  • Wow, wow, wow!!! This is sheer magic---just seeing Judy, Frank, and Dean together on a stage. I am so grateful for Youtube. Without Youtube this music video would be lost. Does anyone know anyway to see the whole special, without interruptions?

  • @SoutherCaliforniaGuy This special has been on dvd. It may be out of print, but there are probably copies available on ebay or Amazon. I'd do a search for all three of the singers together.

  • WOW CAPITALWOW my parents' generation was sure swingin'! love judy she dominates with that voice!

  • i'm a two day old fetus and i love this music.

  • for all you young people being subjected to the music of today you cant even compare that was music .the music i shouldnt even call music we should call it nursery rymes....its garbage

  • hide the Jack Daniels!

  • @DoctorScuba Not from me, please. :)

  • this music rules its always great, great!!! its swingin , baby

  • I like how Judy Garland likes to make occasional eye contact with her singing partners, not just in this music but every time she sings.

  • lol Im a young girl with the most incredible smile

  • People don't seem to realize they are listening to the best songs of those times, before you spout how we need to go back to these times. Which i must admit were swinging. I'm just here to say this music is wonderful, but the grass is never greener. It's all dirt and you're the seed.

  • To all of the young people who are listening to this kind of music, DO NOT STOP!!! You are helping to keep it alive.

    This is classic!

  • 51 people have no taste for talent and don't appreciate an age when people didn't need autotune or TMZ to sell an album. I LOVE YOU DEAN MARTIN!

  • also Hot latin blond girl looking for someone to cam with me, come on

  • q trio x Dios! q talento!!!

  • Frank had his dark side but he was always there for Judy. She was broke more than once and even was sued at her lowest point. Frank helped her out. When she died there was no money and he paid for her funeral and to fly in the most important people. He like many of us loved Judy, knew her pain and honoured her remarkable and unique talent. There are no performers like this anymore and certainly none who stand by each other. Great clip... Thank you.

  • funny thing is,

i'm 13, and listening to music that came out before my parents were born.

  • Soy argentina y los vi desde lejos, NO HAY NADA MEJOR!!!!

  • You really only hear Judy in this trio which is amazing...

  • @wseabuck True, Judy is more audible in this clip. There's a reason, however. The key was set for Judy's vocal range not the guys. They had to sing in a lower register and therefore couldn't belt it out.

  • Yes,I am 16.Yes,Dino is my fav singer ever. And yes,I am proud to say so!

  • Yes,I am 16.Yes,Dino is my fav singer ever. And yes,I am proud to say so!

  • so I would advise You to sit back, relax and enjoy my company

  • WOW just WOW

  • How we miss you .Very Very Classy

  • Years ago men were debonair and women were classy, now we're stuck with the likes of "Lady" Gaga, Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, and all that trash. It's pathetic what the past few generations have turned our culture into... and I'm only 27.

  • @triplej2002 Good observation. It's so true!

  • My god, such talented people!!!what happened to this?? i want this era back! >_<

  • Imagine the bar tab from these three

  • @hampton769 ahaahahahahahhahhahhahhhah!

  • Imagine the bar tab from these three

  • Wish I grew up when this was going on ,Worlds all fucked up now,,,

  • how did this music ever die out into this disgusting music we have today, i mean bring this back! i dont listen to modern music and im 15 i listen to judy garland, frank sinatra, dean martin, barbara streisand.

  • @MargaretAnnePet

The money men changed it all. They swapped talent for easy money...........boy did they get it wrong.

    Stiglaa x

  • @MargaretAnnePet Amen to that!

  • @MargaretAnnePet well said my friend!!

  • @MargaretAnnePet iam 22 i like music from 40s-60's i am 22

  • @MargaretAnnePet most experts have blamed it on Ronald Reagan

  • Why oh why did Judy have to leave this earth such a tormented soul? If only she knew what a lasting effect she has on American culture... I suppose I was just born in the wrong decade.

  • Yes sirree, you see the real professionals there, in Dean Judy and Frank !!

  • I am 30 years old and love this music over any of the new crap now LOL...

i like todays music, but nothing beats the talent these people actually had.

  • Nagyon jó!!

  • magic time baby

  • I loved them all! Were they happy? I don`t know! When I see them I think it was a happier time than we have now!

  • I am 58..I was a little too young to really enjoy this wonderful music til later..It is wonderful hearing Judy Garland sing..you can tell she is exactly where is was happiest ..performing..

  • I love Dino. We're distant cousins- sorta. We share an aunt or something like that.

    Regardless, he's FREAKING AWESOME. <3

  • I love Dean Martin

  • i hate that people judge me for listening to oldies, FUCK that i can listen to i want mom

  • Who does NOT love you...... omg.... ty for this. I Love you Three.

  • Can you imagine the combination of smoker's breath? Could knock you over.

  • This is so high end. i am going to go look at some Ella Fitzgerald next. High class kids.

  • why couldn't music still be like this!

  • Who's in marching band and can't stand when they don't walk in step xD. Amazing performance though.

  • @ShdwProductions It's not a marching band, it's an orchestra.

  • @ShdwProductions Lol I was thinking the same thing. I so wish there were still class acts up to their caliber these days though. We totally missed out.

  • @ShdwProductions I have a feeling they didn't spend a lot of time in rehearsal, thus the lack of precision in the steps. I love them all, especially Frank and Judy, but Martin and Garland probably didn't want to work that hard rehearsing. Don't know if Sinatra was a hard worker or not. Judy in her prime could easily handle the footwork.

  • @TomYpsilanti I've read in a couple of accounts that Sinatra disliked rehearsing. It shows here in my opinion, his mucking up the steps twice. Seemed to me that Garland and Martin do a pretty good job of keeping up.

  • I remember this special in '62, I was home on leave from the service.

  • They could colorize but then they def did not lip synch

  • it goes a lot better if you just focus on Judy and Frank. They kill it. The other fella fries it.

  • The three best singers <3 im in love!!

  • love ur username;p i love rent too.

  • I think they are lip synching.......like Milli Vanilli. Or Britney spears. Backstreet Boys Rule!

  • The BEST... nothing in this category was every better!

    ..

May they all fly fly fly.........

  • Black and white or colour. Singers of this rank didn´t need a fancy studio set. Just to see them together is entertainment enough...

  • Dino was the best of his era and steel is better than Franky .

  • 3 ICONS FOREVER RIP

  • JUDY-DEAN=FRANK-SAMMY-LOUIE A. ANDY W. BOBBY DARIN THROW A COCKTAIL--I'M THERE AND I AM NEVER COMING BACK --2011 MEAN PEOPLE THAT HAVE NO CLUE--JUST STUCK IN THAT BELAIRE -CLASSIC-TIME--A SUMMERS PLACE WITH CLIFF ROBERTS & SANDRA DEE-I AIN'T EVER COMIN BACK-I LOVE THE 50'S DOO WHOP FRAME OF MIND--

  • Nothing exists anymore like this

  • this is wonderful.

  • Thumbs up if you're younger than 18

  • @MegaMasterSystem i am 13! :) we need more of this music! the current music is just all slutty and horrible. some of todays music is ok but this is real singing and music. :)

  • @MegaMasterSystem

    Nobody fucking cares.

  • @BelfastAtheist I don't think you're getting the essence of the poll I'm trying to achieve, here.

  • @BelfastAtheist People that matter do. Surely excludes you and your ilk.

  • @MegaMasterSystem

and thumbs down if you're not.... the fight is on!

  • The look, the sound, and the style of the 60's what an era, when cool was really cool and life was a Vegas Show!!!!

  • We seek to create a time machine, but theres one right in front of me......to see these three legends in their prime is fantastical, classy indeed.

  • these guys don't need any props hey they don't even need cuff links. This is understated CLASS!

  • Norman Jewison directed this Garland TV special....

  • You got that right.!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was named after her. My mom thought she was the best.

  • What a wonderful sound!

  • classic music heaven. three incomparable voices in one video.

  • um they had fun and did'nt take themselfves too seriously . That why they are so good.

  • A fucking miracle! Three devout, life-long alcoholics all sharing a lucid moment. The odds are astronomical!!

  • @Virtuosic1 You're kinda funny....kinda....but seriously, where did you get the info that Dean and Frank were "devout, lifelong alcoholics"....from what I read Dean just played the part and Frank battled depression.

  • @ultraroadmap Nope. They weren't pretending. Frank could drink just about anybody under the table at Toots Shors, and Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, was more of a trio than a duo. Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin & Dean's close friend Jack Daniels.

  • What a classic ! i am making a playlist - S.A.M. it stands for Sweet American Music and it is a compilation of songs that celebrate America, Americana and the country's cultural heritage - this song is most definitely on it. !

  • i bet those 48 dislikers feel like dicks

  • @SaintSatanX Make that 49, thank you very much, and I don't feel anything like a dick, though I have a pass-around party sized cock and a half right here in my pantaloons!

  • Now here are to guys helping ..The Come back of Judy .... There not to sissy to be good people

  • Ha! i think there's allot more of us young whiper'snappers with this a jazz music taste than many of us thought.

  • love it .. 1:24

  • I LOVE MEDLEYS!

  • 3 in1, great package!

  • It does my heart good to see young kids embracing real music

  • I once told a girlfriend I love Judy Garland, and she flipped on me. I was like chill, she is not alive, and she still flipped.

  • Omg I thought it was just me. I'm a 90s child and to be honest, excluding all the technology, i hate the era I'm living in. I love all the classic music.

  • @naruto5809 haha i feel the same way i was born in the wrong era !!!!

  • I'm a 90's child and I love this music Sammy, Dean, Frank, Nat and Many more. Lets never let this die because lets face it... This Is Real Music.

  • I'm 17 and this is talent at it's absolute greatest. And listen to that voice of Judy, she's got more power than Dean and Frank!

  • @FilmBuffClassic no one cares that you're 17. It's irrelevant to what we're listening to.

  • @biggiesmaus @FilmBuffClassic It means A LOT that FilmBuffClassic is 17! It means that this music / style can reach across the generations. It means that this stuff really was that good! And it means that FilmBuffClassic has great taste!

  • frank's voice is like a razor

  • I love these kind of music and just what Gentry said..it's simple but just the best! thnks for sharing!

  • have u noticed that no matter what pitch they sing in u could always here Franks voice. All of them were great

  • @paramedicEmergency51 Frank Sinatra has the best voice ever in the world!

  • This is a wonderful video, thank you for sharing! I like how they kept it simple and not outdo each other with their voices. Frank and Dean let Judy's voice take center stage while holding their own.

  • really superb the voice!!!.

    the only one!!!...

  • Please, please, please, please, let there be love!!!!!!!!

  • There will never be anyone like them again, true entertainers!

  • Perfection

  • YES PLEASE LET THERE JUDY!!!

  • My generation could take (quite) a few tips from these 20th century all-stars!!! :D

  • pop music heaven. this is the best !!!!

  • this is just so beautiful.... I LOVE it!

  • Judy looks like a dyke in this. I think she wants in the rat pack.

  • Nice to see so many positive statements. I am lucky enough to have lived through the 40's, 50's and 60's and have heard or seen these great performers. The children of today do not know what they are missing. There were many, many more but these were among the best. I salute those of you that are young for your comments.

  • 3 of the best singers in the world. none of theses singers had the class like they did ..

  • WOW! That was really awesome!

  • nice dinos

  • Notice there isn't any glitz or glam behind them or around them while they sing. Their combined voices are the show. Today everything is fast or faster, loud or louder. I'm a #1 fan of rock music, but there is just something about hearing voices blend together to make music that makes my heart sing. There is no need for anything else to make this one of the best videos I've seen in a long time! Simple is better.

  • @Gentry1970 that' because if you have REAL talent like these 3, glitz and glam are not necessary.

  • @Gentry1970 You're so right... one of the things i absolutely ADORE about these old performances is that the artists did really just relied on themselves rather than on a bunch of 'fireworks" around them... these WERE the good old days =)

  • @Gentry1970 100% on the money, that's all they needed then.

  • @Gentry1970 I agree whole-heartedly. I too have always loved rock. AC/DC was one of my all time favorites. Yet, I have always been drawn to the great voices. These three needed no extraneous trappings, they just opened their mouths and excitement streamed forth in song. I must say, however, that Judy had so much power in her voice she was on the verge of overpowering the other two throughout the whole song. That being said, this is as fine a performance as I have ever seen.

  • @Gentry1970 if it was in black and white, the background wouldn't of really mattered

  • this is true music and i wish it were to come back.

  • what a terrific trio! this music instantly takes you back to that wonderful era. there is a new band that is doing that. frank, dean, sammy -- rolled up into one amazing vocalist and band. ck them out.

    search cinnamon doll jazz

    enjoy!

  • ...and they could all hold their liquor as good as anybody!

  • This is such a kick, I love it.

  • OMG, a dream is coming true... three of my favourite musicians of all times together... AWESOME!

  • American culture!!!!!Jeese I thaught it was international

  • In fact, if 90% of the music back in the days was good, now only 1% is. I miss good music. Music nowadays is not even about creativity, how to make people laugh or cry or feel what you want to say. Before, back in the good ol' days, we had poetry, now we only have rhymes. And we all know that poetry is not only about rhyming....(plus repeating sentences like 30 times in a song)

  • Listen to RARE Frank Sinatra song , just search :

    FRANKY FAZE AND FRANK SINATRA

  • epic...

  • goods.c.,

  • very good

  • Now this, my friends, is classy.

  • This makes this day music and artists .....fade into nothing. These guys were truly great artists..bring it back!

  • @brighton891 Man do I agree with you!

  • Old fashioned values. And they are right, riches wont bring you any happiness when your old. Well probably not anyway.

  • They probably didn't mind each other's smoker's breath.

  • and my generation has justin bieber and lady gaga... o joy.

  • This is so great, 3 mega stars, I love this!!!

  • I'm gonna guess this is from the late 60's?

  • @XtrmMcjohnson It's from 1962.

  • shu tup oe. shiet

  • This is the Golden Age of Music . . . . I don't think we'll ever see singing like this at it's zenith ever again!

  • oh how i wish i coulld go back to these times!

  • what a trio

    GRRRRRRRREAT

  • Oh, man... All 3 of them represented the best of American kick-ass talent. Big singers. Big personalities. BIG superstars. This trio is like some shocking happenstance. Not one--not ONE--"star" today could wipe their boots.

Hollywood was a harsh mistress, esp.then: Garland happened to be very on top when this was filmed 1961-62 (5 Grammys, No. 1 album of the year, Oscar nom, huge ratings for her TV specials). Then Judy wilted & Frank came back, then Dean. On and on.

    Fighters All. Class.

  • Love this video, if anyone gets the chance they should check out Dave Lennard he is a great new singer

  • When class meant real class.....

  • They, and other like them, are the joy of our lives.

  • I think non-americans appreciate this type of music more than americans do, even though in truth it is what should define american culture.

  • JUDY BLOWS BOTH OF THESE HAS BEENS OUT OF THE WATER. Just sayin...

  • @parkerstage I wouldn't call Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin "has beens", but I agree with you that Judy Garland outsings the both of them put together. She was in incredible voice here!

  • THAT WAS SO AMAZING!!! MY HEAD EXPLODED FROM THE AWESOME!

  • I watch this and I am happy. Period. No matter what my mood before.

  • It doesn't get any better then this! Emagine being able to watch talent like this every week! Unreal. I was born 20 years to late. :-( LOVE.
