Carlotta, I gotta admit, I FELL IN LOVE with Correen's elegance, sweetness and wit onstage. She's truly lovable isn't she? Just the perfect lady for the themes of the songs that she cowrites and sings about! Truly, they are one of the rare quintessential bands of the 20th Century!!! How HAPPY I FELT while I watched them perform....and oddly enough, I felt SO sad as I was walking away from the Big Dome that night...SIGH! There never was nor will be another Swing Out Sister....EVER!
tsk...tsk...poor me...was not able to watch their concert...they're the best group I knew then and now...Oh well, guess I have to be contented with updates...Thanks for sharing...
Corrine wore a custom-made BArong Tagalog ( ankle-length, like a trench coat) on top of her all-black-fitted outfit tonight on the 2nd set of their show (Araneta)!!! She was so beautiful! Voice as strong as ever!
Shit!! I can't believe Manila is getting Swing Out Sister concert!!! They must be doing a concert on their way back from a vacation on Boracay Island.
Do that, dahling!!! I'll be seeing them for the first time and I don't doubt that it's gonna be worth it. My mum can't even persuade me to come home since I left for Dubai in 2001...had she known it was only SOS who'd do the job, she would've organized the concert herself. Ahh, bless I'm watching it with her!!! xx
Alas, I have a job that I can't leave at a moments notice. Oh well, hopefully they might have a concert in LA. Most of my friends and cousins are watching it. Enjoy the concert with your mom. I'm sure you're gonna have a blast as I did 16 years ago.
I first saw them in their 1990 concert at the Ninoy Aquino stadium, with "Waiting Game" as the encore song. Then in 1992, the group again held another concert at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, where they sang their new song "Am I the Same Girl?" and with vocalist Corinne growing her hair long. They, however, did not sing "Waiting Game." The 1992 concert was not as jampacked as the 1990 show (tickets were sold out 2 days before the concert). Ohh, those were the days.
i was fortunate to be able to watch the concert. love it love it love it love it!!!!!!
=)

How lucky for the Phillipines. We are waiting for SOS in America. Nice promo commercial, they should draw big!
