  • I was last in Paris in January 2010 and just randomly today that jingle popped into my head. The power of commercials

  • Couldn't get this tune out of my head! lol

  • Lol you are right!

After I was in France I could not get that out of my head! (still can`t, even now!)

  • The jingle reminds me of the start of Soulja Boy

  • @CanadianJay28, i couldn't stop thinking about that when i was over there. every single time, i felt the unbearable need to superman a ho.

  • i like the sound..very significant sound of french trains!

  • oh my goodness, thank you so much for posting this!! brings back fond memories of living in france!

  • I love the SNCF jingle

  • I've set this as my mobile ringtone for an incoming text message... and then I went to France... Every time I passed a bloody station I was reaching for my phone...

  • Only heard in France

  • yea, its the jingle of the franch company of trains ;) it's very catchy

  • How can so many people also have this jingle stuck in their heads? It's so short and only heard in Paris. I thought I was the only one :)

  • I know because I am so much as a montpellier

  • this is not the station of Montpellier Saint Roch said stp fmahalem

  • hmm, yes it is! I was heading to Nice from Valencia, and I had to swap trains in Montpellier. I think you can't tell actually, there's not enought clues on the video.

  • Love it! We just came back from France- our hotel was so close to the train station we could hear this jingle when the window was open.

  • isn't there another one too? I think maybe on the rer lines, which chimes and plays twice? I remember this one too getting in my head for days following a European trip last year.

  • Soulja Boy or what?

  • Where can I get this jingle for my phone??

  • i don't know where i can get the jingle but i have the full song

  • where did you guys get this sound for your phones?

  • This is my phones text sound.

  • So is mine. And my e-mail signal, too.

  • Could you tell me where I can get it, it would be great to put that on my phone :)

  • hey david , i can get you the full song if you want

  • lol I thought it was my original idea :)

  • There is a jingle on SNCF or Paris Metro that has three rising tones then a chord.

    Is that still in use?

  • yeah! i know the one you're talking about! I think the SNCF scrapped that after the rebranding.. although its still in use at some stations..

  • I love this!! Great noise.

  • I love this... my mom and I were stuck at the train station in Vernon for a few hours and I heard this so many times that day. I tried to catch it on my cell phone, but could never time it right.

  • this jingle reminds me many good things lol

    merci ^^

  • I find it quite cheesy as a jingle (so common-sounding) - I prefer the three tone Swiss Railways jingle (but maybe that's just because I take issue with the SNCF)

  • haha, when we went to paris, every time we heard that jingle, it reminded me of soulja boi, seriously everytime it played i tarted singing it!!!

  • Great and unique Jingle ! It's like having the best of France in 3 sec. I love it.

  • I think her name is Simone. I just researched it. Her voice is all over French railroad stations. She's the one who says "Le train à destination de / Montpellier / va partir dans...there is always a pause. She must have recorded many clauses so they can be combined. She can't be in every city at the same time, right?

  • the pause is like a bug of the mpg encoding, i had to film a several seconds to record this song, and then i had to edit, and that made a glich on the audio

  • @ed1976atx

yes, it's the same lady all over France, she recorded a word bank for all the announcements so that the computers just have to choose the words they want to create an announcement! You can notice it espacially when she says the train number.

I don't like this little musical jingle, I live just next to a train station and it's worse than the former one... but it's true that it is catchy!

  • old one was better, you can still hear it in some provincial towns

  • France is the greatest country in Europe.. bar Germany.. everything is just beautiful or beautifully done.. the streets and buildings are spanking clean.. and the people are brilliant once vous parlez francais!

  • man i was in france for a while. and i couldnt get that outta my head for ages. i actually looked forward to getting the train just to hear that. how sad am i?

  • no man...this jingle is almost rock'n'roll

  • I can definitely understand you, I just love that jingle!

  • Hey, What's the title of the song that's taken from? I remember hearing it once on the radio and I was like "WTF?, THIS IS THE TGV JINGLE!!". It's a decent techno tune, but I can't find the title...

  • excellent tune

  • I hate this tune (which stays in your head for days) along with the new "hype" logo ... It looks like a smashed strawberry chewing gum.

EDF however made a much greater work in improving its tunes and image. Check "EDF - Le Robot" here on Youtube for an example.

  • I love this sound, it's magical.

  • "Papaplaaaaa"

  • I did so too at CDG2 station. :)

  • i work on the railways i think it would beat our annoucements

  • haha...the jingle is classic...i was gonna record it at the station myself but you saved me the leg work...thanks!

  • I work on the railways in the UK. I think if we used a tune like this before annoucements there would be a fucking riot! But then our annoucements only carry bad news and the French have more to sing about on their system. Merci beaucoup!

  • wow...now that's depressing

  • how do i get the full chimes

  • yeah - I love this too! Have you d/l the extended mix version - its preety cool.

When it comes to class - the French rule!!

  • thanks for posting this! my friends and i would keep singing this song every time someone would "arrive" in a room. thanks!

  • what station is this??

  • this station is in Montpeller
