this is such an underrated movie, the movie is really original, sure a lot of movies try to incorporate a hacker theme, but no movie delved right into it and immerse the audience in this subculture. Still one of the greatest movies from the 90s

Us generation xer's grew up with the atomic bomb and the soviet union over our heads which might be why we tended to be a bit Nihilistic. This was the movie that inspired me to get into hacking for a while and virus writing but I now think it's lame to do so.

Good choice of lighting, colors, wardrobe, music... makes me forget that the hacking involved was actually unrealistic.. but who cares, most films have some unrealistic components to them.. this shit takes me back to when Rollerblading and PlayStation was cool!

When they put this song in Mortal Kombat, I was super pissed off. One of my favorite tunes in a terrible movie, when the song didn't even fit...

The word Halcyon is a term that originates from the Greek myth of Alcyone, is used most often to mean golden or marked by peace and prosperity. It was meant to show the assumed golden age of peace winning the tournament brough about.

I think thats weird that the ending cut off with just showing New York City with the Empire State Building. Even though this was made in 1995 and it said 7 years later, there's no Twin Towers. Maybe i'm just thinking too hard, but it was a little weird :P.
