gotta say they nailed the design on this car, especially the coupe. I didn't think they'd ever come close to the 96-99 GTS model but this one is close. Granted the ACR lapped the burg faster than the CCx but the CCX is way more stable at speeds the Viper can only dream of (240+)plus it has been mentioned the the CCX really needs a rear wing because it has no downforce. The brakes are a bit mushy and the car leans but that is because the suspension is kind of soft to enhance stabilty at 200+

A koenigsegg BASE is 540,000 before taxes and they go up to 900,000 for the faster ones. A viper is 90,000 and you can get one for 80,000 or less with discounts. You're off by about a half million dollars.
HE HAS A POINT!!! viper engines will last as long as any other if taken care of like any car should be. PLUS no one is gonna buy a car with a 30K ONLY motor because most people will drive that much in 6mths to a year if its a daily driver.

Try to learn some basic facts about the Viper. It was made as a racing car for tracks in early 90's and new viper is its brother. So Dodge doesnt spend much money for interior crap and be honest I like it as it is. Materials used are tough and gives you a racing car feeling. And by the way, Im quite sure that next viper will get much precise interior. Just compare old viper to 08 model. Is much more civilized.

My 2008 ACR is much improved in every way compared to my old 2006 convertible. Not sure where people are hearing that these are 'stripped out', but mine has A/C, full carpeting, floor mats, GPS, Satellite radio etc. There is an option for radio-delete, but that's it. They all come with A/C.
It gets tons of looks wherever it goes. No regrets here, baby!

You're missing the point. Viper is not meant to compete with a GT-R on a twisted track. Look at them overall.
Viper is a monster. When you buy this kinda cars, that's what you want. unlike GT-R which is an everyday car, although its very fast. Viper looks, sounds, and accelerates more like a supercar.
Wait what are you talking about? The viper corners a HELL OF ALOT BETTER than the GTR. It holds more Gs, faster slalom times and is alot faster on tracks then the GTR, the GTR just got its ass handed to it by the Viper ACR in one lap of america it wasnt even within 10 secs on any of the 15 race tracks in the event. Hell the Viper just beat the GTR by 6 seconds around button willow (in a configuration with alot of turns and no long straights) on the nurburgring the viper acr would waste the GTR.
Learn about cars before you speak.... Yes the GTR is more daily driver friendly it has AWD, traction control, stability control, its an automatic, hell itll practically drive itself, doesnt make it handle better. Once again learn before you speak.

But otherwise, the average driver will do much better with a GT-R.
The ACR had a lot of upgrades before it did that time on the ring. Without those, its a 7:59, just above R33.
Um I have to disagree, I will agree with you the viper is more of a drivers car built for people with better driving experinece but thats a moot point.
And no the viper ACR didnt have alot of upgrades the only thing that was added was a 5 point harness which is needed to run on the ring. A completely bone stock ACR ran 7:22 in half a day, in 5 laps, and with only 100,000 dollars of support.

Second the Viper ACR comes from the factory with fully adjustable KW coil overs. The article featured in Motortrend stated that both Viper ACRs that were brought by SRT engineers were bone stock other then the racing harness.

Try to learn some basic facts about the Viper. It was made as a racing car for tracks in early 90's and new viper is its brother. So Dodge doesnt spend much money for interior crap and be honest I like it as it is. Materials used are tough and gives you a racing car feeling. And by the way, Im quite sure that next viper will get much precise interior. Just compare old viper to 08 model. Is much more civilized.

My 2008 ACR is much improved in every way compared to my old 2006 convertible. Not sure where people are hearing that these are 'stripped out', but mine has A/C, full carpeting, floor mats, GPS, Satellite radio etc. There is an option for radio-delete, but that's it. They all come with A/C.
It gets tons of looks wherever it goes. No regrets here, baby!

Guys guys guys, the Mustang is a Muscle car, I guess the Vette is too cuz it's got a big v8 in it, but the Viper is deff. a supercar. It's known around the world as one of the coolest America has to offer, and is amazingly cheap for the power and performance it offers. 8.4L V10 power baby!

You're missing the point. Viper is not meant to compete with a GT-R on a twisted track. Look at them overall.
Viper is a monster. When you buy this kinda cars, that's what you want. unlike GT-R which is an everyday car, although its very fast. Viper looks, sounds, and accelerates more like a supercar.
I take a viper over a GT-R any day.

Wait what are you talking about? The viper corners a HELL OF ALOT BETTER than the GTR. It holds more Gs, faster slalom times and is alot faster on tracks then the GTR, the GTR just got its ass handed to it by the Viper ACR in one lap of america it wasnt even within 10 secs on any of the 15 race tracks in the event. Hell the Viper just beat the GTR by 6 seconds around button willow (in a configuration with alot of turns and no long straights) on the nurburgring the viper acr would waste the GTR.

I don't claim to know everything, but I think I know what I'm talking about here.
Viper is definitely quicker through the corners, but that is only when it is handed to a very professional driver. Its actually turns a lot sharper then a GT-R.
But otherwise, the average driver will do much better with a GT-R.
The ACR had a lot of upgrades before it did that time on the ring. Without those, its a 7:59, just above R33.
Again, I would take the Viper over GT-R anyday.

Um I have to disagree, I will agree with you the viper is more of a drivers car built for people with better driving experinece but thats a moot point.
And no the viper ACR didnt have alot of upgrades the only thing that was added was a 5 point harness which is needed to run on the ring. A completely bone stock ACR ran 7:22 in half a day, in 5 laps, and with only 100,000 dollars of support.

Um I dont know where your getting your information but no, the viper has 600HP and dynos at 540+HP at the wheels bonestock. So 460 your talking about Gen2 vipers from 1996-2002.
Second the Viper ACR comes from the factory with fully adjustable KW coil overs. The article featured in Motortrend stated that both Viper ACRs that were brought by SRT engineers were bone stock other then the racing harness.
