  • I agree it was weird and it wasnt a lot of signing in it...nice try tho

  • I love how you signed disturbia,

I couldn't think of a way to sign it,

    very great !

  • @MissLishha16 Thank you. APpreciate your comment.

  • It's cool to see a ASL music video like always, but the thing is... I just wish this was done more professional. Better quality effects and all. All in all though, its alright. I'm deaf myself by the way :) ASL NEVER DIES!<3

  • @skinheadal Give me $20,000 and we will do it!

  • @vestibeats i like that comeback.

  • Fantastic video!!! The visuals were excellent!

  • the video part was really weird.... sorry...& what' was up w/ the whole cat part? Nice effort though :)

  • @4everahorsescowgirl It's called creativity. You don;t have to like it. You can try and create your own. Let's see if you can do better.

  • I just start to learn ASL recently, am hard of hearing. I can sign some simple words now. I joined a great deaf daing site, ----Deafornot dot c om----, and met some good deaf/HOH friends over there. They help me to learn ASL.

  • In my opinion, the video mood, set, movement, expression and signing captured the "Disturbia" concept well. Personally, I enjoy the captioning, as this promotes exact accessibility to the actual song lyrics, simultaneously presenting signing and acting. I teach English to deaf adults and they appreciate visual access to the English lyrics along with the visuals and signing in the video.

  • Your work is incredible and from your point of view! Keep doing what you're doing. Continue to create!

  • not trying to start anything, just giving my input.

  • I think the people who are downplaying the hard work you put into this are not understanding what you're trying to do.

Point being, if you want to see a signed song, look up asl song interpretations, that's not what this is. This is an asl MUSIC VIDEO.

  • @Catwalksymphony Yeah, I agree. Thanks for seeing that.

  • @Catwalksymphony I agree! It could even be said this song is "Interpreted" because it represents auditory components visually. Thanks for posting!

  • @Catwalksymphony Hard out!!! People who think that are just ignorant, in music videos you don't see the artist continually singing throughout the whole song, just as you don't have to keep signing through an ASL or any sign language music video.

Random Thought- I think it's quite beautiful that the only difference between singing and signing are a swap of the letters 'n' and 'g' =P

  • beautiful

  • I'm in an asl class, and in order to actually be able to be read, I think you need to time your signs better. I could barely keep up with you and you didn't even have much signing. Just a lot of people moving during lyrics.

  • @boogywoogs94 THIS IS A MUSIC VIDEO WITH CREATIVITY AND DIRECTONAL CHOICE, NOT AN ASL HOW-TO! YOU SURELY COME TO THE WRONG PLACE FOR THAT! :-)

  • the captions are there because she sign on parts of the song, its just a different way of portraying the song..i think its creative and different...good job (:

  • Good effort I just didn't like it.

  • I thought so.

  • its a little MUCH at first but i appreciate the effort! i like your videos! i love how u grasped the concepts of the song!

  • Why should you feel insulted when our crew who are deaf and hard of hearing making videos accessible for people like YOU? I have an idea, why don't YOU produce a better music video than this one. Look around you and tell me if there are any music videos produced by hard working talents who volunteered their time and effort.

  • are YOU even really deaf?

    this video sucks.

this is a REALLY BAD way to help deaf people read.

i am deaf and i feel completely insulted.

  • Next time, please do not make an ass out of yourself assuming we aren't deaf, Not like you who don't appreciate but rant and rave without suggesting. Too bad if you hate this video. It ain't for you! SMH I look forward to your video! Show me!

  • That was really...really weird. I agree that more ASL and less captions would have been nice...the acting was really good in itself..but it was strange. I supposed disturbing. Which is probably what you were going for. hmmm good job then.. it was very disturbing lol

  • I think your videos are alright, but I would rather see it entirely signed and less reliance on captions to get the information.

  • These are amazing. So glad my friend pointed them out!

I saw in your responses to other comments that you're thinking about future projects with more complete translations of the lyrics, and maybe without the captions? It would be great to even have a separate version without the captions distracting. I know I'm not the main audience (signing but hearing) - just a thought.

Regardless, this is an awesome project, and I look fowrard to what you do next!

  • Thanks for your feedback and glad you appreciate our videos. Your comments are important to us.

  • I love the video it's really good and you ave GREAT legs lol n ur cat was pretty hot too lol but either way I love what you're doing for the deaf community you might want to look up D-PAN if you haven't already they're a non-profit org. who also make music for all people not just all hearing people. they don't have many videos but they travel and do rally's all that kinda stuff. n the videos that they do have are AWESOME but again you're video was REALLY good too

  • Thank you. yeah, I know d-pan and saw some of their work. They got good stuff going.

  • I really appreciate what you are doing. I had no idea the deaf appreciated music (my fault for being ignorant) but now I understand. I would also like to see the videos with the signing all the way through. Thank you

  • Thank you. Glad you can appreciate something most took for granted.

  • lol rihanna better watch herself!

  • I have to say I like this video much better than Rhianna's version!

  • Yeah? How come?

  • To be honest, I think you capture the overall meaning of the song much better than Rhianna does. Thank you for posting this and I am looking forward to seeing the other versions of this video.

  • Hey, thank you, Robertg.

  • I think it should have had more signing. Showing parts without signs and just captions is just not cool; I think its almost rude. We can hear the music all the time but only seeing some sign at some parts and having to read just doesnt work for me. I maybe hearing but I still rely on sign for me to communicate. I dont like not being able to see signing thought out the whole song.

  • I have two other versions. One of the version of the talent is signing completely. I haven't put that up yet. When I do, I will. I suggest you subscribe. When I put it up, you will get the notification. Usually, I like to have versions because, some people prefer signing all the way, some prefer the visual video, some prefer mixed, and it's always good to know what others like or do not like. *Thumbs up for your feedback!* :-)

  • Oh cool. that works. lol. sorry didnt mean to comment twice just hit the buttin twice. well i cant wait to see the other wone. this one is really cool thought. :)

  • I hear ya. Your comment is duly noted. :-)

  • This is absolutely incredible. GREAT JOB YOU GUYS!

  • Thank you. Will tell that to my talent who participated.
