I don't think you can force anyone to do anything. If WAL-MART doesnt want to allow unions, that sucks for the people who _choose_ to work at WAL-MART. When a union gets into a WAL-MART, head office closes that store. This will not ever change under the central-bank-directed capitalism where infinite growth is required to pay interest. You want to fix the world start with the very nature of how money works. You want to fix WAL-MART, stop shopping there. (I have to shop there for the low prices)
Walmart spends billions on Lobbying to have the government look the other way. Obama knows how Walmart treats it's employees, and he does nothing about it. ( even though he promised he would) I have seen what happens to a Walmart that goes Union, they close it down. They rather take a loss than have a Unionized store. They do things to discourage Unions, even illegal things. But, everyone turns the other way because they care more about cheap China shit than the welfare of other human beings.
If they don't like their job at Walmart, they can get a job at Target. If they can't get a job at Target, they can work at Walmart. Let the employee decide. It's called FREE MARKET.
Both Wal-mart and Target pay below poverty level wages. No one can support themselves living on their pay. It should be the Multi-billion dollar companies moral obligation to pay their employees well. Why should tax payers support their employees? Why should their suppliers be forced to either close or take their business over seas? $10.00 and hour does not cut it.
i work at target and we don't have unions yet we are treated fairly and paid decently...why hasn't walmart been properly held accountable for its disrespect to its employees yet??
@shelbiwoo2 You say they pay you well and treat you well, then say why haven't they been accountable for disrespecting you? How does that make any sense? WalMart helps everyone (including their workers) by giving us goods at prices we can afford. They also employ about 100 times more people than they would be able to if they had artificial wage controls forced by a union = 100 times the people out of work completely. Only a few win, but especially the union elites.
Prices we can afford by paying it's employees below poverty wages, forcing jobs over seas, and btw, walmart runs it's stores on a skeleton crew as is. I know, I worked at Wal-mart. As an Electronics associate I had to take care of 5 other departments on top of my own. Because Wal-mart is to cheap to hire more people. Most people i worked with were on state assistance, forcing the financial burden onto the tax payer.
Does this stil happen?
Thumbs up if yes.
