It was because they are approaching a bridge. SSL crews are the best I have ever railfanned, bar none! If the see someone taking pixs etc. They toot toot!

I am from Midlothian Il and when I go home to see my folks, I head over to the SSL, my FAVORITE RR! I live in Lake Stevens,WA, that's why you'll see BNSF video along with the SSL. I have a DVD out called "The South Shore in The 1970's" You can find it on ebay and it's an actual sound color program.
