how is this guy able to get away with this, can you say, copyright infringement? i hope that the buddy holly estate and the crickets get part of the money
Drifting away from the essence that made the original "Crickets" so remarkable.
Nothing special here, but good effort, much respect to anyone keeping "Buddy" going, this proves how hard it is to play his music, when "he" (Buddy) only got to perform the tunes a handful of times himself.
seen these guys last night at the arts guild here in greenock, they were awesome, fantastic, what an atmosphere....and the band is called buddy holly and the cricketers...brilliant..
Norman Petty did sometimes play keys on Buddy's records and Vi Petty sometimes piano. That may not help if you hate keyboards. I was impressed with these guys and I was around for the originals.
I've seen marc and he is a good Buddy lookalike and a good singer and decent rhythm player, but he can't play leads like Buddy, so his show sounds great but falls short in the reality department when he uses a guy on stage to play Buddy's lead guitar parts. Only the real Buddy had the whole package. This is the second site I've seen you on commenting on marc being better. Are you on commission?
I couldn't agree more - What's with the acoustic guitarist and the keyboard player with sax? - Sounds good but big show style is unlike the raw Buddy Holly trio - this is broadway not rock n' roll.
to the people who say he had a guitarist.. he did.. tommy allsup. and nick sullivan both collaborated with buddy holly

Huh... that was sorta weird. I see more of a cheesy entertainment spectacle than any real resemblance to Buddy Holly and the Crickets.
