2:12 lol! Are you geisha or ghost? Interesting video! I never heard of maiko either until I came to Japan and went to Kyoto. I never heard of geiko for that matter either not knowing about Kansai-ben. I have to side with Kanto-ben here though because to me the word "geisha" sounds nicer than "geiko" IMHO which sounds almost like "gecko" a lizard that sells car insurance.

Maiko is "geisha in training." Geishas have to go through the Maiko process first.

Plus, prostitutes tie their obi in the front, Geishas don't, they tie it at the back.
