  • @dejavucw Yes, there seems to be a mixture of Bahasa Indonesia and Minang dialect. But this is how I learned it from a young friend I met in Bukittinggi. The older generation would probably say "induak".

  • wow great raymond.. just one correction for text "Ibu, ayah, adiak sadonyo", it supposed to be "Induak, ayah, adiak sadonyo"...

    induak means ibu.. but in minangkabau they used to say "induak" but induak can not use when u call ur mother...

    hmm it a little bit difficult to explain with my limited english..hope u can understand it :)

  • @Eviyurnita I'm sure you're right, but this is the way I learned it from a young lady in Minangkabau, who wrote the words out for me. If I'd got it from someone of an older generation, they probably would have put "Induak" instead of "Ibu". Thanks for your information.
