My Mother wanted Abide With Me played at her funeral so this is the version we used when she passed away. It is just beautiful and haunting and although Mum hadn't heard this version I know she would have loved it.

I want to say thank you for sharing this song with us. This song is so beautiful, and I can't believe it was made in 1847. So long ago and still so many who love this song. Music really is timeless. And I love Hayley Westenra's voice, I think she makes this song even more beautiful and gives it more meaning. It goes straight to my heart.

Westenra's voice is perfect for this song. I love how it's sung with minimal accompaniment and no back-up singers (like so many other versions I'ver heard). This is the most beautiful rendition of this hymn I've heard so far.

Thank you for sharing this song. I love Hayley Westenra and this hymn. She truly captures the plea and spirit of the hymn. I love this. I can feel the Spirit of God through this interpretation.

It saddens me when I hear such sweet melodious hymns, but even more opening my eyes to search for the truth that was hidden from us. We are so conditioned that we close off our ears to the ugliness done to humanity, by saving sinners. My partner passed Jan 27, 2007, we told each other two yrs. before whomever went first would let the other know what is goning on Over/There. My sweetie did not let me down. I was led to use the PC, +My blinders now off, We have been turned into sheep. Wake-Up:)

Nancy, please help me understand what you are saying! Am I to understand that your "partner" passed and used the internet to reveal to you the final disposition of his (or her) spirit? And that the input you gleaned from that medium suggests that the 92% of people who do believe in God are wrong? Nancy, if a dinner plate got up and spoke this to us it still wouldn't be accepted but it would carry more weight than something as easily manipulated by man as the internet! Can you share your story?
