Having just beaten the game with only Lyn and Hector (a bit unfair for the enemies), I can say that Lyn is probably the mother of Lilina. Mostly due to the fact that Lyn is still with Hector after the credits.
I always thought Lyndis was meant to be with the tactician, aka You.
I mean even after disregarding the whole "she found you at the beginning and took care of you" story cliches, but rather...She, like the Tactician were both created specifically for the first North America release of the FE game as an introduction to the Western audiences.
Both characters are never heard of again in the chronology of the later games because they didn't HAVE to exist. Their canon ended in a single game.
I do believe in LynxRath. Partly since that kind of makes sense since Sue have some similarities with Lyn. If you also have seen the secret ending when it is 15 years later when Roy first met Lilina so seem Lilina kind of shy first which reminds me of Florina. So, what I'm thinking is EliwoodxNinian, HectorxFlorina and LynxRath.
@058875915 In FE6, two members of Fir's family are shown. Her father, Bartre, and her uncle, Karel. (Both of them appear in FE7.) Karel is shown to have a sister in FE7 (who by the way is Karla). And since obviously he doesn't seem to be a blood relative of Bartre's, the scenario in which Lyn is Fir's mother is downright impossible.
@058875915 Same hair color? No. Fir's hair is black while Lyn's is green. Similar facial shape? Maybe it's because of the fact that they're both half-Sacaean? (Fir's other half is Western Islander while Lyn's other half is Caelinese-Lycian. Although Karla does mention that her tribe weren't originally Sacaean, they still sorta count as such.) Sorta the same class? Because they have family members that specialize in swordplay. (Hassar for Lyn's case and Karel and Karla for Fir's case.)
@OscarHult Sure, there are similarities but the more obvious choice for Fir's parents are Karla and Bartre. A more rivalry love but it makes more sense if you've seen Karla and Bartre's ending.
Mh. I think the only one I like is LynxHector. I mean, Eliwood should stay with Ninian. ^^ They're so cute! And I don't like much Kent or Rath. Though I think that the official pairing is LynxRath (there are their sons in FE6).
In recent times I've come to dislike the Rath X Lyn pair. I wasn't really that much of a fan of it. I've sorta liked it but I grew indifferent to it once I had a playthrough with Hector X Lyn. (Lyn and Hector suit each other, what can I say? And he does have the most interaction with her.) But certain fans' opinions made me dislike Rath X Lyn.
@LittleAl016 I agree with you, I think Lyn and Hector suit each other, Folilna and Rath suit each other, Sheeda and Eliwood suit each other and last but not least Eirika and Marth suit each other.

To be honest, Lyn looks good with any of the guys. I just support FlorinaXHector and NinianXEliwood, so that leaves Kent and Rath. Personally, I like RathXLyn.
Anyway, he seems to be the only one that gets Lyn's attention in the beginning. XD
you might be right. I just the time's I did play the game I did support Florina/Hector & Lyn/Eliwood. I'll try the other pairngs in some other run when I get to do it
