It was a huge quake and tsuname , but it is not in my opinion the end of the World. just a big monster quake that happen in certain parts of the world every 50 years or so. Tokyo got hit big time -1923 very big quake.
them walls did save 1000s of lives but them rivers into japan are like a gateway for disaster as there are some of there rivers 80m to 288 meters wide i watched most of the footage or nearly all and watching the tsunami follow up them rivers knowing what was about to happen next how ever i am deeply sorry for the loss of life may they all R.I.P and may the people left to continue go with god's blessing
You people are really amazing how you banded together to help each other. If something like this happened in American you can rest assured that we would be looting and stealing anything of value because that's the American way. All for me and none for you.
"We can't do anything. Our house is gone... Our house has been swept away."
That broke my heart, especially the little girl (Or boy?) Saying Daddy what should we do. ='( No child wants to hear the answer of "There's nothing we can do." from their parents. My heart goes out to everyone who was effected by this disaster...
Japan is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Watching these videos, it's hard to believe that more people weren't killed. Some people might think that Japan's extraordinary tsunami preparedness wasn't enough but it probably saved tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of lives. People had advance warning and knew what to do. People living by the Indian Ocean in 2004 weren't so fortunate.
in america i dont see so many of us being so together....too much selfish "save yourself" mentality. this gave me hope that maybe we can do the same thing
if you watch at 3:45 you can see a black dog running around on the road down on the bottom right and then 3:57 you can see it get swallowed underneath the rushing water.
I was in Kamaishi city when it hit, the hotel I was in was completely washed away, I still have horrible nightmares of it, I would think of going back there to see if they've recovered, but i'm personally too scared to do it! D:
@Supergirl4455 I can certainly understand your fear. My God what a catastrophe. Even with the videos it's hard to coprehend what it must have been like. Glad you survived.
@frelnc If I hadn't survived I wouldn't be here right now, my friends would be so devistated, and everything would be different, how someone lives is how a whole life began, and if they died, things would of instantly changed, and alot of changed happened in japan after this happened.. it's a chain reaction.
Its the soundtrack for the show in the background. It is a kind of windy tone, conveying dread...I think this was a way for the sound designer to even out the mix in sound quality between all the different footage...It is still pretty creepy.
i would of have no idea what to do during this =(

Can somebody look me straight in the eyes and tell me the end of the world isn't happening? Cause after this I believe that the end is close.

@1dogeez It's sounds the editor's add to the movie. Usually a program/sound packs can be found online googling "scary sounds" or something like that
