If personhood begins at conception, then have the mother of the unborn child file for "Voluntary Termination of Parental Rights". The fetus would become a "ward of the state", and the state would have to take custody of the fetus. So abortion would still be legal!
Yes it is narrow in that it is about Human Life. And women still have the same choices as men when it comes to if one wants to copulate or not. Human life starts at conception and the science is fully backing that up. So the fear mongering by the ACLU will not stop but in regard to stem cells research shows that no fetal cells are needed as adult ones are the same and don't seem to turn cancerous like the fetal ones.
@rusty2029 No a human life does not start with a heart beat and this is medically accurate. A collection of cells is not a person no matter what you say, the medical definition of alive is human frontal lobe activity, to a certain degree. Otherwise it would be murder to kill a person who is brain dead but their heart is still beating (persistent vegetative state). It might be killing, but it isn't murder and it shouldn't be.
