  • amazing song

  • This is awsome! Cheech and Chong are the shit. Pioneers of marijuana comedy. Even today being 60 years old or better they are still funnier than ever. The greatest duo act to ever hit America in my personal opinion. When you look at what they are doing in today's time and with all the reunion tours and everything it shows us that Cheech and Chong are....STILL SMOKING!!!!

  • I still have the 45 single record, which I bought the year it came out. I still find it

    hilarious. My kids love it!

  • god this is a great movie with a random as fuck song. haha stoners.

  • Soundgarden had the best cover this.

  • I think the original version with the kid and his dad was only on a 45rpm record... I've got it buried somewhere

  • Does anyone know where I can download the actual movie version of this song? Or Is the original version actually done by Korn?!

  • @WHOOPSIES420 no...the original version is cheech and chong...og punk

  • @WHOOPSIES420 dude, Korn's members were probably 5+- years old when this shit came out. Come on.

  • @Blackzeppdog89 well excuse me.

  • even though it's a mock rock song, you have to admit that guiitar riff is fucking awesome

  • LOL FAR OUT

  • this is the answer to sickness lol

  • Wanted to hear the comedy bit between Cheech and Tommy. Hit #9 in Billboard. God bless!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, man. I always thought that part where he say's, I ONLY OWN THREE CARS, and I just found out that what he actually say's is ".know three chords." Bummer.

If you are still reading this then I will say that when I was a kid , it seemed everybody had a Cheech & Chong record or two. So anybody know where I can hear the classic comedy where Chong yells out ; "Daddy! You broke my record, man." would be very much appreciated. I just can't F?$*'en find it man.

  • i could send you the song were he says you broke my record if you want

  • @Ellipser Cheech & Chong's Wedding Album. Earache My Eye.

  • i have the Rollins Band version of this on 7" vinyl!

  • I used to jam this on the dr.demento show back in the 80's.can you post both parts of that 45 of this you have.

  • I have the original 45 single of Earache my Eye. The b side is called "Turn that Thing Down", which is an instrumental of the song by Alice Bowie!

    High heeled sneakers?!?

  • skits on Cheech & Chongs Wedding Album, skit is called Earache my eye, and it starts out with the kid listening to this song... In a nutshell a kid (Cheech) plays hooky from school his Dad (Chong) comes up to get him and he says hes sick, he has an earache, Chong goes earache my eye, and the rest is history.. INcluding the famous line when he beats chongs ass, what are you trying to do , tickle me...

    Cheech and Chong RULE!!!!

  • @wyldweezl

"Earache my eye! How would you like a BUTTache!" (That's right, folks; they actually said the B-word on '70s-era radio ---and the FCC let 'em get by with it!)

"Tickle you! I'll tickle you!" (After some spanking:) "Come on! Laugh it up, funny boy!"

  • i can't believe he still does that XD

  • lol i saw this skit live

  • They need to re-release this recording! I would buy it today :-)

  • Dude, I have this on CD. "Cheech an Chong's Greatest Hit". Amazon has the whole disk on sale in mp3 format for $10. Buy all 12 tracks!

  • sounds like funk, not punk. either way, it's a very good song.

  • hell no....this is totally punk!!! a bit of funk as well... whatever it is...if fucking rocks...i guess its stoner rock haha

  • Punk with funk horns.

  • @timninerell sounds like funk, not punk

True, but back then anything was possible musically with "Punk". Unlike the teeny bop, uniformed, trendy bullshit goin' on nowadays. This is STILL more punk than any of that wannabe punk garbage Green Day, pulls out of their asses.

  • i <3 dis song

  • mam talkin' 2 me tryna tell how 2 live!!!

  • seen them live in toledo ohio, i think in78 or 79 good time im sure high

  • 1978 midnight movies up in smoke - first real comedy, the best! Howling Wolf

  • Wheres the original version where some kid is listening to this song and his dad walks in.

  • GODS. and the phrase "Oh, rip my shirt, how cliche' , " from Los Cochinos album 'Pedro and the Man at the Drive-In' , no matter how fey, has cracked me up for....... sheit! 35 years!!

  • Rush actually plays the main riff to this song at the end of some their songs live

  • OMG! I havent heard that for 30 years...what memories. "Im so bloody rich and I only know 3 chords" LOL

  • If only I looked that good in a pink tutu!

  • My dad has this song on an album somewhere. I love that line earache my eye how would you like a butt ache!

  • my first love used to air guitar this song all the time. i never saw the clip til 20 years later and i recognized it immediately. i hope i will always remember how funny he was and how much he liked to sing. RIP Howard.

  • Cheech and Chong were some badasses back then and still are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sieve,, my head is like a sieve. (full of holes)

  • yeah that too

  • Oh gosh I remember them on WAYE radio stereo AM in Baltimore in the 70s, lol.

  • Right on....

  • awesome voice, but it looks like he

s not even playing the guitar

  • That's because at the time Cheech couldn't play guitar, still funny anyhow.

  • Yeah, when I heard Cheech joined them in the studio to record it I was like, 'WTFZOMG!!!!' ҚσЯη's cover is insanely heavy.

  • @xboxkid111 good one, indeed so did soundgarden...it's also great

  • who wrote earache my eye?

  • cheech marin

  • It was actually Gaye Delorme and Cheech.

  • gaye delorme is the fuckin dude!

  • a young cheech;;;;cannot go wrong!!!

  • we need more music like this so we can go one

    on one against the world

  • No wonder I couldn't figure out which style of music this was...... I NEVER HAD A SISTER!!!!.... lol..... any other suggestions? = )

  • this is punk rock with horns

  • lol not even like Punk.

this is like metal/rock with horns.

lyrics maybe punky but not the music

  • no it is really like punk rock with horns, the music is definitely like many old school punk bands well minus the solos.

  • i dunno man its too rocky to be punk for me anyway

  • Does anybody know of more music that sounds like this? Like 70's rock with heavy guitars, disco-style drum patterns (with cowbells) and trumpets??? I've heard a couple of songs before that sounded like this but couldn't find out who sang them. Something like "Jungle Boogie", but with a rock guitar... Is there a name for this style of music? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...

  • It's called "drop acid, huff glue, cross-dress, fuck your sister" music. My favorite.

  • This song always reminded me of Frank Zappa, during his progressive rock period. You might try the 70's albums Apostrophe, Overnight Sensation, and Bongo Fury.

  • Possibly "hang the Bastard" by Cannibal the musical? :)

  • @villaking1978 "Frankenstein" by Edgar Winter

  • lol time to dig out my C & C cd's & put Up In Smoke in DVD player.

Still have all their old LP's too

  • korn sucks dude.

  • Agreed, Korn's version is shit.

  • @R32skater FUCK KORN FUCK YOU LMAO ACTUALLY KORN DID THIS WITH CHEECH MARIN

  • Is that Blind Melon Chitlin'? wooo!

  • Cheech is a total HAM LMAO

  • George Harrison played the lead guitar on this. The original grunge master.

  • really? thats awesum!

  • No, he played the lead on Basketball Jones, he's even credited on the Los Cochinos LP. Studio musicians played this song.

  • Thank you I stand corrected. It was Basketball Jones. Those were some hazy days! LOL

  • You know there's not alot of the 80's I can remember but the 70's I can cos I was a kid and not filling the bong, that would come in 1979. But I LOVED C&C from 1974 and bought thier LPs until 1980. Hey I'm gonna put one on now ! Bludrums there's nothing wrong with being hazy !

  • Funny!

  • They both have said that a new movie will be most likely coming out in the near future

  • THEY SHOULD MAKE ONE MORE MOVIE!

  • That was only the musical part, what happened to the 2nd half, where tommy chong and cheech marin talk out the "i'm not goin' to school" part, this was okay, but for you younger folks, u miss the continuity of the comedy of the whole thing

  • Please suggest some similar artist,I'm just a bit slow on the uptake but we try. :)

  • this is awesome! korn's version is good too. this version is hilarious, but korn's version is good because fieldy's voice sounds so cool! nice vid!

  • actually its only fieldy's voice when its live, Cheech Marin did geust vocals for that song on the recorded versions

  • Korn didn't record this song till 20 years later.I like the metal (Korn) version more. This isn't a bad renedition of the song. And yes I know these guys did the song first.

  • i didnt even know korn covered this.... i havent heard it but i guarantee it cant top this original...

  • yea right ballsack.

  • A band called Scatterbrain covers it well.

  • no it aint.

  • Considering Cheech does it with Korn, I think its just as good. But the original will always be a classic!

  • good yes, but a classic is a classic and no matter who covers it, regardless of what song, it'll never b as good

  • FAR OUT MAN!!
