Oh my god.. The Holidroid app review contest there was 80 serious reviews and 2 comical ones. Watching some of these videos though blew my mind. If that "don't go chasing waterfalls" one doesn't win I don't know what to say. I wouldn't have been able to compete with that.

I also saw some dude running around with a vacuum cleaner. That one was downright scary. People have been disliking the good ones because they don't want them to win. Happened last contest too.

Funny how the Android rap ditty is done by some amateur, when real rappers and hip hopsters (that sell records and are actually on the radio) are rapping about the iPhone. Nothing would be funnier than some blinged out hip-hop super star, who sips Dom Pérignon like it was tap water, getting out of a limo and bustin' out a G1. Face it -- Droid is the ersatz iPhone. flash is comming flash is commng ...how long is it now ? 3-4 months do they really wanna release flash on g1 ? i'm on contract, 2 months to go , was waiting for g1 but now ... -no flash -poor camera -no root (you must 'hack it') - no multitouch (can android market allow apps with multitouch if it's not officialy in the phone ? ) -no mini jack -not so many apps in android market - maps not stored on the card, (big transfer bill if using as navigation abroad) it;s too pricy for now

good point with the root thing =p It's open source, you don't need to jailbreak it, like another touchscreen phone I'm thinking of, in order to have fun modding it. The G1 is great, I'm saving up for one right now.

yeah. theres an app called Locale where you set conditions for it to do things. for example, when you get within range of the movie theatre or school or anywhere you choose, it will turn the ringer on vibrate. or disable/enable wifi or anything you choose.
