Kino's definitely grown up here. Her appearance and body is starting to look more feminine, and the tattered ends of her coat show that she's traveled for quite a while now. Even so, Kino will continue her journey.
I've never read the light novels. I've only watched the anime. I just wanna ask: what happens to Kino? Does she die or are the novels still being written?
Kino changed hair..a bit.^^ and she seems a lot cheerful now,maybe that's the change...too bad the girl still believes that Rouge's still alive...poor her..T~T
i really like Kino and all...but, somehow i think she changed on this episode...but still..I like Kino! (she looks like Rico on gunslinger girls,too bad i hate Rico.)
I'd like Kino to have a second season- the entire series is a masterpiece, like a piece of art. 13 episodes is way too short, even if you include episode 0 and the two movies. I wouldn't mind another... hundred or so.
And what's even worse is that the books, which have so many volume in Japan right now, are being translated into English with the speed of proton decay.
yeah it would be nice to have more eps, but i´m afraid that people won´t like it, it usaly happens ´cause they change the animator, and they hate how the characters look or the way the manga is adapted.
at least you lucky to have the oportunity to see the books, in my country they´re impossible to get even on english translation ´cause here we speak spanish
sadly the only reason its taking so long for the books is because tokyo pop moved the chapters around and changed some of it to their own liking and the creator got mad (i would too)
There's definitely a distinction on what an author wants and what the publisher would think would be "acceptable to audiences." Take for instance, the "Country of Adults" episode is a few episodes into the TV series, but in the North American translation, Tokyopop made it the first chapter. Why? Well, the only reason I can think of is because Tokyopop [arrogantly and incorrectly] thought that English-speaking readers would be too stupid to comprehend anything else but a chronological order.
Actually the reason why they moved the Land of Adults to the first chapter is because it would be hard to keep Kino's gender ambiguous using the english language. whereas in Japanese it's easier to conceal and so revealing it in later chapters adds to the flavor of the series.
Tokyopop can't risk making the translations sound bad by using the word "traveler" all the time when talking about Kino. It's unavoidable and i think they made the right choice.

Problem is that "some people" don't want to give the licensing rights to Tokyopop to translate the novels..... T_T
And I agree with you that they have more than enough material for another season or two even!
I always hope that one day, a new season will pop up and surprise me XD ^^;
Or they can at least animate Gakuen Kino as well
Long sentence short: The world needs more Kino!!!!

I hope they make some more of this anime. It's too good to be this short.
