doesn't say. Vote for Freedom! RP08

While some of Ron Paul's principles are sound, a number of them are not. They fall squarely in the Libertarian camp, which would like to return to the days of Woodrow Wilson and isolationism, . . . which we KNOW doesn't work. My greatest sadness to say, is that Ron Paul, while making great strides to effect changes in a positive Consitutionalist Party, is, un-electable. The best any Ron Paul supporter can hope for is to give him a place to help Mitt Romney win his candadicy, who IS electable.
LOL Woodrow Wilson and isolationism? Do you have even a cursory knowledge of history? Woodrow Wilson (Democrat) is the one that got us into WWI despite having campaigned on the slogan "he kept us out of the war". He invented the "Making the world safe for democracy" garbage that the Neo-Cons are now using.
Historians agree that the intervention of WW1 and subsequent reparations imposed on Germany made WWII a virtual inevitabily. Our CIA has been intervening all over the world for 50 years creating every enemy of tomorrow in the process.
We have 100 years of history proving that intervention DOESN'T work.
The Constitution will be upheld, yes, but we do not have any sort of guarantee that it will be the ruling document that continues to preside over the government of what we geographically call the United States now... that is not even the case as we speak right now.
How it will be upheld, and for whom and how many will find refuge under its shelter will be determined by our actions and your comfortable lack thereof.
The Lord stated that this Constitution is for all men and every nation it is in the D&C, it is His law. That is why our rights are God-given, it is God's law, the law of nature and nature's God, the common law.
Yeah right - it is mormon doctrine that the US goverment will be overthrown and replaced by a one world theocracy set up in Missouri and rum by Christ as the head of the mormon theocracy.
Even though your comment about Mitt is in jest, I would like to keep the comments positive...While I agree that Mitt Romney is uninformed about many aspects about the Constitution, I believe he is not an evil man.
@davidkat99 Yes, Mitt has good intentions, but the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. It is a good intention to have only straight marriage, but is that Constitutional? I think not. Is FORCING people to good ethics, like in marriage, a Christian thing to do? No, I don't think so; Lucifer was made outcast from Heaven for such force of ethic.
Mormons don't let Mormons vote for anyone but Ron Paul!
(PS What program do you use to make these videos? :D)
@davidkat99 If your outcome produces that which is evil than you are evil even if you did not have real intent. In the fight for freedom Satin relies on ones ignorance of the 'Object Principle of Freedom'. This ignorance places you on the wrong side of freedom in Satin's favor. Make no mistake, what Mitt advocates in the political world is truly evil, this makes him an evil man. Remember, if your outcome produces evil then u r evil. By their fruits u know them. NICE VIDEO
@davidkat99 I agree. I definitely don't think he's evil, but I think he's too daft and I don't appreciate his CEO leadership style. We need a constitutionalist in office if anyone. Ron Paul seems like the closest we have to a founding father.
No, he won't He has stated very clearly he doesn't believe that prophecy, despite its having been reaffirmed by almost every prophet since Joseph Smith and dozens of members of the 12.
As free men we have a right to uphold our Constitution. ...If you are LDS & think Mitt Romney is the only answer then you are not well informed! Read from the Book of Mormon, Alma Chapter 51 especially verses 6-8. Then sincerely review the candidates. There is only 1 who embodies the values of the writers of the Constitution. He is a Protestant by the name of Ron Paul! He's been standing alone 4 long enough! Ron has a long reputation of integrity, & supporting the Constitution. My Vote is 4 Ron.
Awesome! Any LDS person who IS for Romney obviously doesn't understand that Romney is NOT for the Constitution - he's a globalist - and frankly doesn't give a damn about US Sovereignty, or the Liberty of this great nation. He goes against everything that LDS people *say* they value...
Please vote for RON PAUL...he is the defender of the Constitution...the man standing for truth and freedom.

You hit the nail on the head.

Ron Paul for freedom!

Actually they are more careful in their speech. They talk a lot about secret combinations if you listen carefully.

RP08

This comment has received too many negative votes show
While some of Ron Paul's principles are sound, a number of them are not.

Now that Dr. Paul has shown us how to stand up and be men we had better do it. No more sitting silently by while our constitution is being ignored.

It is in our doctrine that this Constitution will be upheld, not destroyed. This entire world is Christ's he has every right to reign here.
CharityAngel 4 years ago
The Constitution will be upheld, yes, but we do not have any sort of guarantee that it will be the ruling document that continues to preside over the government of what we geographically call the United States now... that is not even the case as we speak right now.
How it will be upheld, and for whom and how many will find refuge under its shelter will be determined by our actions and your comfortable lack thereof.
Swmorgan77 4 years ago 2
The Lord stated that this Constitution is for all men and every nation it is in the D&C, it is His law. That is why our rights are God-given, it is God's law, the law of nature and nature's God, the common law.

Yeah right - it is mormon doctrine that the US goverment will be overthrown and replaced by a one world theocracy set up in Missouri and rum by Christ as the head of the mormon theocracy.

As a member of the LDS church I am supporting Ron Paul!

mitt is the antichrist (just kidding)
mitt wont be holding the constitution together by a thread
VOTE RON PAUL IF YOU WANT ANY HOPE FOR AMERICA
djlegionhardtek 4 years ago 5
Even though your comment about Mitt is in jest, I would like to keep the comments positive...While I agree that Mitt Romney is uninformed about many aspects about the Constitution, I believe he is not an evil man.
davidkat99 4 years ago
@davidkat99 Yes, Mitt has good intentions, but the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. It is a good intention to have only straight marriage, but is that Constitutional? I think not. Is FORCING people to good ethics, like in marriage, a Christian thing to do? No, I don't think so; Lucifer was made outcast from Heaven for such force of ethic.
Mormons don't let Mormons vote for anyone but Ron Paul!
(PS What program do you use to make these videos? :D)
masterskyrunner 7 months ago 2
@davidkat99 If your outcome produces that which is evil than you are evil even if you did not have real intent. In the fight for freedom Satin relies on ones ignorance of the 'Object Principle of Freedom'. This ignorance places you on the wrong side of freedom in Satin's favor. Make no mistake, what Mitt advocates in the political world is truly evil, this makes him an evil man. Remember, if your outcome produces evil then u r evil. By their fruits u know them. NICE VIDEO
SunnyDaysRFun 1 month ago
@davidkat99 I agree. I definitely don't think he's evil, but I think he's too daft and I don't appreciate his CEO leadership style. We need a constitutionalist in office if anyone. Ron Paul seems like the closest we have to a founding father.
phadrus 1 week ago
No, he won't He has stated very clearly he doesn't believe that prophecy, despite its having been reaffirmed by almost every prophet since Joseph Smith and dozens of members of the 12.
Swmorgan77 4 years ago
As free men we have a right to uphold our Constitution. ...If you are LDS & think Mitt Romney is the only answer then you are not well informed! Read from the Book of Mormon, Alma Chapter 51 especially verses 6-8. Then sincerely review the candidates. There is only 1 who embodies the values of the writers of the Constitution. He is a Protestant by the name of Ron Paul! He's been standing alone 4 long enough! Ron has a long reputation of integrity, & supporting the Constitution. My Vote is 4 Ron.
Alma51verse6and7 4 years ago
Awesome! Any LDS person who IS for Romney obviously doesn't understand that Romney is NOT for the Constitution - he's a globalist - and frankly doesn't give a damn about US Sovereignty, or the Liberty of this great nation. He goes against everything that LDS people *say* they value...
