  • very good man !!

  • @lokiskillz the internet! :/duh

  • I just bought a pair of Numark ttxusb tables and they are bad ass!!! I was sick of using the technic 1200's tables. But i also use the Denon 3700 digital cd tables as well. Unfortunately everything is going cd,digital these days. For all the new dj's out there buy & learn on cd tables. Trust me thats where its at.

  • Lol weird turntables try to get technics 1200 but still a good mix

  • Dude first track is freakin' rare ! where did you get it ?!

  • Comment removed

  • 00:36 <33 i lov ya

  • It's a problem for you, I guess. I'm noting that you didn't capitalizwhere you should have at the beginning of your post. Check yourself first, Officer Caps.

  • Wow, my young friend, solid mixing!

  • MY FRIEND. I'M NOT A DJ, SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OR EQUIP., BUT I CAN SAY THAT I SCOUR YOUTUBE FOR GOOD BREAKBEAT AND THIS MIX IS IN THE TOP 10% OF WHAT I'VE HEARD. I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO BREAKBEAT/JUNGLE/DNB, ETC. SINCE 95. YOU HAVE TALENT. NICE WORK. NUFF SAID.

  • @matteo1a

    caps lock problem? :D

  • RESPECT!!!!!

  • I liked this mix, decent!

  • hahahahah dude I have that same album! Track name is block rockin beats. If you flip it over to the house remix side, it goes good with house plant records -)

  • dude this rocks

  • Nothing wrong with mixing nothing but breaks. I agree with some other posters. Good mix, keep it up. and your sound is your sound, not no one else's (this goes for mixes or producing, don't matter)!

  • The only I have left to say is "What a fantastic mixing"

  • good mix

  • Nice mix, but If u can mix that good after 1 week, i'm guessing you spent the whole 168 hours of the week doing nothing but mixing, no sleeping, eating or anything!

  • nice one :)

  • i havent been djing very long at all. and im 14 and dont exactly have the best turntables so i just use a mixer, speakers, and a laptop and prerecord the stuff of a dj software. do you think people would still hire me if i prerecord it? and if i dont scratch or anything

  • @WonderxBreadx they might hire u if you're good enough ;) but it depends on what country are you from, and what are the laws there about hiring under 16 years olds ;)

  • @WonderxBreadx No chance m8, you need to practice a lot longer before anyone will hire you. What would they hire you to do, play a tape, anyone can do that? Learning to mix and scratch doesn't come overnight, it looks easy and the basics are but there are far more dj's out there today than 20 yrs ago and competition is fierce. Spend at least a couple of yrs before you do this properly, thats enough time to build up skills and know whether you want to pursue it. U def need decent decks though.

  • @WonderxBreadx Yeah, maybe give it a try, but I don't think you will get very far with that. I think you should start DJing with freeware (Virtual DJ or sth) and when you think it's really something you want to do for more than just a few weeks, you should get "real" dj equipment and start partizing. And THEN you should go to the clubs.

  • @djS0nics

never start on virtual DJ, seeing visuals will never make you a DJ, train your ears is the only way to learn, I started on a soundlab all in 1 junk and slowly moved up n up to pioneers... i use programmes to structure mixes, but never mix from the softeware

  • @Auziway "train your ears" - agreed

"visuals will never make you a DJ" - agreed

"never start on virtual DJ" - not agreed!

You can see if mixing (NOT BEATMATCHING) is something you like to do and if you don't, you won't throw your money down the drain.^^

  • @WonderxBreadx

NEVER pre-record anything, always have a rough idea of tunes that u know will go with other tunes, n soon enough you'll be able to mix anything to anything, good luck

  • @WonderxBreadx kid, imma tell u this. if you prerecord your mix, whats the point of you being there. your not djing if you prerecord mixes. your just playing songs at that point. learn to dj before you try being a dj

  • Awesome mix, awesome video.

  • i am using the same turntables man lol.my other tt200 is broke.

  • lol u gotta b mixin 4 more than a week tho after 1 week 4 me it still sounded like sum1 fallin down the stairs but good mix tho =]

  • Nice, very nice!

  • where do you buy your breakbeats?

  • nice tunes, they make this nice to listen too. If this was a week, what can u offer now? let us know

  • eeehh...nice vinyls...but boring work while playing...nothing is happening....cheers

  • Very nice :) I've been djing for about a month now, i've posted my first breakbeat mix as a responce tell us what you think please :) Btw, i dont video myself doing it as i use a hercules midi controller, so its not as intersting to watch as decks :P Cheers, Mike

  • this is ace!!

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!

  • Specimen A - Exodus WUAPISIMA!!!!! ^^

  • Are those the TT200 you are using? What do you think of them? Are they good beginner decks?

  • they r the best for beginners :)

but here the grey one is TT-USB

    200 is better

  • no metter how long how in what way you did it...for me it sounds awesome and i love it....even couse all of the tracks aer favs :P...wicked job and congrats mate ;)

  • or can we have it uploaded HQ or HD ?

  • cool can you send me the track ? :D

  • Nice job! you know about music I can see try arranging your tables in "Battle" formation makes it alot easier and keeps from knockin your needles out!

  • nice!

    love this too

    /watch?v=Kuv1Mvkq-Ts

  • he bin mixing longer than a week. Its one thing knowing music like being classicly trained n then being able to jump on a set of decks and beatmatch - but this guy is matching perfectly, he's using the eq's to a high stanard, and most importantly he's bringing in his mixes in at the right times and he knows where everything is on his mixer/turntables! no hesitation, looks very comfortable. He's said 1 week cuz he dont realize how good he is, and he's worried ppl will say its sh*t! sick mix mate!

  • no man! thats a week :) but i read a lot about mixing b4 starting.. and i've heard a lot of bad comments about it from experieced DJs.. and how can u say that i mixed at the right times if they are all mixed at the breaks of the tracks? ) bigup

  • if you have been mixing for 1 week in this vid then very good, i'm ashamed of myself! hats off to you dude!

  • lol maaan i dont care if your mixing in the breaks, it works! and it works very very well! bringing tunes in the right places means bringing it in to any part of the track, intro, outro, breaks, drops whatever - the right place is the place where you can make a sick transition or cut that will keep the mood/pace and stand out as a mix. Too many dj's go by the book, maybe mixing in the breaks for a whole hour is bad, cuz the crowd needs breakdowns here and there, but ten minutes is cool man!

  • well thanx.. that made my years grow.. :D

  • Only like this keep moving!!!!

    EXCELLENT!!!!

  • Great mix !!

  • ride on man !! ^^ i love breaks and this rox !!!

  • 07:28 OMFG, YOUR MUSIC AVESOME 5/5

  • Great stuff.... keep it up bro, shame there isn't much call for nu skool breaks in the clubs in london, as it's all hiphop & r'n'b

  • DAMN KID!!

My hat is really off t to you on this mix!

    QUALITY!!

  • What can i say.....BRILLIANT! Had me boppin from start to finish! Really good , keep it up!!!!!!

    :-)

  • 0:42 kick ass

  • he didnt he was probably shown some shit by another dj and mixing isnt hard making your own beats and riffs is alot harder

  • He might played music before he started to dj? My brother is a professional classical musician and he could beatmatch and mix a bit the first time he touched my decks - although in his case he had been working as a sound recordist and engineer for people at the university.

  • great track list :)

  • coool :)

  • sweetest tune #2... drop some more fatties when you get home buddy... love to hear the new additions!

  • not a bat mix buddy,

but dragenfly101 is right because wen you improve you willwant better equp

    keep it up tho

  • awesome beat !!!!

  • is there anyway i can get a mp3 of this?

  • if u have bitcomet installed, right click anywhere on this page, choose 'download media files', and download this video, later u can convert it to mp3 using ojosoft total video converter, or somethin like that

  • yes there is. if u want 2 send me a private message i will tell you how 2 do it

  • Ide spend every spaire £/$ you have on better equipment

  • Equipment doesnt make you good. Talent does.

You can create a peice of art from either paint, or a pencil.

  • @djfunkshowkid

so you're saying you could pull off that mix with an eight track and a tape recorder?

just teasing. talent is the main element for sure. Good equipment does not hurt though. I think a lot of dj's now a days are using a laptop and turntables that don't play records.

  • @djfunkshowkid this is extremely true, HOWEVER. i would like to say I've owned some stanton str8 60's or 80's or whatever, I can't remember but the pitch control was HORRIBLE! and I didn't know it untill I tried mixing on my friend's 1200's.....and about 2 years of issues I thought were my lack of skill, suddenly got out of the way.

  • skill!!

  • Some talent you got there =]

  • Amazing mix, everytime i watch it seems better, Damaska, you got to do a new mix or post a set! wicked stuff!

  • thanx m8.. im gonna..

im just out of the country right now..

there is one more.. check it out

  • nice gear, matching decks needed tho

  • why is that?

  • well u dont need them but i just thought it would get annoying having 1 curved n 1 streight arm no?

  • yeah, a bit.. but u get more experience having different ones :) so thats the reason i have them different..

  • fair enough!

  • thats intense!

    how old are you?

  • 25 :)

  • ma che e stammerda

  • hey good job on ure spin tables dude :)

  • Whats the song at 6:50??

  • Specimen A - Exodus

  • very nice mix, well done - do u get much work?

  • iget some if i search for :)

im not a proffesional dj tho.. im doing this for fun

  • ite eveyone! how do you record the sound as good as that mate? or have i just got a shit camera.

  • u stick the mixers master output into the "line-in" of the computers audiocard

  • so electrifying!! hahahahah

    .. kinda cool!!

  • sweat!

  • That second vinyl had 'counterfeit beatz' on it, i've heard the tune before but only ever seen it as a white label.

  • Are you serious, thats WICKED sick. gotta love that second track

  • Any tips on making a breakbeat mix?

  • Put the needle on the record! :-)

  • lol i love that sample

  • nice mix but how come uv got 2 different turntables :S

  • 10x, but duz it matter?

  • Fucking light it up mate, good one.

  • Yessss you're right, it is chemical brothers.

  • its cut'n'run :)

  • Very good mix,but when is it in your personal page?

    Ciao.From Spain

  • somebody give an awsome playlist

4 rolling i never like tech before

    i rolled now i fucking love it=]

    hit me up plur

  • im a lil confused by your msg :D

check the video description tehres the play list.

  • He means he didn't like electronic music until he tried ecstacy lol.

  • UR SIK

  • ehat is the track list? i like your mix's!! keep it reeeeel

  • so its not like tht on all decks?? cus like as soon as i try to drop the second beat after get it just the right tempo, it fukin goes all over the place again! ow wel =)

  • lol i brought those exact same decks =) but only on monday

  • Hey, don't forget that that's the Screwface mix of Insecticide - Wicked tune. Grimey bootleg of Block Rockin beats to. I bloody loathe numarks!!! BPM drifts so much on those things. Good to learn to mix on though, you learn to keep a lighter touch on the decks. Massive mixing skills and thanks for actually knowing what the hell nu skool breaks is.

  • This is awesome dude!

  • and now that my knowlege about mixin is a bit higher i even know why this one is so good even that i just started - cuz i somehow (i think luck) got them mixed in the right key.. perhaps :D

  • this one is posted on may 2007 thats when i've stargted mixing.. and the one i posted 8 months ago.. i think is a bit better(double drops and stuff) this was after a year maybe.. and i even updated my gear.. do i have to explain this?

  • good mix. little tip: try sum more basic hip hop moves like "stop" to cut off a break and backspins and basic scratches to hit off a new mix. it gives a little skillz feel to it and is not hard to do. keep it up!

  • great!

we are waiting for your next mix!

  • wow man, for one week mixing this is amazing! great mix!

  • gr8 mix, especially for only 1 week? Keep it up, breakbeat is the sickness!

  • great mix! where can i get ur audio?

  • Brilliant stuff my good man.

  • you sure you've only been mixing for a week?

damn...you're good bro, keep that shit up!

  • to say the obvious = to say nothin'

  • Ecellent good mix i love it

  • is that one of those magnum chambers slipmats? theyre sick lol

  • nice mixer and turntables:) good mix I've been mixing for 4-5 months but i dont have so good stuff:(

  • good mix and deffantly good tunes i have nearly all of them but dnt rush like the beginig tune u started like at the second drop :s just dnt rush people will love to hear the whole tune

  • Yeah maybe in a set. Not in a tenminmix where he is demonstratng mixing skil. If he played whole tunes he would only manage 1 mix in 10 mins :s

  • ♪♫♪!

  • Good stuff!

  • I love breakbeat 4 times a week I listen to it!Bboy life rulz :P

  • what is this song a 09:00 minute??

  • nice job ;-)

  • Good stuff.

  • respect! dope for only a week!

  • jako™!!!!!

  • man you are pretty good, i like the way how you find the right speed..., nice, keep on mixin' , you are good at it

  • the music is cool but you dont do anything.

  • i dance to the music!

  • cool... i tried this - its hard.... can you give a name of songs ?plss..

  • description!

  • killa mix man!

  • what is needed for a beginner, such as myself, to start out with???

  • 1. good will

    2. i dunno what kind of a beginner u r, but i will recommend you some "tutorials for the the complete beginners" of the guy named ellaskins here on youtube, its difficult to find the tuts you need here - so u better check his site out!

  • Nice playlist & Nice choices

  • mine not yet.. very busy with work, and no time to create.. but i can give you some demos of my friends..

  • thats cool bro!

  • been to a party with a line-up of 5 DJs and they've got their own gear already - and that was in another country.. so couldn't bring mine if needed anyway..

  • nice job~ You're doing great~

  • legendary dude :) loving the first 4 songs, not so keen on the Peacemaker tune but still 5stars ^^. keep it up.

  • lovely shit indeed.Well done!

  • rich? :D 700$ for all that..

pretty cheap for a dream :)

  • i'm mixing since about 10 years now and from my point of view: this is ridiculous, one week? amazing!! way to go,mate...you're gettin' there, you've got serious skills ;)

  • aah mayte i think your really good :D

    specially for 1 week! wow

is there any chance of downloading this as a .mp3? lol

  • is .wma ok? :D

    damaskal . com/BBmix.wma

    mind the caps

  • Great Cheers :D keep up the good work

  • well i've been learning all by myself, ni dj schools, just some tutorials from ellaskins..

as for touching the platter: its not the matter of being stupid or not, its different techniques, thats how i learned to mix and thats how i do it.. as for CD decks i do touch the jog-wheel, not 4 vynil..

    thanx anyway!

  • Anyone know what the tune is called that drops at 6.34 mins its wicked i love that bass x

  • specimen A - exodus

  • 1 week? i've been goin for about a week and im not taht good..yet ;)

  • AMAZING! 10/10 !!

  • lol. your beatmatches happen a bit too quickly for me mate, you dont even adjust the record once....hmm. knowing the speeds before you mix isnt proper mixing.

  • ? dont u see me using the pitch control? I just dont like to touch teh platter!

  • who is the first and last tracks on this mixbro???bad still shit hot cuzz!!!

  • good stuff, keep it coming

I am thinking of starting out with cheap gear and I learned alot watching you.

  • This is going in my favorites so please don't take it down anytime soon. I love it.

  • Yo! The Counterfeit beatz remix of Block is dope, I have it myself and makes the people bounce on the floor every time. I use to bring it on right after Saturate (Electronic Battle Weapon nº 8) and it kills any Chemical Brothers fan out there. Look for the Counterfeit Beatz re-work of Right Here Right Now, I think its deleted now but its a hell of an anthem.

And anyway, not bad if you've only been a week into it!

  • who's remix is that block rockin beats? where can I get it?

  • i dont know whos remix is that, but i know its released on Counterfit Breaks label

  • its very good

  • just a tip because i don't think i saw you doing this much... take down the lows as much as you can when bringing in the new mix so bass drums dont clash lil trick makes the mix sound even better.. did not notice any clashes in this just a tip in case ya did not know:P

  • i like the music is there track were i can download

  • damaskal . com/BBmix.wma

  • perhaps the good song selection was a coincidence.. the second mix is quite a mess.. check out the my dnb mix..

but who knows? maybe im a genius to learn that fast =))

PS: i like my music taste too =))
