Somehow I don't think you're a med student. Anybody with the intelligence required to be admitted into med school would not use such anecdotal evidence as yours, when arguing over quality of one program compared to another. You were in both premed schools so you know KSU's is better? And it's not just because your biased? I have anecdotal evidence as well. I started out B-School at KSU and transferred to KU and it's much much more difficult here at KU. Tougher classes, more requirements.

It's amazing how people try to gratify themselves. The energy it takes to do so, usually based of off others success, is laughable. Did any KU fan help win a championship? No. Same goes for any football feat accomplished by Bill Snyder. The fact that KU fans portray themselves as superior is a testament to their lack of character. I'm a K-State alum, fan and now KUMed student. Again, funny how a KU fan that is not going to medical school anywhere attempts to use that as an argument.

I go to Kansas University, and while I really don't care about K-State, there is no joking when I say that KU has better academics, and better athletics. I have a few friends that go to Kansas State, and while calling the entire student body a collective group a hicks is offbase, I must ask why so many Kansas State fans are so homophobic? I don't see outrageous amounts of gays on campus here in Lawrence. The truth of the matter is that KU has less gays than KSU has hicks or dirt judgers.

Hm, I'm pretty sure if he'd wanted to be a doctor he may have gone to KU. That would make too much sense. But on the academics thing, no other public college has more Truman, Goldwater, or Rhodes scholars than KSU in the last 20 years. That should count for something.

KSU people have been making that "rhodes scholars" argument for a long time when it's one of the most widespread lies out there. Yet people like you eat it up as factual.

KU has 24 Rhodes Scholars, more than all other Universities in the state of Kansas COMBINED. I don't know how KU does in the Truman, Marshall, etc scholars, but the thing is, there are many scholarship competitions out there, picking those you want to use in your argument is a poor use of selective statistics.
