As ChrsGuit, i m really curious about the neck of that guitar, i can't find one to try... I'm not really tall (1m70) and i would like to be sure that the neck isn't too large before ordering it. I have a mexican one with quiet a thin neck, perfect for me so i can play thumb over. Are you tall? With big hands?
Hey man, just out of curiosity... How would you describe the neck shape of the JM. I have a 10 year old Mex Standard (C shape neck) and it's slightly bigger that the current standard and American Standard models. My fear is that the John Mayer model I ordered will have a "baseball bat" neck. By it being "slightly larger" and mine being "slightly larger" than standard, I'm hoping to end up with the same size... Just as long as it's not like the SRV's!!! I've tried several and just don't like them
I think that it's pretty similar to the one you have... It's certainly better than the SRV neck! I think it's a bit narrower than the standard neck, but has a slightly larger "C" shape... It is the only neck I feel fit my hand, and I've tried a lot of guitars...
The JM signature is one of the best guitars I have ever played. It is definatly better than the American Standard, both the sound and the playability and quality. I even think it is a little bit better than the SRV signature...The SRV is great though, but I like the neck shape on the JM better...
i did want a vg but now that i see this strat holy shit i want it great tone is it true that you cant go past the 12th fret bending or whatever because then it sounds bad?
Use your EYES: D Bm A G, all roots on the 6the string at the 10th, 7th, 5th and 3rd frets respectively. If you can't see and hear this, you've got no chance of playing it.

Hey. Buy any type of Fender Strat, but make sure that it has Texas special pickups, they have the best sound... This guitar does not have the Texas Special pickups, but they are pretty similar...
that was excellent man by far the best cover of this song and one of the best covers on here im a huge JM fan and a lot of these covers dissapoint me. your inspired me. way to go man. props to you.
no tab, sorry. I play by ear, and feeling has a lot to do about how you play this song...but I'm sure there is a tab for this if you search the web....
Great work. This video actually inspired me to buy a guitar today. So now I'm going home to learn how to play on my brand new beautiful Crome Red Fender Mex. Stratocaster. :) Keep up the good work!
Dude... this has got to be the BEST cover of this song that I've seen period. Totally nailed it. And if not that, your Strat just totally kicks ass. Man I would die to have your Fender. Way to go and keep on rockin'
Yeah. Ever since the limited number ran out, those are getting harder and harder to come by. I got mine late last year directly from Guitar Center in the US, but that was only because some guy put it on layaway for a year and never picked it up.
They're still producing the solid white ones though.
But the limited (charcoal frost metallic & shoreline gold) look much more unique.
It's worth the money... It is easily the best guitar I've played in my life, and I've been playing for 14yrs so...The Fender JM Signature will cost you around $2500-3000, I think...Good luck with the hunt..
The signature is $1499.00 @ Guitar Center. The one you have was part of a limited run, but that's only because of the color...the sound on any of signatures should be similar.
Nice!
