  • What tuning are u in :)

  • Perfect!

  • 0:27 is it me or did the dog just wink at the camera?

  • So much power in that sound nice riffs dude!

  • 0:29 That's such a heavy rhythm dude.

  • ugh i want the tabs for this so bad!!! i'd kill for the tabs!

  • Why do so many guitar players on you tube insist on sitting when they jam?...I have to stand up and play!

  • the only thing that I don't like here is the snare sound.

  • Comment removed

  • how to get this instrumental Feared album?..im from Malaysia

  • I hear a bit of slipknot in there ;)

  • @andreistoc Yes the only slipknot there is the guitar.

  • WTF. Left overs? ... I'll cry in my musical weakness.

  • what tuning is this if you dont mind me asking. I have a 7 string but i want to update my six's tuning for new shit. Thankyou for any help given \m/\m/

  • @BornIntoAshes His six strings are Drop Bb (Bb-F-Bb-Eb-G-C) and his seven strings are tuned a half-step down (Bb-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb)

  • @ILuvIbanezGuitars No. The Sevens are standard E with the low B and Sometimes low A.

  • @AzArAzA95 Ah ok then my mistake

  • @ILuvIbanezGuitars sometimes Ola uses Cstd, Drop Bb, Bstd and now in his stricly signature he uses Drop A

  • @grazianism oh right i was only making an assumption from what i've seen i don't actually know for sure so thanks for carifying things

  • @ILuvIbanezGuitars you're welcome :)

  • dude I envy you for both things... Your AMP and Your Dog !!! Bullterriers are such a badass thing !!! reminds me Spuds Mackenzie hahahaha keep up the good work

  • you have very unique riffs so fucking melodic!

do you have the bass track of this song?

  • @TheFBM2011 the riffs in that one werent exactly melodic to be honest. this one is mostly a rythmic thing if you ask me!

  • nice! but i got to say 4:42 total rip off of Lamb of God...

  • @musikmini1996 I know exactly what you mean. Coincidence of course.

  • 3 people's heads exploded from awesomeness, they couldn't take it, so they decided to dislike, and their whole bodies exploded from one thing...

    No one can dislike Fearedse

    :)

  • Did you tune down a fourth to B or is that a baritone guitar?

  • next lamb of god

  • @TheMidnightskyallure

psssht, this passes lamb of god

  • damn that thing has a nasty tone

  • ive been looking for this tone forever... i need a savage :O

  • i play mostly rythym and i need a cheap good sounding amp that sounds similar to this one... what amp would be best for me?

  • Where can I download this amazing song?!?!

  • this is amazing dude..wow

  • OMG!!! THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF THE BEST SOUNDING AMPS I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!

  • Which settings were you using in the OD pedal? Amazing tone!

  • @MrGuitarMadness95 he didn't use an OD pedal in this video..

  • Just listening to these sick riffs is enough to make my day a lot better.

  • It's hard to tell if this is what it will actually sound like when I plug in and play. That's why I think you shouldn't run the amp through the computer and edit the sound. But feel enlightened to tell me how i'm wrong for saying this though. (No disrespect intended)

  • @lildude234 Of course it would not sound like this. You mean withouth the cab impulses? reverb on lead and so on :) But it has a serious and brutal sound. That is a promise. And it is probarly one of the best live high gain amps around!

  • Hey Ola, are you ever going to do a video for an Engl Invader? I assume you probably have gotten this question a million times, so sorry for asking such a monotonous question. If you aren't then would you be able to give me a little insight to which amp would be better suited for a full, yet twangy sound for djent-style playing?

  • @RyanPullin tele with hotrails + savage would be THE djent sound i think.

  • Forgive me dear Ola. For i have listened to this song on 240 p!

  • That dog is like wtf

  • @GuitarAvenger1 maybe you dont believe but cats and dogs are good to music :D

  • Legendary solo...soo epic!

  • That is probably the cutest dog I've ever seen

  • any tabs please??? worth trying out with a 7 string,,,,,,,

  • @stathis169 go to olaenglund D O T com, he posted a download link for guitar pro tabs there. look for forever old tabs.

  • I love your dog ^^

  • Are you Jerry Cantrell? can't see.... face....

  • kiss for bosse

  • Are you using the Mackie Onyx Blackjack USB Recording Interface or a Mackie Onyx mixing desk/other in this video?

  • fuggin love the intro. plus, this is my dream amp. best video on youtube..?

  • Man...The clean tone on these opening chords is just hauntingly good! I want an ENGL!

  • Do you hear much difference in the ENGL Savage 60 vs the ENGL Savage 120? And do you think those options on the 120 are necessary?

  • i fucking love the intro, it's so melodic and relaxing.

  • Dude thats so brutal wish i had a set up that sounded so intense!

  • hallo, thanks for all videos!

    which of ENGLs you prefer?

  • @dazdn1k hes going to say Savage!

  • That ESP is Fuckin nice

  • Hey! Great Vids! What amp would to suggest for a metal player, but getting a college degree in jazz and classical music. Savage 120 or Powerball 2? Thanks keep it up!

  • Titties! thats all I have to say man! Tight ones. You got chops from other shit ive seen on this shithole of vids on youtube of other players hahahahha

  • Fuck! That tone very nearly had me blowing my beans on my computer! I need to try an ENGL now!

  • Sound good now try it standing up.

  • @Meatalhalic challenge excepted

  • @ApostlesArtist uh oh :-O

  • lol Dog: Bosse

  • Are you the producer of sct. anger, or what? xD

  • Comment removed

  • how many amps and guitars do you have ? You must be fucking rich

  • your dog is awesome.

  • Sometimes when I dream, I'm running into the arms of this amp =l

  • Hi Ola! I own an Engl Savage 120 and I actually need to change all the tubes: which ones do you advise me to buy? Where can I get them?

Thanks, greetings and congrats for all of your amp demos/compositions.

  • @TizianaCimmi oh man. what happened since you need to change them all?

  • love the riffs in this one. do you have any lyrics or a version with vocals? Thanks!

  • i've watched a couple of your videos, AND YOU'RE A FUCKING BEAST. I have 2 questions if you don't mind

    1)Ibanez RGD-7 or Schecter Loomis 7?

2)What is the best amp in your opinion that you have tested?

    \m/

  • What is this song called? If it isn't a song yet, will it be on the new album?

  • @mexvj It's on the instrumental Feared album due 2012

  • @fearedse

Seriously? If tis is sarcasm I'll be sad.

  • the drums sound absolutely brutal.

  • crazy fucking insane skills man

    i cant get enough \m/

  • how do(did) you like these two guitars?

  • so obviously you're a knowledgeable guy when it comes to the tech stuff... I play modern high-gain-type music, but I often call for a good clean tone. I'm on a budget, but need suggestions as for a first Head and Cab, (preferably tube for the head.) I know this is a vague request, but some sort of a lead would help. Thanks dude!

  • @Sketch95 depends what part of the world your in but how about a EVH5150?

  • @Sketch95 Bugera 333XL (straight crushing power) or 6262 (more versatile but still manly as all shit.)

  • @TheNotDone the other way around man, the 333xl is the one with sparkly cleans, crunchy rock tones and a brutal metal sound, while the 6262 simply blows you out of your socks!

  • @Sketch95 Randall RT-100, tube, gain, budget.

  • I've never been able to decide... Always wanted an ENGL though. So, in your opinion Ola, between this and the Powerball which is better? Which can do more raw stuff better? [and also, have you ever gotten to test an Invader?]

Regardless, love wathcing your tests and stuff. Always nice to hear, there's not many good players on YT who actually can dial in a good tone with these metal amps, and play something helpful. So, awesome stuff!

  • Ola style!

I didnt know left overs can sound this awesome!!!

As I recall, it usually was something like: " Mom, is there anything for dinner? - Yes dear, you have some launch leftovers in the fridge. Please do use the micro wave, dont eat them cold."

Dude.... you are the micro wave! :) I mean this in a good way. No offense ;)

  • i LOVE little riffs like the one at 0:33 during songs :D makes it sound so much cooler :D

  • man oh man.... this was such an EPIC video bro!!!! keep doing what you do... I LOVE THIS AMP!!!! my dream set up: MTM1 w/ SD Blackouts / ENGL Savage Head / [either ENGL Cabinet or Mesa Cabinet]..... ahhhhh inspiring video. im going to start saving up for my dream set up bro.... METAL 4 LIFE.

  • @dickhwang bout $3,000 bro, but, itll be freakin amazing when u get it.

  • fuck thats some clean tone and playing man. I jelly

  • This is such a bad ass sound, imo it's the best sounding tone in metal. And I think I've listened to all your videos a billion times, I do on a regular basis haha. btw, I hear this noise that sounds like the seatbelt off noise in an airplane in this song and I was wondering what that is?

  • What tuning did you have you're guitar in when playing that song ?

  • @ESPLTDSMITHY C with a drop Bb

  • Excellent sound man! I look forward to all your videos and have learned a great deal from both your drum and guitar tutorials. Any tips on getting the kick and the gallop to sit so well together in the mix? Is it just making the two things occupy different frequencies so they don't cancel each other out or is it something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated! \m/

  • I second the Peavey 3120 test. Please do one, I wanna see what you can do with my amp!

  • A lot of the Engls sound vintage, but with more gain than Marshalls. I assume Blackstar amps are very similar in this respect.

  • @ThomasMetal75 a powerball or fireball is nothing vintage @ all, but mostt of them can do a vintage kind of sound. don't agree on the marshall part, an engl is waaaay tighter and more brutal!

  • @givemeajackson Well duh Engl is more tight and edgier sounding than Marshall! I don't know how to put it exactally, but I just think there is something Marshall to the sound. But it's not enough to say Engls are Marshall on steroids. Can we at least agree that Krank and Randalls wishes they sounded as good as any Engl out there?!?

  • @ThomasMetal75 also i think that the engl has a more compact kind of distortion. it's like the ultimative opposite of fuzz. krank is pretty good actually, i personally like them couse of their jr series. should become standard to make low-wattage versions of 100watt heads. still, nothing i ever played came close to my blackmore, excep other engls ( the morse is a beast btw!). but i'd like to try out a fortin natas, could be THE amp i think.

  • What software do you use in editing your videos?

  • great sound man!what mic did you use for this video? thanks

  • @guitar4choice Shure SM57

  • The music is tough but you're able to make it breathe, and it's essential, and very delightful.

    Please don't stop this, it's awesome !

  • would u recommend MTM2 ?

  • did you sell that esp or did you just borrow it? because i have never seen you using it again

  • @GrunesMannchen sold it shortly after... they had this clearance sale at ESP dealer in sweden so they were selling out guitars cheap!

  • @fearedse ok. btw, what tuning is this song in? iwanna learn it

  • bro, in a weird way...your dog looks just like you, kinda freaks me out, awesome tune btw :D

  • Dude, this amp is bad! Awesome playing too man!

  • You should test a Peavey 3120. I have one and would like your opinion. Also, you should test out cabs and see which one is best with each head.

  • the mtm2 is neck thru with emty blackouts right?

  • @cdavis2021 mtm2 is bolt on, and ola uses the earlier version with ibanez v8 and v8 pickups!

  • that last riff is insane well done bro !!!

  • holy shit is that all amp??

  • @cdavis2021 yup

  • 2 Dislike'rs are probably laney users

  • @rohanclassic paul gilbert and mikael akerfeldt use laney, be carefull on laneys! some of them can actually kick balls!

  • @givemeajackson Model names please.....

  • @rohanclassic i don't know a lot about laney, but i once played an ironheart and it sounded pretty brutal. mikeal uses a vh 100 i think, paul played gh100 till 2007 when he became marshall endorser.

  • tabs please!!!! or video I love this song

  • is that an Ibanez MTM-2?

  • @13daviscj it sure is dude, its ola's most used guitar

  • @pukepal really? cuz i was thinking about getting one of those. theyre awesome!

  • @13daviscj go for it, there not overly priced unless you get the actual red one which i believe is around $1000, I think this one only costs $600-$800

  • I unfavorited this and favorited it again just so it could be at the top of my list :D still my favorite tone of yours after over a year

  • Dude, the fact that you captured such an awesome tone JUST with a Shure SM57 is nuts....

  • st.anger snare? ;D

  • do you use any effect or distortion pedals?

  • Dood that tone is amazing and I really dig you're bands stuff. I was just wondering if you've ever used an engl fireball 100. I'm planning on using it to record my bands new album. Do you think we would be able to get a tone similar to this?

  • @FuelForFire87 I have never tried one but I probably will soon. I have no doubt though that it's an awesome amp!

  • @fearedse My band is called Legions Of Raum and we have a few songs posted on youtube. My name is Shaun and I'm the lead guitarist

  • 0.58 how did you do that sound? it sounds like you push a floyd rose down. Did you released the string in de first fret from a bend?

  • @metalgear8000

    Probably just a whammy pedal

  • @ESPsandEmgs well i dont know, in the gear he use, there is no whammy pedal =/

  • @metalgear8000 Just how he muted the strings, im pretty sure the only thing he uses is a maxon boost.

  • @blockstar2013 i was right, i did a recording and pushed my palm on the strings as close as possible to the bridge but on a way the strings mute enough, how lower your tuning how better the effect (y)

  • @metalgear8000 I actually didnt read the last part of your initial question, with the first fret bend. That makes sense.

  • @blockstar2013 yeah :p

  • 2 people failed at life and hit the dislike button.....

  • 3:40 fuck the kitchen fire, i need to record the clean part

  • do you thing esp or ibanez is better?

  • Wow, Your tone is fucking immense, I half to ask, does the Engl Savage have the same upper-mids as the Rectos?I'm just lovin that djenty fluid chunk your getting out of it.

  • any chance you doing a fireball 60w or 100w vid?

  • This is so fucking sick man, just came across this after seeing one of your videos with the Dime amp. Can't stop replaying this shit. Heavy as fuck.

  • i need to hear that savage in a playthrough

thumbs up if you feel something equal XD

  • What tuning?

  • God I love these videos... I watch them for the songs alot of the time.

  • what kind of dog is that?

  • @ac1013dc a English Bull Terrier

  • Nice sound....like 7string guitar or baritone...

What is the tune and how size have your string's ?

  • @TheSic23 he uses daddario 12-60 gauge...

  • @TheSic23 he is in drop b flat as well...

  • WHY IS THIS NOT ON YOUR ALBUM!!! this song kicks so much ass the into is brutal a shit! awesome job

  • Jeg er norsk, men fant noen Savage-topper på blocket! Tror jeg skal gå til innkjøp! >=) Kung demo!

  • you sir are an inspiration, i can't stop watching your videos, your music is fucking divine. Please keep doing what you are doing... i must have listened to this and the DAR version like 15 times in the past 2 days haha from 4:03 gives me the fuckin chills

  • what gauge strings do you use? they sound so tight and fat like a virgin BBW.

  • The Savage owns the DAR... The DAR is AMAZING...but this is on a whole new level

  • the savage sounds better than the DAR.

  • How close is this to the actual sound of the amp? I know you do a lot of post-processing, so I just want to know if the amp sounds this fucking amazing in person.

  • @Razzy123 yeah, it sounds pretty much like here on this record. i tried it some weeks ago, amazing amp!

  • @Paduddel Good to know. I'm going to be picking one of these up, as well as a Fireball 60, as soon as my drums sell. :)

  • I like how, at the end, his house is CLEARLY on fire, and he just keeps playing.

  • Awesome tone, awesome playing. Next amp is gonna be between the Savage, Dual Rec and the 5150/6505. Just haven't played em yet. Your videos surely make a case for the Savage though

  • this sounds so good im learning it by ear atm

  • That little run you do at 4:41 seems Lamb of God-ish. I like it.

  • what tuning man this sounds sick!!!!!

  • @Deanguitarman123 i believe its drop Bb

  • is the start not basically a meshuggah song? HA... just something a noticed... obviously he's changed it. but still... basically the same..

  • @Mikeymoomah well it's actually the bleed gallop but reversed. and slower :D
