No, this is not a folk song from England it that's what you're saying. It was a song made popular in th 50's by a band called Hermand's Hermits.

icyroses is correct. Young in his reign, Henry was widely acclaimed as the best looking in the kingdom. He was also known for his rivalry against the King of France and the Holy Roman Emperor for the spot of the best bachelor(although technically they weren't bachelors.)lol

It is historically accurate. They're casting Henry VIII when he was twenty-five. At that time, he was considered Europe's most attractive king. He was muscular, young, and extremely handsome. Everyone loved him. He didn't become fat until he fell in a jousting tournament, and the resulting ulcer prevented him from exercising. Then he began to gain weight.
