@tigerpouy2001 What are you? 12 years old? The man is an entertainer and putting on a show. Little kids like you read too much into things and try to make reality fit your fantasies. People like you usually suck the energy out of everything.
The guitar sounds really cool to me for some reason at 6:06-6:09. I don't know why but it sounds cool. I think it's his tone mixed with whatever effect he has on his guitar.
Hes using a Phase Pedal on his guitar and during parts of his solo hes turning on an Echo I believe... Someone will most likley jump down my throat to correct me though.
Yeah. It sounds awesome. I have a Digitech effects board. Maybe I can try to get my guitar to sound like that. I don't know. Yeah at 5:18 to 5:23 you can definitely hear the phase.
I actually got an mxr phase, thats really a scaled down version of what jimmy has, I also seem to get that sound by using phase, turning the bass up real high on my amp, keeping the distortion around 70% and using the treble position on my guitar, thats the closest I could get with my equiptment.
yea i thought page had a phase 90? what do you think he has? I thought i saw i phase 90 on the stage. I have a sugestion, it depends on your amp but 70% distortion sounds like a bit to much, try 30 or 40% and see how that sounds ^_^
Yeah thats probaly more where page was at, but I dont like to go that low because it starts to sound thin and I dont like the mosquito tone as I call it, lol I pefer a thicker tone.
yea, you gotta have the right amp to have a nice thick sound at low distortion levels. Earlier you said that the phase 90 is a scaled down version of pages phaser. I could be wrong but i though what he had was a phase 90! it seems like he got it in 74 because for one that when it came out and 2 he used it very heavely on Physical grafitti it sounds like. correct me if im wrong though.
Yeah you are right, you never heard the phase untill that album, and never saw it on stage untill 75. They made them bigger in the day I think, but what I have sounds very similiar, If I just turn it up %30 I can get The Rover sort of tone, and if you turn it up more like %60 you can get the NBFBM tone, its a great pedal sounds good, I just always dont always find the situation to use it, unless im just home jamming on my amp lol
yea i got the script phase 90 reissue and its just fantastic. alot of times ill leave it at 12:00 for a leslie speaker sound to makes things more interesting, or all the way down where its real suttle but it gives your sound that phase 90 growl and thats just realy useful!
aw yeah, that filthy fuckin harp solo

bayamrob 3 years ago
Yeah, it's Bonham yelling, but the roadie at the time was Jeff Ocheltree. Bonham's other roadie, Mick Hinton, worked for him prior to that.
